  • Maxsym 400i experiences

Hello scooter friends. I bought the SYM 400i in the middle of April because I had to/wanted to stop motorcycling, but still want to be two-wheeled. The scooter stand with 0 km. and without first registration at the dealer and cost only irresistible 4990€. He rides amazingly tight suspension, and you can drive ordenlich brisk curves without swinging. Unfortunately I arrived at the first exit only 30Km. After a few km. He stopped completely, and I had to The dealer picked him up the next day and found a defect ignition coil as a cause. Now he runs great again. If this was the only failure in the next 10 years, I would be satisfied. I have had two tanks so far, and the consumption was 3.65 and 3.45 liters. My Kymco People 50 4stroke also needs 3 liters, but only 60Kmh. I don’t think it’s nice to have one after a month and then every six months for inspection. That was yesterday so The only good thing about it was the rental scooter I got. A brand-new Aprilia SRV 850. Incredible driving performance with a delusional sound, and essentially better appealing spring elements. Only the wind/weather protection is worse. Now I hope that other Maxsym drivers will come forward to share experiences. I have the feeling that this model is not very common. Greeting

  • Maxsym 400i – Oil consumption – engine defective

Hello together, I bought a Maxsym 400i ABS scooter. This was first registered in 2016 and has 2800km of mileage. The year of construction is certainly older, because the purchase invoice says that it is a storage vehicle (older than 1 year). An inspection was made at 500km. I bought the scooter with engine damage! the last of three! Owners drove the scooter without oil. According to his statement the oil lamp went on. Now I wonder how it was after so little Ki The engine, just like the whole scooter, looks like new and it doesn’t leak. I think the engine has a “storage damage” due to the drying. The engine starts immediately and also has full power, but is a bit loud and makes noises when accelerating. I now drove over 350km with the scooter on the weekend and it is really fun to ride with it despite the side noises. I drove short up to 160km/h. After Kontr the oil level was now after 350km the measuring rod on half, which shows that the scooter consumes oil. Whether it had done that from the beginning could be yes, so that actually the engine was dry after 2300km. I got the instruction manual while buying, but no service booklet. There is certainly one to the scooter, right? Your opinion is important to me greetings from Rüdisym

  • SYM Fiddle III 50

Hello! I’m about to get a used SYM Fiddle III 50s version. I have a few questions for this: Do members have experience with the scooter here and can they tell me their opinion? How much km/h does it come about and does it have some suit? (I don’t expect a racing machine, that’s clear to me) The used scooter has flipped over and has a few scratches, which do not matter to me. However, the handlebar is slightly bent. Although it stands in forums, d if you just get it bent again, but I don’t trust it. Does anyone know how much that would cost at a workshop? That would be my questions for the beginning! Thank you very much for the answers! MfG, Laila

  • Rex Rs 450 jerks in stand and start

Hello dear community, I hope you can help me. I recently brought a Rex Rs 450 back to run after 2 years. Now it runs really ok, but when it gets warm the rear wheel jerks in the stand as well as when starting up… what’s that?? Besides, it jumps cold with the E-starter very hard, sometimes even when it is warm… I mean with jerking that he gives gas for a short while and lets go. The whole thing happens so quickly in a row that the whole scooter jerks. But if I Gas he takes it well and accelerates clean through without any problems. So only in stand and when starting up… Does the jerking come from the clutch, from the CDI, from the weights??? I have no idea! Please help me!

  • M&S tires yourself?

At the moment I am almost only on the road with my SYM Jet 50 euro x. In the last year still with my AGM gmx 450. On meim old scooter I had two tire sets one for winter and one for summer and thus never the problem tires to change. Can you do the problem without problems? I just want to do M&S because I will only be on the road in the city. Are there recommendations on the tires or simply buy what there is as an offer in the appropriate size? What would that be in the Does that make a normal car workshop? The roller shop around the corner meant that he can only do that with his “sold scooters” and SYM so and so not.

