  • Nowack-Motortuning: Experiences?

Hello, since May 2004 I count myself among the lucky ones who are allowed to drive a Z4 3.0. I have been following this nice forum for a while (irregularly), but to my question I have found nothing about the search. After obviously higher motorized Z4 variants still wait for an indefinite time (new 3l with 258 HP possibly soon, Z4-M is in the stars), our sweetheart should get a small performance cure in the spring. r, namely the smallest expansion stage “NOWACK auto+sport Motorkit EVO II” with power increase approx. 25 kw / 34 hp torque increase approx. 30 NM – NOWACK exclusively sports camshafts (EVO I) – Optimization of intake air guide (RAM-air) – sport air filter with increased air throughput – Optimization of engine software to above mentioned tuning components (for switching vehicles incl. speed band extension to 7,000 rpm) – V-max. suspension (V-max. > 250 km/h) – assembly costs: EUR 2.780,00 Hat any of you have already had experiences with Nowack, possibly even with this or another performance upgrade kit? I’m curious. Greetings Prian

  • Buy Z4, but which one with what?

Hi guys, I’m usually working in the golf IV forum… now since the z4 is out I have to say yes, I’m really in love! actually I’m satisfied with the power performance with my golf 4 gti tdi with 150ps and powerbox ca 180ps… but I’m short with a buddy and his z4! I’m just in love! now my question to you, best to the drivers who own one… I have about 28 000€ and a little more which would you advise me and with which equipment or kilometers of performance…? or even completely new? you notice the difference between 192 and 231 very much? what does it look like with sprit consumption? is it in the price-performance ratio? what do you pay so insurance? the 170ps does not come into question for me… about your answers I would be very grateful if you would report to me and very gladly also with pictures! just tell everything there is! lg stefan

  • Z4 2.0, when?

Hy, when is the Z4 with the engine from the 120i? It should be there from spring 2005, right? Greeting Speedy

  • Sad but true: With WR it’s much better

Do you feel the same way? After I have mounted the small 205er 15 inch winter tires again I have to find out again that they roll down quieter, better springs, much better straight out and noticeably faster speed up. if it just doesn’t look so poor !!! so also mature technically every season has its reize.

  • Too high demands on a used person….

Aloha, have looked at a used Z4 today and had to establish that either my demands are too high or the used Z4 are too bad. Ask yourself what I can expect from used Z4 and what mistakes I must overlook. The Z4 I looked at today, built 06/03 and only 10,000km had the following “muggles”: – Driver and passenger seat at the door side relatively worn off (abrasive, worn off paint) – quite deep scratches on bonnet (roughly It’s impossible to polish) – Parkschramme on the bumper – bluish spot on the interior of the door. Am I too pingy here or do I have to reckon with these defects? Especially the heavy seat wear is not likely to be at 10,000 km? Or is the Leder in the Z4 of such poor quality?

  • Beep – tone after inserting the reverse gear

Yesterday something strange happened to me. When I started to move backwards, suddenly a persistent repeating beep-ton (piep-piep-piep,….) sounded like I had a PDC and it detects an obstacle in the medium range (Piepte so in 1 Hertz clock). I was perhaps amazed. With the insertion of the 1st gear the noise was also gone again!! Only, I don’t have a PDC in the vehicle!!! And since I have the vehicle there was not this beepton yet. Does any of you have any idea what that could be or was??? Greetings Miko

  • Maximum speed / power Z3 QP 3.0

Hello together! I know that the Zetti is rather built for the country road, is also more fun. But what can it be that I have never reached the registered top speed of 250 with my small 3L-QP before? Until suddenly, I had 250 according to the speedometer for a short time. But it went down very strongly… Had just my QP for inspection II. Air filters and spark plugs were renewed. As engine oil I have Mobil1 0W-40 (instead of Castr Ol 0W-30). I tried it yesterday with a free, flat motorway again, but unfortunately it doesn’t work somehow. I managed almost 240 km/h according to Tacho. Climate was off, outside temperature was about 10 degrees. Is it because of the (standard) mixed tyres of BMW ex factory. The rims are 7.5 and 8.5 inches wide with tires 225/45 ZR17 or 245/40 ZR17. Do you have an idea what it might be about? What about you who drive a standard 3-litre QP? Thanks & Greeting from Leipzig ! patr1ck

  • Need information about sports air filters ?

Am I back, with a few stupid questions of mine??? At the Essen Motor Show I collected some conversations and product information for sport air filters. Now I’m also interested in installing a sport air filter from K&N 57i Performance Kit or raid hp Max Flow sport air filter kit b.z.w just the raid hp performance kit !! According to the manufacturer you would have a little more power increase 6-10 hp — more torque N/m — should be healthier for the engine — long Le 80000km — but has a different intake noise. Then I drove to my BMW workshop and then they told me if I would let this installation expire the guarantee. Do you have info`s or experience about sports air filters or is this just a game game ?? Mfg. Z4 SHARK

  • Z or not Z that’s the question

Hello everybody!! I’m facing a difficult decision. I’m driving a 325ti at the moment and I might want to get a Z4 3.0. But I’m not quite sure yet. I’m going to have to go a little further to work soon and that’s why I need a car that not only takes you there safely, but also makes fun. Probably a diesel would be a bit cheaper, but I think the diesel will end up as expensive/cheap as the petrol. t the diesel soundless and loaded with less emotions like a Z4. My 325ti is also fun to me, but since I always wanted to have a convertible… or rather a roadster… Besides, I want to “lose” my E46 because since the new E90 is out, it seems to me that all the packages with their crafted E46 were already in the starting holes. If I’m honest, it’s no fun to drive E46 anymore, if you have a variety of 18 year olds or half-strong ones Of course, the “teaching” also means pushing and so on. Usually there’s enough pressure on the gas here, because often it’s 316s that have been optically converted to M3 or 6-cylinders. Of course, it’s best to let them overtake them. But nevertheless, I can’t welcome this change. So Z’ians, what’s your opinion, Z or not Z?? Thank you for your support.
