  • Rear “Stock” Antara

Hello guys, someone has already experienced the dismantling of the rear bodice pole, or, knows one, how to remove the panel (without destroying it) ? pictures, or dismantling instructions desired. Antarian greetings, with accessories for the rear lights of Hella.

  • Vehicle purchase, history

Hello people, together! I urgently need help. My senior wants to buy a vehicle, however, a hail damage is visible, but it is probably not reported to the insurance company. It is nevertheless damage-free and accident-free. Can anyone help me with the historical reprocessing? Would be really grateful.

  • Purchase of 3.2 Frontera Limited may be imminent, Tips…?…

Moin, I’m considering getting myself a 2001 Frontera Limited 3.2 (4/5-door) next week, the car has original 80,000km and full equipment. Can anyone give me tips, which I should pay special attention to besides the usual suspects for all used ones? I don’t know about Opel at all now. The car has no terrain use behind it, also (yet) no trailer operation (since no AHK). I had assumed that it was a 6-cylinder. … how solid is this engine? Timing belts or chain? The automatic transmission? Is there a vulnerability that I should pay particular attention to? More tips? Greetings and thanks Totti

  • Opel Antara, never again, 3 years only trouble, 4 transmission damage and much more

About 3 years ago I bought a brand new Opel Antara 2.2 CDTI with 163 HP Design Edition. We had so much problems in the 3 years as never before with another car. Among other things, the following defects were repaired with a mileage of only 37,000 KM: 4 transmission damage (more on this below) drive shaft defect turbocharger defective oil tank leaks injection nozzles defective starter defective engine control chain housing leaks, defective door panel got cracked seats were rissi g panel amaturary board massive gap dimensions, sun-drenched rust at the rear at rear light radio remote control defective turbo again leaks clutch defective The upper hammer 3 times the flywheel was renewed, as defective!!!!! windscreen washing system defective, water sprayed in engine room injection system leaks, whole diesel sprayed in motorcycle diesel pump makes strange noises engine in idle power makes strange noises (pipes) engine battery defective, renewed recall action due to starter Temperature sensor defective car often did not jump up, error was never found alarm system went off constantly, without apparent reason. Bumper hung away at once, material fatigue There were still several more defective occurred, unbelievably what can break everything for 3 years, moreover only at a mileage of less than 40,000 KM. I have driven more often than my own car. So, the car is shit without end! In March the car was not 3 years old, it became again a new Gearbox installed, meanwhile the third, the last was after 5,000 KM scrap, while switching it made only crackling noises. We drove the car really gently! And now comes the Oberhammer, last week I noticed that the new gearbox is completely leaking. It ran out massive transmission oil. In addition, we were towed 2 times in the last 2 weeks! The ADAC even found that during the last transmission repair the tube and holder for the turbo hose at the egg The turbo has smoked massively black, and this one came in a year ago. People the application was first registered in 2012, had only 37,000 KM on the speedometer. Finally I pulled a line and sold the car. The car is qualitatively simply scrap, it can’t be said otherwise. What was already broken about the car is inconceivable. I advise everyone from the purchase of an Opel, the Opel, as well as the cars there But there were only problems, constantly breakdowns and you had to be towed away. In addition, the consumption is simply much too high for today’s time with well over 9 liters diesel. I will never buy an Opel again in my life. Opel in Rüsselsheim has done a lot of work again and again, but what does it do if it always breaks something again and again. The application is really a beautiful car, but technically just garbage. Ic h I have bought a VW Passat now, I am absolutely thrilled, you can already notice when you close the doors that there is a clear difference in quality. In addition, after 3 years the Antara has already started rusting….. Never again Opel! Even if most of it has run over warranty, what does that bring me if you can’t rely on a car. You want to drive it and not drive a car all the time! Also in the circle of acquaintances drive some Opel, also here you heard by the bank only problems and defective… Then there were statements, when I had a transmission damage, the transmission whistle without end, I should make the radio louder, then I wouldn’t hear it anymore! Incredibly such a thing….. I wish you more luck, who is considering buying one, I advise you personally. I also know someone who has the old model, here the same, constant workshop stays and thousands of euros of repairs….

