  • V-belt squeaks

Hello, I’ve had the problem for a few days that my V-belt squeaks after the start 1-2 minutes. Thought it was due to the weather. Then to the FOH. It was an automatic tensioner, with the Rimenen everything okay….. good. He then put V-belt spray on it, then it was quiet. After 100 KM it is back again. According to his PC there is meanwhile a shorter belt, but I should wait for the first time. Does anyone know the problem?

  • Purchase of an Opel Antara

Hello Opel _User, I’m looking forward to the purchase decision of an Opel Antara Cosmo. I’ve been working through the forum for several days. I’m a little unsure in my purchase decision. 1. High fuel consumption 2. Reliability 3. Is there a new model 2010 I like the FZ and the price that the dealer offered me is really attractive. < 30,000 I would have liked to hear from you the opinion. Greetings Harald

  • But have some more questions that worry me…

Sooo people, I have read a lot about Opel Antara now. There is no end to the opinion. Some curse this SUV and the others praise it. If the flaws of the time (2007-2008) have been removed, then this is a quite appealing SUV. So, now to me… My father wants to get an Antara now Built 2009 :-)…150 HP, Diesel, Allrad, 5-speed My questions now: 1. Are all errors (consumption, quality defects…) fixed by updates from then? My father has a Is it worth it to order the expensive Navi DVD100? Is there a good deal of ash… Is it more expensive or cheaper in general? 3. Is it worth it to order the expensive Navi DVD100? Is it a good idea to buy the Navi DVD100? Is there a lot of ash… Is it more expensive or cheaper to buy the Navi DVD100? Is it a good idea to buy the Navi DVD100? Is it a good idea to buy the Navi DVD100? h not quite cheap… My father finally wants a navigator, which is built in. I mean, it’s nice and good, but it would hardly be worth it if it sucks. What do you think? 4. Is there a big difference between Edition or Cosmo if I add the edition package to it? 5. My parents can’t decide between VW Tiguan and Opel Antara. If the Antara Cosmo (color: black) is taken now, what would the Tiguan cost with the same equipment? one times calculated? I used to count, but the Tiguan was only 1000 euros more expensive or can’t it be? Hope you can help us make the decision, because we are worried about the shortcomings of the Antara…

  • Constantly only grudges at the Antara

Hello together, I don’t know why such a cool car is made so bad here in the forum. Fuel consumption: Ridiculously the discusion by 8 or 9 liters. If I buy such a car I can’t expect a fuel consumption like with a smart and co. Big, heavy, long, wide……7 liters don’t go. Also the constant comparison with Tiguan and Co. doesn’t work!!! If I want to drive sparingly I don’t buy an SUV! I know before I buy a car what comes to me. Had until now a Meriva 1.8 Cosmo with full equipment and it was in the last 3 years teny times with the FOH! Poltern,Rost, Scheibe undicht etc. All these flaws were previously discussed in the forum Death Discussed and I bought it anyway. All flaws were fixed and I never had trouble with my home dealer despite Eu import. Look at the Irmscher Antara! More SUV does not work in the price range at all. I could also have bought a used X3 etc., but the washings au ch only with water! See corresponding forum posts. I pick up my Antara tomorrow and look forward to the car. Several flaws will certainly stop my FOH just as with my predecessor. Finally have the 6-year guarantee. Greeting and continue to have fun with your Antara!!!

  • Track broadening / Antara

Hello, I would like to build a track broadener and get a thing on the track that gives me some thought.Who can tell me or has experience if the automatic breakdown system or air pressure indicator still works or if this technology is not working. Best regards Jürgen

  • Consumption

Hello! I am surprised myself? I have now 8377 km on the speedometer and had my car in the workshop at the last tanking, before 708 km and complained about the consumption. My Opel dealer tested the car and came up with 7.4 liters. He could prove to me. Now I drove the last 708 km according to BC with an average of 8.8 liters predominantly rural road. Always in the range between 80 and 110 km/h. My usual driving mode just. Today I filled 52,1 liters until the tap 2 times. I landed again at a consumption of 7.4 liters? I told my Opel dealer this news. On my question he and his master denied to have ever done what on the engine. I am of course pleased, but still unsure. I will keep an eye on the consumption and report on it. Anyway, I always had an actual consumption between 8.6 and 9.3 liters! Greetings, Harald

  • Opel Antara report in AutoMotorSport and car pictureAllwheel

AutoBildAllrad and AutoMotorSport report about the Antara . The design, the driving behaviour, the processing and used materials are positively judged, with the engines the diesel is considered satisfactory, but with a small turbo hole. The Chevy Captiva was also evaluated, basically like the Antara, whereby the Antara is slightly tighter coordinated. The motors are identical. However, the Captiva has advantages in price (costs as a 7-seater in the complete equipment around 2,000,- Eu ro less than a comparable Opel than 5-seater). In addition, AMS writes that the Antara “smells like Opel” and also looks like an Opel inside. I also noticed that there are more equipment options for the Antara (e.g. Navi, which is missing in the Captiva list). rolo

  • Chevrolet Captiva driving report

Hello Antara friends, GM shortens the waiting time a little bit. I found this driving report from the Antara sister model Captiva. Processing and engine (diesel) seem to be quite passable. It is not quite uninteresting for us, because the cars are in many parts the same. However, the description of the suspension regarding dynamics (swinging up) worries me. Maybe something still happens until the delivery of Captiva/Antara. Many greetings Waldi05http://www.alle-autos-in.de/…/che vrolet_captiva_24_ls_a17296.shtml

  • Antara live amazed // first impressions

Hello, I saw him today at Opel Tönnemann in COE and also sat inside. Was an Antara Edition 2.0 CDTi in granada black. First impression: Super Auto. 1A processing, very decorative interior, comes in natura much better to stand out than in the pictures. Space available inside: Large but not too lush. High headroom. Also back I had enough space to stretch out legs. The raised sitting position is great, you have a good overview to the front. Luggage compartment: Compared to the Sig There is a relatively high loading edge. Otherwise enough space. Very practical are the veratu compartments on the sides for Krimskrams. Rear seats can be easily moved, although the signum has the smarter folding mechanism. Material appearance: non-walled. Modern interior, plenty of chrome, good seats with how I find beautiful fabric (a kind of synthetic mixture that comes over fresh: not as old-backed as usual with fabric seats). The decorative strip in the brushed aluminum look looks good. Out. So in style she would also make herself well in Astra or Vectra. Outer design: Comes bully over. Big ears (outer mirror). In front as well as in back succeeded. The side gills peep up the side view. So, you notice, I’m thrilled. Who has already sat in it? Write your opinions.
