  • Learn Keys with VCDS

Hi, I ordered a new key a few days ago. Today I let the blank eat and then wanted to learn the key. I did exactly that: Turn on ignition with a second key – mechanically lock the vehicle from the outside and keep the key pressed on the FFB – unlock again and turn off ignition -> FFB should work Now I can start my car with the new key but the immobilizer flashes on. And by radio I can also n can I learn the immobilizer with VCDS on my key? And how do I get my remote control to work? I am aware that the topic has been chewed through many times, but I haven’t found anything suitable yet. Best regards Jan

  • Which universal software besides VCDS?

Hello, I have been using VCDS for several years now and am super satisfied with operation, coding and scope. But now it is the case that I would like to have a multi-brand device to be able to read out other vehicles too, to make service reset and also to drive actuators and to make “easy” codings on the vehicle. I know that there is no egg-laying wool milk sow, but well-usable devices. are? Like an installable story next to VCDS on my Windows device, if a standalone device better mastered the purpose, I would possibly also get such a one. Important would be Mercedes, BMW, Opel, but also all the others… Have already read a lot of Autel, Launch, as well as ScanDoc and Autoaid, however, the advice is usually miserable with all, especially since as a hearing impaired person I am dependent on emails and cannot use a telephone consultation. has me multi-brand devices, which are well usable and can do some, I would be happy about experiences. Thanks for the help

  • VAG Group informs: Protection of vehicle diagnostics (SFD) starting from 1st HJ 2020 starting with Golf VIII

The VAG Group informs on its “ERWIN” portal that the introduction of the SFD with the introduction of the Golf VIII will be introduced in the 1st HJ 2020 and sukessize will be extended to all models. As a result, certain ECUs can no longer be coded (by means of the 5-digit log number) and addressed, since they are locked from home. This is then only possible via a dealer/service logon by means of generated software tokens (secured and tunneled connection, PassThru). s will also greatly restrict the coding possibilities of VCP and VCDS. It is therefore necessary to activate the SFD-IT. However, read and delete error memory is not affected by this. In the annex the info of VW.

  • OBDEleven and unknown channels, OBDEleven while driving

Hello, I have OBDeleven, as a Pro version. Car is a Skoda Superb 2 MJ12, 170hp diesel. I would like to achieve that my heater (Webasto VEVO, installed ex factory) does not work as often as a heater. I would like to have the heater work only at the push of a button. Switching off the heating function only works with the petrol engine, not with the diesel engine. In addition, I would like to control the heater after engine start. Unfortunately, there is no official Mögli I found in the net infos that the SH from 5°C no longer turns on as a heater. Some other SH control units have defined this in a custom channel. With my SH the number “5” is in the channel 20. So could fit. However, there is no description of the channel. 1) What could happen if I change the adaptation channel 20 from 5 to something else in the SH control unit (STG 18)? Can something get broken? Can I then return to 5 and Everything is like before? 2) Same question, but for other channels, not STG 18 related. Can you put a channel to something else, test it, then back again and you have the original state? At least I know of the byte 18 problem of the light setting, which you must not change, otherwise the light setting is in the bucket. 3) Is it safe to infect OBDEleven during the ride and control the live values (from the passenger)? Can OBDEleven get a little confused, so something pas What would not have happened without an adapter? I would like to check whether the SH starts at 5° or not and what happens if mentioned channel 20 is changed from 5 to 20, or on -10 or even -20. To do so, the adapter would be connected to STG 18 while driving. 4) Same question, but for other ECUs. Can you connect to any ECU and view the live values without anything happening? If I connect myself to the brake control unit in stand-alone condition The ESP lamp appears in the instrument cluster to go out again when the connection is disconnected. Is it safe to connect to the brake control unit, for example?

  • Uberfix diagnostic device new

Hello municipality. I have read now about this new reader, made by 2 Munich mechanical engineering students. It is to cost only 75Euro and be operated with a free app on the mobile phone. The 2 want to offer the car owners a relatively cost-effective device for self-diagnosis, so that people do not have to be dragged so often by the workshops over the table-ways of any repairs, which often do not have to be at all and only overfill the bags of the friendly ones. basically a good invention! But who already owns this device and does it do what? And what can you query everything (resetting service interval, reading errors, etc……)?