  • Antara 2.0 with 170 HP Euro 6

Hello Antara friends I’ve been driving an Antara 2.0 l with 170 hp EZ for three weeks.2017 I also drove an Antara 2.2 with 184 hp before, unfortunately I had an accident with this vehicle (total damage ) It was a great car which I loved to drive. There was no long thought about what I would buy for a car again. I bought an Antara with daily registration within a week. Price Performance was very cheap I have now driven 600km by car the engine is running quieter and you can drive the car very well at lower speeds The consumption is 7.0 liters. If this car also makes me as much pleasure as the predecessor I am super satisfied. I had after my accident a car rental Opel Mokka X you can’t compare the car with the Antara once you have driven Antara you don’t want to drive Opel Mokka anymore I wish you Antara drivers still a good drive Greeting antrap

  • new 1,9er Biturbo solution for drinking diesel-antara ́s?

Hello colleagues. the previous 1.9 CDTI replica of motori seems to be the absolute cucumber in the Antara: starting weak and drinking like a hole. From Fiat there is a newly/expanded 1.9 biturbo with 180 hp/400NM (further development of the well-known 1.9 CDTI which is delivered by potertrain)->guck you: http://www.auto-motor-und-sport.de/…/hxcms_article_504613_15086.hbs or directly:http://www.fptpowertrain.com/eng/pdf/Comunicato_uk.pdf The motor will be next at the GM-touch r Saab used. Why not in the antara or vectra? Couldn’t this engine help the Antara, as well as the Vectra, to achieve new performance with relatively low consumption??? …so opel per mail etc. go to the chains so that the super motörchen can be found soon?

  • Problem with Editions Package

Hello together, I picked up my Antara from the FOH in Luckenwalde on Friday, 10.08.07. He has an EZ 04/2007. Since I changed from Santa Fe to Antara, I have a good comparison possibility. The workmanship quality inside seems to be better with the Antara a class, but: – I have the model edition with the 2.0 diesel with the edition package but the parking distance control is missing. – I have no leather steering wheel and no leather knob otherwise everything is included, what l According to the brochure should be in it. The consumption on the way home (approx. 650 km, approx. 80 % highway) has stabilized at about 9 l. Average speed on the AB approx. 150 – 160 km/h. But what really bothers me is the sound of the rear right door when closing. Blechner is really no longer working. Is it really embarrassing to close this door when others are standing there. -This is the lowest level. Is that also so with you?? By the way, I have the Antara in deep-sea blue — looks right Ig good out. Best regards Teesate

  • Request for decision support

Hai @ll, unfortunately I am no longer sure to get an Antara/Captiva after checking the forum contributions. So, a FOH has an Antara 20DTI/AT Cosmo (incl. leather, TPM, metallic etc….) as a demonstration car (approx. 2500 km) and would sell it to me by approx. € 37,000. Now I went to this forum to confirm my (already made) choice…. What must I see, good statements are almost no available to the vehicle, I always read problems here, A I’m the Chevy as well as the Antara test driver, and I have to say that the Opel really liked me much better inside. So my request to you, what does your feeling say, is that this is a good offer or should I leave my fingers off it. At the moment I drive a Skoda Octavia, which beats the Antara regarding trunk by 100%… Thanks for your input. Lg Kindsy

  • Test drive Antara Diesel

Hi guys, I was at the dealer’s today and I tried the Antara Cosmo as a diesel. Basically I find the car very successful although still a few things bother. Here my summary: Optically very appealing design, apparently good workmanship and material selection. However, the 3 ventilation openings in the middle are far too large. Thus the ventilation controllers are operated far below the switch knob, where you can hardly reach it reasonably. Kafferra to a little bit small. Partial leather equipment very comfortable and qualitatively good. Seat heating switch very poorly positioned. To see on which level you are set, you have to lean far forward and have the road traffic no longer in view. Suspension comfort very tight, sporty and yet comfortable. A thick plus. Well for the terrain he is probably not thought anyway 🙂 . The turbo hole of the Captiva is very shrunk. The turbo is now much earlier. price consumption should therefore also rise somewhat 🙁 . The car had only 200 km on the speedometer that I forgive a slightly shaky clutch and a slightly high fuel consumption. The package selection is really very modest but I think this is due to logitic “advantages” because the car is built in Korea and is shipped here. The general driving behaviour is consistently good although a 2.2 l engine would have fit a little better, the steering is very light and yet feels but the price is a little too high. I get more car for the money at Kia. Let’s see how I can still act. Have others tried the car? Sign your impressions. Maybe it will be our next car 🙂 Gruss Thomas

  • Trailer coupling for Antara 2.0 CDTI

Hello, would like to have my Antara trailer coupling (removable) installed afterwards. My question would be?? How much would it cost for Opel to retrofit with built-in parts? How much would it cost for private use with installation??? Where can I buy a cheap trailer coupling ???
