Hello all, I got a ’96 Rex 50 2T from a friend. The scooter was 6 years old and I saw it as an opportunity to deal with it. I only screwed a car so far. So I read a lot, watched a lot of videos, changed battery, removed and cleaned carburetor, HD and ND cleaned, petrol filter renewed, air filter renewed. spark plug new. Gear oil also changed, but that’s by the way. 2T oil also refreshes. So, scooter starts again nice. If I think also quietly in idle for a 2Tacter. Until half-gas position it also runs well, then come to 35-40km/h. But as soon as I give more than half-gas the thrust is lost. Stutters not, but simply no acceleration at all, feels like idle and then I would just roll out. Then let go of the gas lever and return again until H This sounds like a fat mixture, doesn’t it? But I didn’t change anything about the screws on the carburettor. Air filter has also remained a standard model. Or false air, but wouldn’t it rather express itself by stuttering from half-gas? Can someone give me tips on how to proceed? I thought that too fat mixture could be either too much fuel or too little air. Could it be that the new carburettor could be too much air. Air filter leaves too little air? Could I just leave it out or does the carburetor have too much air anyway and only falsifies my further search? Thank you for your help.

Pull up or reuse tires several times?
I have the following problem or I have no idea about it. I get the Cygnus on Wednesday and want to drive it all year round. My idea was to get winter tyres for winter of course and summer tyres for summer. But it’s really good if I pull up the winter tyres for example now and drive them until the temperatures get too warm, then let summer tyres pull up and next winter I put on the same tires that I have used now. mlos or not? Or should I rather look for all-year tires like the Heidenkau K58 ?

Motor gets too hot
Good morning, My Gilera Nexus 125 becomes Heiss. Have renewed the thermostat, sensor as well as the water. Nevertheless, the engine goes up temperature, the water in the container runs over or glimmers. Had the engine run in the stand so the cooling system ventilated itself. Who knows advice?

Large metal chips in the engine interior of my scooter CPI Aragon 50 Paddock
Hello, my current exhaust of my CPI Aragon 50 paddock is also top in the air after 11 years, but when you shake it it properly rams inside. I guess once the inside of the exhaust is rusted away and there are loose metal parts in it. Is there any possibility that loose metal parts of the exhaust can get into the engine during the engine run? I took off the cylinder and displayed on the attached picture I can’t explain where the metal chips can come from, because in the engine interior everything is actually made of cast iron. My real guess is that it is a metal part of the membrane has not been confirmed either. Can it be that loose metal parts get into the combustion chamber from the exhaust? Or does someone have a tip where the metal comes from. Thank you in advance.

Hello, I’m just looking for a used scooter and I’m losing track of the newer brands from the East. I don’t want a bad China-cracker, but I don’t think everyone is the same. I’d be interested in what you can buy half-way without hesitation. I think you’re never wrong with a classic like Piaggio, Aprillia etc. and the Japanese are not bad too. It’s hard to find it at Peugeot. There I read that the newer scooters are probably also from China and one runs the risk to buy China quality with Peugeot plaque and price. Since I look anyway for something older, this is not quite so relevant. Kymco probably builds very good scooters, but then it is unclear to me brands like Sym, CPI, PGO. Taugen these? I don’t want something like Rex, Nova Motors etc.. The things are too petite for me anyway. Retrofit Piaggio Fly 50 Light Hupe
Hello I wanted to upgrade a light hoop on my 50’s Piaggio Fly. So I got the light switch of the 125’s version and thought just exchange it and is good. Unfortunately, it’s not like that. Dimming and driving light work, but the light hoop doesn’t work. Do I need another relay and another cable? The plug that goes to the light switch has only 3 cables, but the light switch has 4 contacts. Thanks already for any tips.

Light problem

Peugeot Speedfight 3 125er – what do you think of it?

The 50s are just too lame for me. My requirements are not so high. I want to go to the office about 4-5km and sometimes over country 15-25km. Maximum times on d The scooter should be very handy, so narrow and easy to steer, so that you can easily maneuver through cars in the townverkerh e.g. at the traffic light. Weather protection is not so important to me, I don’t want a weather sign. In bad weather I drive by car. It would be nice if an integral helmet fits into the helmet compartment.
