Hello friends, I bought my son an Aprilia Ralley 50, I thought that was a good choice because of the engine. According to the seller the scooter should run so 65-70, but is not a problem, he only took out the Varioring, packed 7gram weights in and removed the throttle from the exhaust manifold. Since the scooter did not come out of the feet at all, I first made 5.4gram weights in the front and experimented with the springs at the rear, then I am now at the red train and test drive: Roller runs 70, without problems, well, then new exhaust on it, this time with the throttle in the dumpster, test drive… Roller doesn’t really come from the spot again, but after 5 meters it pulls off up to 70km/h. Shit, so Varioring in, that’s about 3mm wide, test drive… 70km/h. That would have to be slower already because of the exhaust? I really don’t know what I can do now, d the only thing I noticed, the seller has built in a new clutch, because the old coverings were down, in there is now one with 3 springs, the worn out had however only 2. If I now go down to 4,8grams, I think he should start better again, but he must also be slow. Greeting Niklas1011

The final opponent of all problem scooters?! [TPH125]
Our TPH 125 is still ruining my holiday here… In DE the scooter ran perfectly. Then I released the battery, drained petrol (by vacuum the tank run empty), drained oil (tank dismantled and turned upside down) and transported the scooter lying in the car about 30h to Spain. Here arrived battery connected, petrol and oil filled up – start attempt: NIX! Starter turns and turns… but the box does not start. Low pressure gasoline tap works. Airfil ter is new. Zündfunke and a new candle are here. Candle is wet, so mixture should arrive. So far made: membrane block removed. Was OK. I cleaned it anyway. Built-in. No success. Intake nozzle was slightly cracked. I glued it completely. No success. Gasifier removed. No nozzles & mechanics completely running. Cleaned, built-in. No success. E-choke connected. No success. E-choke completed. No success. Ignition plug: Electrode distance reduced / enlarged. No success. Suspect 1: Crankcase ventilation clogged. Hose removed. No success. I discovered – and that was new to me – that the TPH has a second tank, right under the footboard & on the leg sign. In addition, various pipes and T-pieces to a kind of vacuum pump. Can someone explain their function to me? Bzw. which hose in the system serves for what? Not that something filled with petrol during lying transport what the “breath” or the pressure compensation (crankcases) Aeration) of the engine is hindered. Suspect 2: Oil warning switch. When starting / trying to start, the oil lamp lights up in the speedometer. Is this normal? Can an oil (pressure) switch or the oil pump be defective so that it does not start, OBWOHL has sparks of ignition? Suspect 3: Ignition time. Can it adjust? How can I check this? Do you have any other ideas?

Which used scooter as a third-party vehicle?
Hello together, I am mainly a railway driver, use my car rather on private trips and otherwise like to ride a motorcycle. Now I would like to buy a used scooter for the city as a third vehicle, possibly also for a somewhat extended area of use. However, with the variety of the offered models it is difficult for me to choose. My considerations are: – Not too expensive (max. 600 – 800 EUR) – Max. 125 cm3, possibly also 50 cm3 – Wendig and not too large – 2 seats – Storage space or luggage racks – Easy to repair, robust technology – Precise appearance (Not absolutely beautiful in shape, but no “sporty” youth scooter, not an all-world model) – No Chinese factory I would be very happy about a few recommendations!

Used scooter from the dealer turns out to be an accident vehicle
Hello. Something incredible happened to me. I bought a used scooter almost a year ago at a car workshop with scooter sales for 750€. The scooter had a good 1500km down and looked visually new. According to the dealer he was driven little and is in top condition. I immediately noticed that the original mirrors (as seen on the manufacturer’s side) are not mounted. So, 2 days ago I met a friend of my buddy who happened to be my scooter in the garage saw. This friend lives about 10km away from me. He could immediately tell me the model and brand (Luxxon YX9) from 15m distance. He also asked me if I bought the scooter used and even had a guess with whom. This was true even. He told me that he was involved in an accident about 17 months ago, in which this scooter plays a role. My scooter belonged to his buddy at that time. The two are with their scooters side by side against each other dangers, whereby on my scooter the fork was totally bent and the mirrors were broken. Besides, the scooter should have been totally warped. Furthermore, further damage, which I do not know. Hadn’t the dealer had to tell me this accident? dear greetings

