I have a question on the topic of alternative fuels: Is it true that you are cutting down rain forests for biofuel? Recently I read in the news that this means that the natural raw materials are scarce and that many people in developing countries need to starve so that we can produce the so-called biofuel. Unfortunately, I still don’t know much about the topic, but that would be a good opportunity to bring together his experiences and concentrate the information. Thank you in advance for your hopefully enriching contributions. Greetings from Minga

U.S. sprite (Hybrides 2 bar oil)
After the escalation in the MB thread, where it is about mixing 2 bar oil in the diesel fuel, I would like to start with a specific topic of my own. Here, it is to be against all contradictory opinions about possible harmful additives of fuels or motor oil, in the sense of fuel saving. I have carried out numerous tests and have come across a positive result, which many people here are thinking about. An ultimate additive, with which the economic sector has a positive result. My primary goal was to achieve this goal. My test engine is a 2.0 TDI BMM (140) model with pump nozzle technology, built into a Skoda Octavia Combi. The container that I collect myself consists of acetone, diesel speed of LM and 2 bar oil. It should be noted here that primary variability consists of the specially selected 2 bar oil (whether PD or CR). The combined container is fed into the diesel tank at a ratio of 1:100 with a full tank. In my case it resulted in 55 liters of tank volume 0.5 L (US additive). Here are my mixing ratios: Diesel Speed from LM: 1:1300 Acetone: 1:2500 2 cycle oil: 1:125 The 2 cycle oil in my case consists of 50% addinol and 50% monza (MITAN). Here you can distinguish between other manufacturers/ suppliers. In my engine there is currently LM Top-TEC 4200 5w30, which has been additiveed with Hydropulse and MoS2. My fuel monitor profile will be used for further discussions. updated in all aspects at regular intervals (see signature). Here again a link to the spritmonitor:blueskoda_hybrid_2Taktöl_spritmonitor Many greetings blueskoda

Biofuel also at Czech pumps ?
Hello guys! This is my first contribution here at Mototalk, I hope you can help me! On Google I unfortunately found GAR NIX to my problem except the usual “Blabla” Since I know that Czech petrol stations get their fuel from German tank storages (e.g. Hartensteiner Tanklager), to my question: Do the Czechs have a biofuel share in petrol now because they have to take off our “green” fuel? Or buy it pure? I ask you to care I still want to “clean” 100% fossil fuel at low prices because I own an older car and don’t want to participate in this E10 bullshit! 😉 mfg

Older Mercedes diesel and vegetable oil
Hello, I am thinking of getting older Benz from the 90s. Depending on what it will be, it could also become a diesel. Unfortunately, the diesel prices have shot up a bit. Now I wonder if I could drive with some diesel vegetable oil. Is it even cheaper to drive e.g. to the selgros and to buy some giant canister oil as additive or complete tank filling. Is the utopian? Are there much higher maintenance costs on a too? Greetings Psycho

Dissolve E85 Gunk on injection valves
Moin, I drive my Audi 100 with KE3-Jetronic on pure E85. Unfortunately, the car stinks in idle and lower speed range, so all ahead while maneuvering in parking lots, quite pathetic from the exhaust, although the wide-band probe Lambda 1.1 or even leaner reports. I had renewed the injection valves for exactly the reason 2 months ago. At the old ones on the nozzle heads already a thick layer of the black grease was attached. With the new nozzles the smell was a long time ago. eg, but unfortunately I’m beginning to notice it again. My guess is: The deposits deteriorate the spray image so strongly that no finely distributed fuel arrives in the combustion chamber. The fuel residues in the exhaust gas are smelly. Unfortunately, you have to unscrew the half suction tube with the engine to get to the nozzles. This is annoying in several ways, because you also have to pop off all kinds of rubber hoses and hats, which have now already 25 years on the hump and it surely at some point with tore thanks if you do it too often. Long talk, short sense: Has anyone had any experience with any additives that you pour into the tank, which dissolve the crumb again? Does the stuff dissolve when you fill up gas every now and then? Greetings

Additive + Premium Fuels?
Hello, I couldn’t find anything exactly aimed at my question, so I’m trying this way with my own thread. I would like to note that I don’t want to start a discussion about whether this or that is just money making by the manufacturers or not. My question is about the interaction between premium fuels and additional additives that you can add yourself. Ultimate etc. I read more often that the proportion of additives is extremely low. So it happened before that I found articles in which additional additives were advised not to add the premium fuels because their interaction could have a negative effect, while with normal diesel + additives no concerns were expressed. I wonder therefore, it’s kind of funny that I try to create a positive effect with additives, but if the proportion i n the premium fuels are too low and I want to help, I should rather resort to the “standard” diesel :-/ If there are people among you who use premium fuels + mix additional additives, I would be happy about your experience 🙂 Thank you in advance

Refuel what?
Hello, In the instructions for use of the car is only “OZ 96”. 90% of all petrol stations with me have only 95 Super. Gasoline with OZ96 is not available here at all. There is a single one that has 98 Super Plus. I first filled the 98er. Can I refuel the 98er Super Plus without any problems? Could I also take 95er? (is the only thing there is everywhere…) The car is a Lancia Fulvia from 1975. Thanks

Low fuel price for electric cars problematic
I read (the article is not up-to-date but from April http://www.financescout24.de/…/…is-for-electroautos-problematically) that the low fuel prices of the Germans now mainly buy SUV and off-road vehicles. The liter price for Super has fallen by 12 percent since 2010 and for Super Plus by 16 percent and for Diesel by even 21 percent. I would be interested in your opinion. Do you think that electric cars are ever competitive again? Or that electric mobility is slowly S The government will never create its one million planned electric cars by 2020 anyway.

Ethanol-free alternative to Ultimate 102?
Hello guys, my engine is not released for E10, therefore I consistently renounce E5. So far 2 Aral petrol stations were right on my way to work, but now I have moved and the next (Aral) tank is 20 km away. Since I am not so crazy to drive 20 km to refuel, the question arises to me if there is an equivalent replacement? Shell V-Power has definitely ethanol in it and also rather a bad reputation (and is even more expensive), what about Total or Agip etc.? Bitt e no discussions about sense and nonsense. My engine is 12:1 compacted, has also installed a software optimization with sharper field of knowledge and ethanol sensitive components. Normal E5 is released and I have already tried but then the car drives as if one holds tight in the back and in the stand it tickers like a Lanz Bulldog.

Converting gas plant to other car
Can one actually convert a gas system into another car? Think of converting my Audi 80 V6 2.8, which is already a bit old but in good condition, to liquefied gas injection. If nothing unusual comes in between I will drive it still well 100TKM. … but should it come to an early end then one could convert the system into an identical vehicle? My acquaintance (has an Audi A6 V6 2.4 with LPG conversion in Poland) told me that one can convert Gasnanla It has a certificate or something and is practically connected to the chassis number and thus you can no longer get a TÜV-single car. Is this true or is it possible?
