Hello together, I want to get a moped or a moped, which I want to use for short distances in everyday life. I often travel in the village during the week. Good evening, I have the following problem with my Piaagio TPH C48 50 ccm. Since this morning my scooter does not accelerate as usual. The following has to be mentioned, my scooter was only throttled, everything else remained in serial condition. Until yesterday he reached the max. speed of 65 km/h at 8000 rpm. This morning, he came with trouble and distress, at 45-50 km/h at 7200-7500 rpm. By the way, one hears a metallic side noise from the Variomatics. (The Variomatics, as well as the e fixing screw has already been checked, it doesn’t seem to be there). Add to it that you do not hear this noise in the stationary gas, also noticeable that in the stationary gas the rear wheel no longer rotates. (In the mounted condition). In the last four days, always at the start of the engine in cold condition, a squeaking noise was to be heard briefly, for about a minute. Can someone help me further. The total running power is just 8300 km.

Good evening I bought me a 2011 DJ50S with roughly 2000km. Had a Peugeot Ludix 2005 before. The problem with Kymco is now that the dear previous owners were probably too lazy or too stupid to care for the scooter. Freshly bought and as noted during the test drive he drives only about 43-44km/h according to Tacho and has no pass. Right at the beginning when you give full throttle he loses after 1-2seconds the already weak performance and then drives without noticeable dropouts. And the rear wheel turns first oil checks and notices that there is nothing in it. So oil drained and as mentioned max 200ml pitch black liquid. New oil is tipped in, new spark plug is installed and an open sleeve is installed in the Vario. Carburettor is removed coarsely cleaned with washing spirit and a toothbrush. Reassembled, mixing screw turned out 2 revolutions and stationary gas so that nothing turns. Now it starts immediately, but goes out again in the stand. After c a 15sec drive, it also remains in the state. ( Maybe not the Choke properly installed again? ) The power loss at the beginning still exists and it moves with ach and noise at almost 60km/h according to Tacho. Performance improvement at the beginning only minimal (or placebo effect). Also my gas train is the first cm loose, how can I do exactly what? What now ? Are the Kymco scooters the so sluggish ? Why the power loss? Did not look at the carburettor needle. Symptoms for wrong setting of the needle ? Does the so much influence on the mentioned problems ? MfG

Evening on the other hand, I have to buy a scooter before spring. I’ve never driven scooters before and know me 0.0. I have the normal car driver’s license, so I can drive 50s(?), that’s enough for me. Now the question is, what are good scooters and in which price segment they move. I would use the scooter to come to university every day, that’s city traffic, maybe 10km back and forth. Then what more for monthly costs expect me (KFZ et C.)? Greetings Robin

Hi there, I have a question what would be best. I need a vehicle which brings me from A to B and is safe to drive in winter. The track every day is not far but curvy and especially in winter with ice, I have my concerns with a scooter, even with winter tires. I was told however that a quad is not much safer in that case, and a car would really only be an option if it is not possible otherwise. Financially I would be for a scooter. How safe, resp. uncertain is What do you have to pay attention to when buying a scooter? What is the lifespan of a scooter? Servus, have installed my scooter (2T NRG Power DT air cooling) a new Lima, Simmeringe and a new CDI today, because it always started me when driving over ground waves. At the end of the day he had “slips” again and again at full gas. So far it seems to work now. Was then after the installation a bit difficult to get in, but finally it worked.
