Moin Together, I took over an old Italjet Velocifero 50. I already had to deal with various problems like cable breaks, leaky tank, petrol tap etc. Unfortunately the scooter also did not run reasonably, which is why I suspected side air. I have now completely disassembled the engine on the table and new seals are ordered. When removing from the engine block I noticed a spot on the engine block which worries me. At the crankcase in the aluminium casting is a crack or material error The crankshaft sealing rings also looked old, so I can’t say whether air can come through the crack. Has someone had something like that? That looks like a production error, I would say. I would like to “flick” that somehow for safety. What is best for your experience? I have such “liquid weld” at home from such a granule and glue. Or motor sealant? Or there are also so 2K metal adhesives. r. A new engine block is not so easy to find on the one hand and on the other hand also somehow too expensive for the purpose. Other question: I saw in a video that the engine halves were sealed with sealant. Original was now a paper seal. Should I stay with the original or is the sealant the better modern solution? Or both together? Thank you in advance. LG Julian

Roller 50ccm Start problems
Moin, my scooter has the problem of the starter always turns forever until then the battery is empty. In between he has some short start attempts, but as soon as he is at the power with the charger, he starts after a short time and then runs great. (Zündkerze is new / battery is new and carburettor cleaned)

Peugeot elyso 125 battery incorrectly bridged
Hello, I switched over when I bridged the battery with the starter cable plus and minus. Backups are complete. The control lights don’t turn on when the ignition is switched on – scooter doesn’t start either. Could the CDI be defective too? Thank you. Greetings Oli

Aprilia SR50 Motard cold start valve / eChoke
Hi, I’m looking for a cold start valve from the accessory market for an Aprilia Roller SR50 Motard METCA41 from 2018. Somehow I won’t really find it, at least I’m unsure. Carburetor is a Dellorto PHVA 17.5 and the cold star valve has the square plug. Can I just take any one out of the net or is there no 100% matching from the accessory at all? Thank you for your information.

sym roller carburetor
I got a little bit down SYM scooter totally cheap. It’s about a Jet 4 as 4 timer. I tried to get into, nothing. Carburettor dismantled, but that was so rotted, only garbage. I ordered a new one and built in. As far as everything is good. Once starter press, runs. First a little high-touring, then normal. If I gas, it swallows, but stays on. If the engine is a little warm, it always takes better gas, not optimal but turns higher. The problem, it squirts sc And that would be the problem where I don’t know what I can do. Spark plug is new.

Roller tires, what’s your opinion?
Last spring, I bought a Honda Bali scooter (50ccm, built in 1995) cheaply. When I bought it, I already saw that the tyres went down badly, but still hit me at the cheap purchase price. The rest of the scooter is in good condition. I am a pure nice weather driver, so drive only if there is no rain guaranteed. That’s why I drove around with the bad tyres all the time last year. The tires are 13 years old by the way… I’ve already asked workshops, but they said it costs about 200€ (tires + assembly), and it could be more expensive if old screws break off or something like that. The question is, would you invest that again with such an old scooter? Would you do it or would you continue driving like that for another 1-2 years?

Electric scooter throttle defect
Hello, My scooter (Kreidler galactica) is throttled to 45 km/h. However, the throttle is not really functional for a few weeks now that it starts to throttle at c.a. 41 km/h and then partly throttled down to 35 km/h. I thought that this is the cdi and bought me a new one. When I installed this I got a spark of ignition but this was so weak that the scooter did not jump on. Once it is on however, he ran very restless and went out again. Does anyone perhaps know which throttle it is and how I can renew it? Since one can currently only very laboriously drive with the scooter because he always slows down I am very grateful for any help. Lg Henry
