Mali is growing Jatropha Curcas in large quantities and wants to drive back the dependence on diesel fuel and export this oil. On our last trip with our fire truck Mercedes LAF 1113 B converted to PÖL we had an interesting conversation in Bamako with a local engineer. The Malian government wants to plant 50,000 ha Jatropha in the Sahel and in 10 years replace the majority of diesel imports. Jatropha can be everywhere there plant where nothing else grows. A rainy season is sufficient for the plant to develop and grow up to 8 meters high. Purgiernut must be harvested by hand and is three times as high in yield than rapeseed. Jatrophaoel is toxic and not suitable for consumption. The flash point is 140 degrees and is therefore much cheaper than Rapsoel. A disadvantage is the coagulation factor, at 2 degrees+ everything becomes butter. In the Sahel zone the entire D It would create millions of jobs for the harvest and it would be an export item for these poor developing countries. Development aid could be stopped. If Europe does not participate in it, then the Chinese will also do the business here. We will fly back to Bamako in November and we will put a workshop in Mopti on our two-tank system for trucks and cars. Mostly Mercedes short hoods from the 70s and 80s can be easily converted.

More consumption with Super Plus?
Hello, drive a Opel Astra J with the 1.6 suction cup with 115 hp (EZ 6/2015). Normal Super 95 is recommended according to operating instructions. So I drove a whole time. Since the engine has small hum frequencies at 2000 rpm, I tried it with E 10 and then also with Super Plus (98). Quite amazing was that the car with the 98ger fuel permanently had about 0.7 liters more consumption. However, the engine noises became slightly quieter, somehow more pleasant. the “higher” fuel actually consumes more??? Then you are almost twice punished.

Diesel-Benzine mixture
I have about 60 liters of diesel gasoline mixture (wrong stuffed) and want to use this for a motorcycle. 1. How can I fix whether it is mainly petrol or diesel? I have no diesel for comparison. 2.If it is petrol diesel – can I then use it as a mixture? Without additional usual oil? 3. With diesel gasoline – can you do something with it? Thank you!

Trabold filter-Never change more oil
Never change oil again, it works. The car and oil industry wants to earn money on the sale of expensive oil and does not want this filter. It’s logical, but we consumers are stupid enough to believe the fog of the necessary oil change themselves. You already have the breast milk.

What and how often refuelling (petrol)?
Hello, I used the search and found this thread Quote: Durability of petrol in fuel tankhttps://www.motor-talk.de/…/…n-im-fuel tank-t4695119.html?… After reading I’m less smart than before. The answers range from 6 months of durability to 19 years, at some point the OT came and from page 5 the first disputes How do I have to fill up my natural gas car when it consumes almost 0 gasoline. (Ergo the petrol only stands in the tank) In the end, it is only for the start-up processes and therefore hardly in the cost-wise sense of the word. Can I fill the petrol tank with a calm conscience or is it always recommended to keep the tank only over reserve, but to refill it more often fresh petrol? It’s about a Punto 188

[Shell SmartPay] No bill/no charge
Has anyone ever had experience with it that everything went smoothly on the tank, so no error message in the app, the pump switches to 0 after the end of the tanking, so everything runs normal and then neither a receipt nor is anything billed/booked via PP? O.

Kaminethanol suitable?
I would be less disturbed by the 96,something% than the fact that kaminethanol burns with yellowish flame. alcohol/spiritus burns rather blue. that’s why I wonder what the ‘stir in’ for the beautiful yellow flame? one of the chemists here? not that I’m more upset with the motor than this bad petrol-plörre at meienr e85-tanke (one remembers the thread with the deposits around the intake valves) that’s the only thing that prevents me from placing an ebc at the moment.

How much petrol can I take from the Czech Republic to Germany in the reserve canister?
Since the fuel prices in Germany are rising, it is worth it for me to refuel abroad. Therefore, the question of how much petrol I can take with me in reserve canisters across the border to Germany, or up to which quantities the customs still closes an eye or there are only small penalties. As a standard answer I have heard 20l. However, on the customs side it says that only 10l are allowed. Again others write that you only have to pay the taxes up to 60l (if you are caught). It would be worth taking 60l in canisters.

Does synthetic caft materials emit particulate matter and nitrogen oxides?
Are synthetic cafts emitting fine dust and nitrogen oxides? There are a lot of different things about it. At the Federal Office it says “very much less CO2 and almost no fine dust or nitrogen oxide emitting.”https://www.bmbf.de/en/synthetic-fuel-5040.html And here it says “The exhaust gases contain about 50 percent less nitrogen oxides.”https://utopia.de/…/
