  • How to remove scratches in textured plastic?

Hello together, I’ve had an ugly scratch since yesterday, which I can’t get rid of with water and microfiber cloth or rub. See picture. (Sorry, it should actually be turned 180 degrees; the picture is on my head). What do you think, how I get the best away? By scratching the spot has already become something more shiny Hope, you can help me? Greetings Buddy

  • The seat covers are driving me crazy

Hello, I’ve decided again what Our Skoda Roomster came to us in 2009 as a new car. For the interior we decided for then for “Comfort Chic Onyx-Black”. And that was really “chic” … because the dark seat covers work like a lint brush. Actually, you can only sit in with ́ner leather jacket, everything else leaves any fluffs on the seat. Complicated in addition, that these fluffs can hardly be sucked off. With such a “brush nozzle”, with which I usually have quite a good success, you sit on it for hours. Even with such a sticky clothes brush it is hardly possible. The seat covers hold the fluffs and lint actually like a lint brush. I once tried to hold that on pictures. The seats are sucked off and processed with a footbrush! Does someone know such a thing? Or even better, does someone have a prescription against it? I actually think about whether there is something against dog hair or something similar that could help me cleaning the seats (we don ́t have any kind of anything like that).

  • Interior care instructions

Hi guys, I took my new car relatively dirty from the previous owner. I can get quite good at the dirt in the outdoor area thanks to the detailed FAQ, but there is still something stuck in the interior care. I have once enclosed a few photos of the biggest quirks and hope for a similar “guide” as you can get to the problems best. Since I found both in the forum and at google nothing helpful I turn here to the community. At my little ladle is pretty much everything to find, dirty foot mats, disgusting seats, gammlige entrances and door rubbers, smeared fittings, damage on the inside of the door, fuzzy center console, damaged chrome parts, bleached plastic parts… I hope for a similar good guide as in the FAQ, like with product recommendations. Now to my little waggle: Fiat Bravo 198 BJ: 2008 Given the condition of the interior I strongly expect that this car has hardly seen more than a vacuum cleaner.

  • Abrasion marks on the door panel.

Hello car care specialists, how can I get the stripes off the door inside? See picture. Thank you and greetings Andy

  • Car Seats – Fabric Sealing Useful/sensible or more pointless/damaging?

Hello! On the current occasion that I have bought a new car I would be interested in the question whether a so-called fabric sealing is useful or someone has already had experiences with it. The sufu did not give anything satisfactory, or I was simply too stupid to look for… Since the new sports seats I liked very much, and usable/suitable covers are much too expensive, I just thought about a kind of sealing. I would also like to treat the roof sky with it, because our little wild boars in the trunk quite often “shake” and so the dirt can fly quite well now in the autumn. I found among other things one of Nanotol, which, when the word “nano” completely hides out, listens/looks quite promisingly so far. Click Here still a video about the effect of the sealing. Click So if someone has already had experience with this, I would be very grateful about these.

  • Audi A6 4F – Leather seats discoloured by tyre transport

Hello, first of all, a warning to all those who didn’t know this yet: Does not transport tires on the leather seats or on the leathered back seat!!! I had to make this experience now. It also does not help if the tires are transported in this protective foil. The oils, the soot and any plasticizer diffuse through the foil and also discolor black leather. Perhaps a thick wool cover between tires and leather – or preferably put it in the trunk with it… But now to the actual question: Did someone already have such a case and can tell me how it went? I already had contact with the leather center. The leather is discoloured and this discoloration can be removed as easily as a tattoo! That can be fixed, but only by a specialist workshop. There is then a blocker applied to prevent the “black plague” from coming back from below. Then the surface will probably be recolored. Then would be nice, if someone knows with it and can report what the “reparatur” cost and if in the long term it still doesn’t matter to me to show the fact that it doesn’t matter brightly wears down.

  • Warning! ALDI Anti slip mat

Hi, unfortunately I had to find out this morning that the Anti-Slip Matte (Aldi) had not grown to the temperatures and the sun at the weekend. A part of the matte has melted and the liquid silicone on the amature board run down. Of course, the whole thing is an extremely sticky and disgusting matter. So a warning to all those who have this or similar products in the vehicle, the summer is just beginning! Does anyone have any idea with which means I might have a chance to remove the sticky stuff? Greet Tobias

  • Leather preparation stinks – how do you get rid of it?

Hello together, My used bought Audi A5 was prepared before delivery at Audi. Since then, the leather smells awfully of chemistry and I seem to be allergic to it, anyway, the air stays away when I sit in my dream car. Terrible! During the test drive, the car did not smell. Ventilation brought as little success as thorough wiping with water and/or rinsing. Do you have an idea what is being worked on and how to get it away again? Thank you & Greeting

  • Remove stains from seats and cigarette smell

Hello, yesterday I had some passengers in my Golf 6 with the bright seat covers: http://data.motor-talk.de/…/img-2227-58516.JPG Unfortunately there was a stain on the seat of about 5-7cm diameter. The edges are a bit black. Don’t know how and why it was created, let alone what should have gone out there. Either a little cola, rainwater from the clothes or clothes dyed by wetness. My Golf 4 with the dark seats has many white (also larger) spots on the seats through various liquids (NO, not THE liquid). How can you remove them best? Have found different methods: by means of steam cleaner, carpet cleaner, shaving foam… Second thing: My Golf 6 smells a bit of cigarette smell in the interior. No idea if the previous owner smoked, the building of the VW knuckle in any case smelled strongly after cigarettes. Could be that the smell has settled in the vehicle. What does it help against it?