  • Power loss at full throttle

Hello together, please excuse me if something similar has already been asked, am new here and also new as scooter driver. I have since last September an Explorer Spin GE50 from 2007, which ran until the end of October and was then banished to the garage for wintering. At the beginning of April I got him out again, charged battery and he jumped immediately again. At the end of April it started, that he started to stutter but only briefly. Then last week he went under driving after violent coughing out I then asked myself and wanted to clean the carburettor. So starting with covering decommissioning for better access, then I saw that the carburettor was very dirty and that the suction nozzle after the carburettor was strongly porous and very oily. I looked at this because of spare parts and ordered a whole set at E-Bay (carburettor, suction nozzle, membrane with seal and air filter). My problem now is that the old carburettor has a carburettor preheating, so There are 2 cables on 2 pins and the new carburetor no longer has it (was not installed since 2010). I can still install the new carburetor and, if yes, what do I do with the 2 cables of the preheater. Sorry for the long text and thanks already in advance Greetz Rookie 76

  • Scooter with a pair of problems

Good day, My scooter unfortunately has some problems. In the morning he doesn’t really like to start at the first start, I have to kick 10-15 times until he comes. But that’s only if he is standing overnight. Otherwise he starts directly with e and kickstarter. The second problem is that he goes out if I don’t give off gas. It doesn’t matter whether he’s cold or warm. He does so well. Bissel loudly but runs. What I noticed is that the petrol filter after a few hours of standing time le He is. But when he kicks, he fills himself directly. I don’t know if it has to be that way. Previous owner says that he has had the Vergasser cleaned. I don’t have proof of this. I only had it for a week. KM Stand 5000 and Year of construction 2018 Thank you for your help.

  • Thread crankshaft broken.locker screw with screw fuse?

Hello guys, I have a problem with my MBK Ovetto. Unfortunately, the thread of the crankshaft is broken and there is probably not cut back. Otherwise, the scooter is actually good, but a new crankshaft would simply not be worth it any more during the working hours. However, I only get the old mother on it, because she somehow milled her way there. I think in the long run we will be too loose. I thought about it already to just screw-securing on it to mac I mean more than that the crankshaft can’t actually happen completely. So my question would be now if someone had a better idea than screw securing? Thank you and many greetings.

  • AGM Firejet 50 does not pull fuel

Hi guys, I just registered here, in the hope that you could help me. I’m in the end with my Latin So… I got his scooter from my neighbor, which didn’t sprung any more. He wanted to scrap it already. Here’s an overview of what I’ve already done. – Petrol tap new. – Tubes new. – Prefilter new. – Candle new. – Carburettor new. – Seals (cylinder head and foot, membrane) new. – Simmering new on both sides. – Alternator new. – Oil pump n eu. – Air filter housing new. – Compression 8 bar. The problem is, there is simply no fuel. If I kick, then you see the fuel in the pre-filter “whirl” but it doesn’t flow further. With the E nothing does. Only when I take off the air filter housing, hold my hand (before carburetor) and then kick, then the fuel comes. Do you have an idea?? I don’t have a clear idea what else I could do

  • No performance in warm condition

Hello guys , I have a problem with my Peugeot speedfight 2 50 ccm ac “again”. The 2 wheel mechanics in my area have only in October again time so I have to solve it myself somehow . My scooter runs no matter how long it is after the first attempt with the kickstarter and runs very calmly . Then he drives his 50/60 kmh on the straight or also up the mountain .Everything great until it gets warm . As soon as it gets warm he drives on the straight still 40 kmh and on the mountain he remains one fac h stand even if I drive up with momentum. I guess either the oil pump (mechanical) or it can be the gearbox? Or yet the drive. I am at the end with my knowledge about 2 wheels maybe someone has had the same problem here and also found the solution. I am grateful about every tip. Many greetings and a nice Sunday evening.
