  • VCDS – OBDeleven for used car purchase – Legally permitted?

Hello, a buddy of mine would like to buy a used Volkswagen Golf 8 soon. He asked me to come with him because I own VCDS and OBDEleven. I should check the vehicle for him. My question to you would be now, is it legally allowed to connect to a vehicle this diagnostic device? The vehicle belongs theoretically to the seller. Do I have to inform him about it? And what do I do if he does the verification g denied by the diagnostic device?

  • Tester/diagnosis device

Moin My acquaintance needs a new diagnostic device. His current is just old and from former workshop needs. Now the question is whether to buy and install various programs via laptop and then just a diagnostic device? It should of course be for all brands and for things like brakes can put in “service position” etc. A new laptop would have to anyway for parts order, bill print etc. But it probably becomes more expensive if you put the matching plugs and S I’ve been looking for a bit and found a device like this:https://www.amazon.de/dp/B00NID586M/ref=emc_b_5_t I don’t know what he wants to spend about now. As little as possible but just. The whole has to be relatively simple. Since he doesn’t want to play around in the workshop forever. Do you have an idea what to recommend? mfg

  • Error memory not possible / no access to motor control unit

Hello together! I just picked up my sweetheart from the service at a seat contract workshop and there they told me that they had no access to some ECUs, such as the engine control unit. Thus, for example, the service interval cannot be reset via the tester and there can also be problems with the TÜV, since exhaust-relevant errors cannot be read out. I was of course baff.. The master told me that it could be on the instrument cluster, And according to him it is also 99%. Reason for this was that it already has a mistake anyway: the turn signal control on the right does not work sporadically. I would like to have the AI replaced now without knowing for sure that it is. Vehicle data: Leon 1P FR Facelift Year of manufacture 11/2010 Motor 2.0 TDI CR 125 KW Gearbox DSG KM-Stand 107.000 km Has anyone had experience with the problem or maybe even knows what it is? Thank you in advance!

  • Composition Media for Composition Touch replaced after defect, now no PDC display more VCDS

Dear community, I hope someone can help me. I have two VW Caddy 4. Both built in 2016. Let’s call them simply Caddy 1 and Caddy 2. Caddy 1 has original built a Composition Media (5K7035200D), Caddy 2 a Composition Touch (1K8035150D). Unfortunately, the Composition Media of Caddy 1 is defective. I had to swap, identical replacement was not to be procured at fair prices (> 500 EUR), so I bought a Composition Touch (1K8035150D) for 130 EUR, built in and at friendly for 50 EUR unlocked (component protection removed). I bought the Composition Touch, because VW installed it in exactly self-equipment yes in the Caddy. I now even have a Caddy with this radio. The radio works in Caddy 1 now fundamentally also. Radio, Bluetooth, everything in order. I had to have the two rear speakers activated via VCDS, because in the dispenser vehicle (T6) only 4 were coded and also this worked. However, the display of the The distance between the PDC sensors at the rear (no one is installed in the front) used to be with the Composition Media, but it was also possible in Caddy 1 and Caddy 2 with the Composition Touch, which is now also in Caddy 1, too. Caddy 2 has exactly the same radio with its own part number and both have PDC at the rear, but the radio no longer shows PDC display when driving backwards. If you set the reverse gear, only the display for input is locked and the piper gives acoustic (pas send) signals. To do this, the loudness is lowered. Automatically with inserting the reverse gear. And now you’re sure to think immediately: Does he just have to encode the type? What’s the problem? The problem is that I already had it encoded. (picture attached) The appropriate setting is already activated. Further meaningful codings are not to be found. The coding looks identical. We’ve gone through everything. We even once have the entire encoding of the infotaiment of Ca ddy2 copied to Caddy1. The parking distanceassi coding was the same before. What could that be? What could we have forgotten?