Speedjet R 5 years old and doesn’t want to be right
Day Got here a Speedjet R with only 400km mileage but just from 2011, he ran the last time in October 2016. I got the box on, first the likes of sow what lay down, then my boy had them and wanted to go off in the morning, he did not get them, neither over kicksstarter and also not over electric start. At some point everything went again and then the always choked off, I now dismantled the disguise so that you can get well. It is a spark to see with which Ki ckstarter he jumped on so, now I charge the battery first and then tomorrow see what goes on, maybe then disassemble carburetor etc. Evt is also not right with the spraying. I change the petrol filter once, though nothing has gone through, but it has stood for 5 years. 3 liters of new petrol I had also refueled and driven a few kilometers, everything was top, but then nothing went on again. You really don’t know how to proceed there. Spark plug is a BPR7HS inside and the smell n Oh, he’s turning out to fuel, too.

Too much 2 measure oil in the tank? Roller no longer starts
Hello I drive a Piaggio ZIP 2 50ccm as 2 clocks from 2015. The scooter was standing for a few weeks. Yesterday I still had some 2 clocks of oil for my scooter. The one I usually use (no old, always stored it in my car). I wanted to get rid of the bottle, so I filled the oil tank and added a small shot (100ml) to the full tank so that the bottle was empty. Today I wanted to drive with the scooter: is immediately started, he ran perfectly. But I didn’t get far, because he sometimes took no gas on the approx. 200-300m. Then came up to the tank and refueled 2L of fresh fuel. Roller ran relatively weak in the stand. As soon as you gave gas, he went out. At some point he didn’t even run in the stand. So pushed home. Spark plug out, looked normal, but there was no spark. With my old Honda SFX 50 there was a screw on the carburetor where you Is there something like that with ZIP 2? I think the scooter is really built up. The service flap doesn’t bring much. I am grateful for every advice.

Honda Pantheon FES 125 year 2005, gas acceptance problems
Hello to the forum, I bought myself yesterday from first hand a Honda Pantheon FES 125 from the year 2005 with just 1000 kilometers on the speedometer. On the way home from the Westerwald back to Saarland, it was about 260 kilometers, I noticed at full throttle, that the scooter on the last possible position of the gas grip does not take the gas anymore, but makes it completely. It feels and sounds like the fuel is going out if you know what I mean. As if a Dro If I go back a few millimeters with the gas grip, it accelerates again perfectly. Otherwise the scooter runs really well and I could not make out any further defects. Well, maybe a little grinding while braking. Could the brake pads be glazed due to the age, it is almost 9 years? I hope here are a few experts who can help me there. Greeting Erik

Install the battery disconnector
Hello together, for some time now I have found that my Peugeot Speedfight 3 is slowly discharging the battery itself. One week of service life and it is not enough to start. Test-wise I have now always pulled the fuse during the last weeks, since then I have no problems and the scooter keeps its battery charge. Even after several weeks it starts completely without problems. Now it is so that the scooter due to its condition, its Al For me it is no more than a cheap means of transport in everyday life. It is also not really spared, and large investments in it should be avoided as much as possible. For everything else I have a car, and that is enough for me. Therefore I don’t want to spend hundreds of euros so that the workshop enters the in this case complex troubleshooting through the many meters of cables, but simply and simply a n Toggle switches at the place where the fuse is. So much for the situation, now my question: – How many A does the switch have to withstand? Is there also the current running directly above which leads to the starter? Because before the fuse the thicker cable already detachs from the batt. because I only need to know this because if the current to the starter through this switch needs something much more massive. The “current eater” is clearly in the area covered by the fuse, which is why a Switch here would be enough.
