  • Supermarket petrol stations

Hello, is there any ‘serious information’ from where the fuel comes from for the numerous supermarket filling stations (e.g. Metro, real, Globus, Kaufland)? A few years ago, the metro tank at my old place of residence was still printed “Sales in the name of ConocoPhillips” on the cash register below, in other words, the same fuel as at JET. Last time there was fuelled at Globus in the area, there was no such “note”. I am aware that we are in D at any time I still find it interesting, not least because of the current prices, whether certain “NoNames” also offer brand sprite.

  • Starting amount of 30 cents at the tank indicator for urea

I noticed that the clock for AdBlue on my tank in Germany has not started for a long time with the amount 0 Euro, but 0.30 Euro and approx. 0.3 Liter. Even if you don’t want to fill in at all, but only want to display the price at the column, this amount of the credit card will be charged. Without this ad you will not find the price (no price address at the tank). The customer will not be informed about this before. Although there are only 30 cents each time. Nevertheless the question: Is that allowed?

  • Autogas conversion Czech / Poland

Who knows trusted companies in the Czech Republic / Poland, which convert my Skoda to car gas. The offer of my workshop amounts to at least 2600,00 Euro. And they probably don’t have great experience with it, except in the invoice. So, can someone call companies, experiences and about-prices?!

  • Your opinion on this contaminated oil

Hello! After a turbo damage to an Audi A1 35 TFSI (Beziner!) the engine oil was analyzed to find the cause. Curious is that 13.3% diesel was found in it. What do you know about these values? – How old is the oil? – Where could the diesel come from? – does it fit to a turbo damage? – and to a coked piston? (the analysis was carried out by an Italian Labbor – I hope you understand it anyway, otherwise simply ask, I like to translate it)

  • 92 Oktan gasoline in Denmark —> More consumption normal?

Hey, I was on vacation in Denmark and had to find out that there are also 92 octan gasoline, slightly cheaper than 95. Test times fuelled… the engine run with the 1.4 TSI 140 hp was identical, I had the feeling that it pulls a little worse. But at the end of the tank were 7,8l on the consumption instead of otherwise around the 6.5 with the E10 95. Driving profile rather normal as always. Can fuel with too little octan lead to so much more consumption? Anyway, I had the impression that the low-performance This is the case in the United Kingdom and the United Kingdom, where savings have been eaten up several times by the increase in consumption.

  • Are there really differences between fuel brands?

Hello together. Either I only imagine this, or there are actually noticeable differences between the fuel brands at least in terms of acceleration. I drive for 15 years and about 140tkm a BMW 316I Coupe me lean 102 ps, so from the beginning no acceleration miracle. Either my popometer fools me or I notice noticeable differences between the two petrol stations Jet and Shell. I mostly refuel on the jet and sometimes on Shell, but my BMW comes to me like this. soon I will fill up the Super E5 at the shell I imagine that my BMW looks much more sparkling. Is there any point in that?

  • Freewheel more economical than engine brake?

Hello, I noticed that I have had a little more economical consumption (combined) than when I used the engine brake. First it was illogical for me, because the engine brake and thus the thrust-off no fuel flows, but at the same time more or less the vehicle is slowed down. Otherwise, the idling is running, however, the engine brake is rolling. In the end, I use the engine brake only if I actually have to brake (for example before a traffic light) skipping gears saves m. M.n. also. Why always. Switch almost always from 3rd to 5th gear. My consumption was last 1/2 liters below the com. standard consumption. At similar speeds I was at that time with use of the engine brake or not skipping the gears about half to 3/4 liters dub Has anyone had a similar experience?

  • Take that, you aluminum! (Or: How do you produce aluminum ethanolate?)

Moin, the constant sult over the alu corrosion leaves me no rest. Various test series with aluminium inlaid in E85 remained of course resultless, so I started a short time a further attempt. – Take off an aluminium tube – loop the passivation layer – Heat the whole thing with a gas burner on a few hundred grad celsius – And dip the thing then in a glass 96% ethanol. The whole gives a funny film boiling during immersion n: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qOIhWeowxQM That’s what you do for a whole evening… And then you find out from the alcohol damping that the alu has slightly discoloured on the remaining passive layer, but only there. I can’t say if the residue of the dedensing agent is now, for example. The bare aluminium doesn’t seem to be discoloured. I guess, without high pressure, it won’t be anything, and I conclude the short experiment as resultless. Greetings

  • SHELL V-Power Diesel, ARAL Ultimate Diesel

At our two residences in North Rhine-Westphalia and on the coast in NDS I have found in the last weeks that SHELL demands about 20 ct more for the super diesel, while ARAL is content for its Ultimate diesel with a surcharge of about 10 ct. On the normal diesel both providers are at the same level. Is SHELL better now or are they just greedier?

  • Trend change hydrogen? Deutz introduces ready-to-use 6-cylinder H2 burners!

Maybe you already know one or the other: click! How do you feel about this (even if the idea is not new)? BMW already advertised the Millenium with the BMW 750hL with ready-to-production H2 technology, but the concept did not come or even prevail at the end. Details about the 750hL .u. here. Details about the Clean Energy concept also here: click. Could the new development of Deutz be a real additional alternative to the electric car? I would love to experience the engine in driving operation once. there are no further technical details – for now?