  • VW Crafter 2.5 TDI / Power loss when incandescent turntable flashes

Hello, I have a serious problem with my 2006 crafter installed is a BJJ engine 2.5 TDI with 65kw/88PS KM standknapp 190 tKm. the following problem: Sporadic error: Incandescent light flashes (only on the highway) from 2500 rpm approx. 110 to 120 km/h. If you flash I have only about 50% of the power usually flashes then also the engine control light which then usually also stays on. Well a restart of the engine goes again, sometimes you can also drive 200 km without what is, some things go ke ine 10km… After several visits at Boschdienst with error search and memory erasure we changed following parts: charging pressure control valve, all glow plugs, lambda probe, pressure valve from the comonrail, air quantity meter… When reading the error the lambda probe was displayed = changed, then displayed charging pressure error = charge pressure control valve was exchanged, then one of the problems at the touran told me, glow plugs and air quantity meter = changed…. slowly I dedate d I put hundreds of Euros in it and the error is still there !!! I really don’t know what to do anymore! I hope very much here one can help me who has correctly guessed about it. Currently the error 339 ( Lambda probe resistance too high bank 1 ) cannot be deleted. Unfortunately, the Bosch service has no access to the manufacturer-specific errors in the memory…

  • Problems with old engine testers Opel Tech80 or SUN mCS2000 SL

Hello together I have an old engine tester at home that I have already been standing there for a few years without a function. I had already opened a post about it where I was looking for floppy disks. After a long time I thought now I’m going to the problem again because I still find it too bad to dispose of such an oldtimer jewelry stücjk. The original problem was that the tester could no longer load an operating system with the error message “BOOT DRIVE 0 FAILED ERROR 87” The after various forum contributions I could identify as a defective floppy drive so I kept looking for a drive and then found a cheap used one in the bay. Then he didn’t show this error anymore but another FAILED ERTROR number which I don’t know anymore so thought ioch ok the floppy disks are scrapped, which I don’t know exactly. So I got a sd floppy emulator and a set Systemd diskettes, AU diskettes and target data diskettes as image get this you find in the internet if you are looking for fat vette, many thanks for this. So again connected to the tester emulator and system diskette loaded and see as it runs, but then the disillusionment. After the system was loaded he demanded after the AU-II LEG diskette this also as image. So inserted on further pressed it also shows me that the diskette is recognized and then the errormeldun appears g “INTERRUPT 01” without that I can press anything. I hope here are a few specialists who are still familiar with these testers or had the same problem. Maybe someone knows if it is a hardware problem or maybe not compatible floppy disks? Now to my questions I have some original floppy disks that I would like to read on the PC and bring the SD card as image file afuf, but have read now that the normal USB floppy laof works the 720K B diskettes can’t read because maybe someone knows an alternative? thank you so much for the answers and your help greeting Boris

  • VW SIMOS AGG OBD connection

Hello, I have redeemed my bulli from a 1.6TD (due to piston-eater) and now equipped with an AGG-motor (1996). The mechanical conversion has been completed for some time. The electrical system has been converted and installed in tiring work. I have had the immobilizer programmed by a professional. I now have the problem that the engine does not ignite. After several measurements of the wiring, I am sure that everything is fine. Sensorik I have also exchanged Now only the reading of the control unit helps me to get the reason for the cause. Unfortunately, there was no OBD interface on the dispenser motor. Unfortunately, I find nothing in the documentation of the control unit available to me. – Question 1: Which pins (on Simos) are for the OBD interface (K-line, etc.)? – Question 2: Is the OBD connector assignment so correct : PIN 4: Mass Chassi PIN 5: Mass signal PIN 7: K-line PIN 15: L-line (doesn’t I think?) PIN 16: Battery + – Question 3: Do the immobilizer cables (SIMOS PINs 11 and 43) still have to be connected? And if so, where, how? [/list] I would like to thank you for the help and tips that could help me in my desperate situation.