  • Steering aid Error code

Hello, After disconnecting the batt. at my Golf V, the error lamps steering aid and ESP lit up in the instrument board. I set up a Ross-Tech hex usb with VGACom 4019 and informed myself. After reading the ECU overview the following picture: 3 error ECU 1K0 907 379K; ESP Front MK 60 error: steering angle sensor ECU 1K1 909 144 G; EPS_ZFLS Kl.0 error: 02546 – Steering Limit Stop 005 – No or Incorrect Basic Setting/Adoption error: steering angle sensor 00778 – Steering Angle Sensor (G85) 000 — Errors cannot be deleted. After the “easily” of the steering angle sensor, the ESP warning has disappeared (in the instrument board) (thanks to all those who have documented the procedure in the net) The problem remains with the steering aid; Error 02546 – Steering Limit Stop 005 – No or Incorrect Basic Setting/Adaption Question: What can I do? Regardless of this, I did not find out with the interface and VAG-Com 4019 with the comfort control unit 1K0 959 433 BK ko The program hangs up! What can I do? Nice greetings a golf 5 riders

  • Codierinterface Skoda Superb MJ18

Hello, I’m looking for a coding interface for my Skoda Superb 3, but also other VAG vehicles. A buddy has a VCDS HEX+CAN, but he now lives quite far away and the old VCDS is apparently no longer fully compatible with the newer vehicles. There are also two more newer VAG vehicles in the family. I am currently thinking about different codings and also to get my own interface to read out errors. The question is now we lches: OBD11: Although it is cheap, since I no longer have an Android device, a tablet would have to be purchased in addition to the interface, so that there will be additional costs again. VCDS: With the software I have already worked with the interface from the buddy, but the limitation to 3 vehicles is probably too small for me and thus the HEXCAN V2 is quite expensive. VCP: I don’t know about the operation, I only found contributions from a few years ago, where the bad labeling etc. was noted. Otherwise it is price absolutely ok (at the order from Poland). What does it look like with the current software? Is the operation reasonably suitable for beginners with certain knowledge? I looked into the manual once, that looks quite similar to VCDS. Has someone ordered from obd2.pl and can report what about the procedure and shipping costs? Greetings, Matze

  • VCDS access code for 19-diagnose-face

Hello everyone, someone may be able to help me and tell me where I have an access code for my: ” Address 19: Diagnosis interface (J533) Label file:. • Can-Bus

Hello, I try it here in the forum: I had a Corsa D CTDI 90PS. Due to a water damage the engine control unit took water. It was changed. Now there is no communication on the CAN bus. The bus runs from the OBD plug to the instrument cluster, the ABS control unit and the MSG. If I pull off the last two control units, then the bus runs or lacks the final resistance? I have to somehow meet the cause, so I always wanted to clamp a control unit more , until the bus collapses again. The bus lines themselves have 0 ohms and no ground closure (from the OBD plug to the, MSG).

  • Leg hold measurement blocks also a unit or only analog value and the unit from the OBDSoftware

A control unit does not only have bytes and bits (long coding) or adaptation, but also measurement blocks, which can be read out. If the measured value blocks also hold a unit or is only the analog value? For example, is 816 rpm read or only the analog value 816 and by experience/programming the readout software knows, that is U/min? If it is the latter, this means that the readout software can contain unit errors and can therefore specify e.g. instead of U/min U/sec e, or in the case of the ash content in the DPF, is the unit litre next to the measured value, although it would actually be grams?

  • Audi A6 4F diagnostic device

Hello, I’m looking for a reliable and inexpensive way to read and delete errors myself. Which system is as cheap and functional as possible? My vehicle is an A6 2.0 TFSI Bj 2008 I don’t want / have to program anything. It’s just about deleting errors of the motor electronics that come sporadically through the gas system. I would also like to read which sensor is defective with the PDC. VCDS is too expensive for occasional use. With Ebay there are cheap adapters, but they don’t look trustworthy. Is there any one that works? Then I have read from Car Port Pro. But I’m not quite clear what it costs in the end and whether it’s better than ODBeleven. Then there are ODBeleven, which is my favourite at the moment. I would have liked to have had it cheaper but it doesn’t help. What I didn’t quite understand is when and what you need additional credits for. Greeting Martin
