  • Which diagnostic program for the 4f?

Hello, my old VAG-COM 3.11 in conjunction with a cheap adapter doesn’t work any more like my 4f. With its predecessor 4b gnig that’s still perfect. It will probably be because the 4f in contrast to the 4b has a CAN bus. Which diagnostic soft and hardware is in your opinion most useful for the hobby screwdriver, to read out a mistake, to solve the parking brake or to switch off the doofen belt alarm. I thought of this here: http://store.ro ss-tech.com/shop/VCuCAN.html Unfortunately, the 4f is not in the list. I’m open for any idea! Thanks in advance! C@rsten

  • VAG COM 311.2 goes and 409.1 cannot

Hello, I’m new here and I’ve got the same thing as usual? A problem Well, it’s not very interesting to know. I bought an interface from ebay and downloaded from ross-tech demoversions from VAG-COM. One time v. 311.2 and one time v 409.1 Have a notebook with serial port. Have both versions installed and found that it runs with V 311.2 without problems, and with V. 409.1 the program reports that the interface is not available. And what is the difference between the two versions? Is 409.1 perhaps a bit more comfortable than 311.2? Well, on the notebook, Windows XP SP2 is on it and most other (operating system only) Windows firewall is inactive. Thank you for your tips. Greeting Andreas

  • Golf 6 Codes not accepted

Hello, I have the following problem: I drive a Golf 6 GTI and have borrowed from a friend his laptop with VCDS. I connected everything, then went into the coding assistants and wanted to encode some things with me (coming home / leaving home, etc.). I go to the straight bit and byte and make the hook, then go on close and then there is: “coding was accepted”. I thought cool everything was done right. I then finished VCDS, the Ignition turned off and the plug pulled off. When I turned everything on again after 5 min, the car did not take over neither you function and when I went back into the power supply control unit, the hooks there were no longer there, which I put before. I then tried it more often but always the codings were accepted and when I looked in again they were not activated. I hope someone can help me Thanks

  • OBD newcomer with Audi A4 B5

Hi, so far I didn’t have much to do with OBD, except that I “read out” the Motronic and the ABS of my BMW motorcycle. My old Audi 80 B3 didn’t have so much trouble either. But now I have an Audi A4 B5 (1.8 petrol engine, year 1997 with FIS) and I probably have to deal with the topic as a screwdriver. I ask for your help, because I have already tortured the search function, but this has confused me more than helped me. First, I am looking for a possibility/device with which I am looking for the best solution. The whole thing is as cost-effective as I don’t want to use it professionally (thinking so < 100 Euro). An older NOtebook (Pentium I, Win 98) would be available. What do I want to do with it? What should the device/software be able to do? -Read out error codes -Reset inspection intervals What kind of OBD does the car have? I or II?

  • Collection order VAG-Com / VCDS and general questions

So, after I have denied my performance, I think about installing a Rosstech adapter with VAG-Com or VCDS. Official suppliers are: Auto-Intern GmbH – Deutsch! Full) version for the “Randmodelle” Are there any differences in the software (the adapter would have to be the same with all suppliers (?) ) The software would have to run for example PCI on Auto-Intern (is now simply indiscriminately written, is only about the principle) or? Are there other Pro & Contras???

  • DK Basic setting incorrect

In the last few days a few times the battery on my A3 1.8T (97) had to be disconnected. When I read out the error memory yesterday, an error appeared which was not there a few days ago; 17967 – throttle control unit (J338) Error in default P1559 -35-00– An adaptation is however not possible (I read that the error memory must be empty for this). However, the above error cannot be deleted, therefore no adaptation. I thought that the DK vll is blocked by dirt, but after cleaning nothing has changed (except that the idle is now at 1070upm). I don’t know how to solve it now.

  • Purchase advice diagnostic software + hardware

Hello guys, I would like to buy a diagnosis software. I will buy a small cheap netbook. Well, I don’t know what kind of cable and software I need. I want to do the following: -read errors (this should work for every brand, this OBD2 Bluetooth part owns, but unfortunately you can’t read all the errors) -code(it would suffice me if this only worked on VW/Audi) What is it like with speedometer change ? If you use the GTI Ta Is it possible to change the KM STand with a DIAgnose program? (This is NOT a must, ALSO ONLY WHEN KM ANALYSIS FUNCTION I WANT NOT A THIRD PRODUCT) That’s all I expect. Now it should be as little as possible because I just want to make it a hobby. I thank you very much.

  • Detection of a “tachometer adjustment” possible ?

Hello dear people, I have a problem with which only the “cracks” on this board can help me. I bought a Skoda Octavia 1, 1.9TDI, 110 hp, AVM engine. (I know here is VW board, but the technology is largely the same) Now the indexes are increasing for the fact that on the car possibly the tacho was manipulated. It is a leasing back runner, bought by a dealer, so that I can not ask any previous owner. For example, the inspection entries seem disturbing (ev tl after handover only one inspection carried out shortly before return at about 43Tsd km and one in between crystal clear). Since the total performance is stored by the manufacturer to ward off warranty fraud etc. yes in various ECUs and the few tacho adjusters are so professional to iron all this, I hope here on a few tips as I can draw the system pointing to the mileage. I know e.g. from Toyota that there with the workshop tester with certain n Errors also show the mileage. Is this also possible with Fzgen of the VW group ? Can I elicit from the on-board computer how often the “Service prompt” has already been reset? In which errors is the mileage displayed with? How do I cause such a mistake without further irreversible damage? Will now let the friendly one research the Fgst.-No. in the VAG system. I don’t know if this can be done for the Skoda yet. The possibilities for acceptance are varied in the meantime. Who else has an idea how to get to know the truth? Thank you in advance and greeting from Turbo (Happy Easter)

  • Determine rest current with star diagnosis ?

Hello colleagues, especially star diagnosticians and OBD experts, can someone help me or give me a hint ? I fear my S-Class needs a bit of power … Can you find the rest current with SD (or other OBD) ? And possibly also the power consumption while driving ? The following facts and FZ data: S 500 W 220 Built 2001 (PreMopf) with approx. 90 Tkm, purchased in January from 1. HD. All maintenance at Mercedes … With star diagnosis I read the following error: ECU ESP C1103-006 L 6/4 (rear right) adjustable wheel speed Current + saved C1112-001 One or more speed encoders have mutable values, wobble contact Saved Since I had tens of voltage errors in the various protocols during the first reading and I was allowed to read a few things about the importance of the voltage, I immediately donated a new battery to my car, the good 100 Ah Varta AGM – now just brand new. Many errors now did not occur and if I the car attached to my CTek, then it drives after a while completely error-free without an FM in AI or on SD / Xentry. After the 3rd or 4th drive (even if this is shorter then) comes again the error “BAS, ABS and ESP (each) workshop visit” I can have the sensor in the back right, no problem, but since I notice that my CTek after the few rides, even if these all take place on the same day, for a while again an almost empty Battery shows – with the new one ! – I guess there is a considerable current eater. Can then the voltage be responsible for the error messages ? After the charging they do not occur at first … If there is ONLY the sensor, then the always wrong messages should exist, especially with longer driving, but it then works if the charge of the battery is good. Only with further rides without new charging seems to spin again. To me that seems about s the battery sucks empty … Therefore the questions above … Who knows something about it ? Can I use Stardiagnosis (or other OBD) to determine the current consumption ? Thank you already for your advice ! Greetings Jo
