Hello colleagues, I would have asked for your opinion about this. I drove for years an MB 3.2 CDI T. During this time, on recommendation in the forum, an “oil pad” was mixed by me in a ratio of 1:100 two-stroke oil to the diesel. So maybe there was no problem with the engine. What about the Antara engine 2.2? Would this be advisable here too?

Short distances with Antara and gets hot??
Hello, I have found this forum after a search on the internet and have a question about my new Antara. I have been driving a new Antara 2.2 cdti with 184 hp in crystal white since July. A beautiful car and I am very in love. The following problem occurs however, I was already with the friendly one, but unfortunately it did not take me seriously. After short distances (from about 2 km drive distance) and very low temperatures after the engine is on display the additional fan. At that time, I didn’t drive fast, nor did I drive far or it was hot. Air conditioning is also off. I was with my dealer, he played a new software and he wanted to tell me that was due to the air conditioning??!!?? But that was definitely off. I also stood shcon at very hot temperatures in July on the AB in the traffic jam, with climate on full strength and there was nothing. So no fan (not while the running engine or when the engine is off). went now for a time without the additional fan, now it is again since yesterday. I drove 8 km, it was outside 17 degrees (Do you know the problem, I can not imagine that this should be “normal”, as my dealer explained to me. Thank you already for your help Silke

Opel Antara 2.2 CDTI: “No third winner, rather a loser”
Hello Antara friends, have you already read the new edition of the car picture (No. 21) of today. From page 32 there is a big comparison test between the Opel Antara 2.2 CDTI, the Mazda CX-7 2.2 MRZ-CD and the Mitshubishi Outlander 2.2 DI-D+ In short – the Antara becomes the last. Resume of the tester: “His greatest quality? The long guarantee. Otherwise the Opel disapproves: Neither spacious nor agile or comfortable and not even particularly cheap. The Korea Opel is not a third winner, rather a For example, the payload, which was rated, is 393 kg! The curb weight is according to Auto Bild at 1,952 kg, the overall weight is based on Opel at 2,505 kg. Gives me 553 kg payload! So he would have to get 2 points more and would be right on with the Mitshubishi! Will this make losers? Must study the test again in peace. Greeting Harald M.

Antara 2.0 CDTI with chip – consumption and update
hello antara municipality, I just bought a chipped antara diesel with 180 ps. the vehicle is basically fantastic. the pull through in 5 fifth is simply a dream. now I have read in older contributions that many “successful” a software update to reduce the consumption have been played up (use is with me “apparently” at 9-10l and in bc stand by the previous even 11,8l!!!) . now my question: can I also put my fooh on, the actuality to check my software and possibly to renew if my car was chipped? can the update possibly change the configuration of the chip? would I have to re-enter the tuning company after such an update? or should I leave all the fingers off? if someone knows about it, or even had the same problem, would I be happy about a competent answer? since the consumption has not been discussed for a long time now, would also the current consumption values your vehicles.

Mokka particulate filter cleaning on diesel
Can anyone tell me how the cleaning of the particulate filter with the Mokka Diesel works? Is it just like my Antara, i.e. all 850 km without any warning and with very high consumption?

“Blinker-Bimmel” at the Antara
Hello everybody, do you know that? If you start the turn signal too long at Antara (e.g. when you leave the highway with a longer exit) the “bimmel” (like the buckle warning) will eventually start … interestingly not in the city traffic. Does this have a special reason, or can this be deactivated? I find this extremely annoying. Thank you Greetings Anti-Driver

Chip for Antara Diesel!
Hello! I have been driving an Antara 2.0 CDTi Cosmo (Automatics) for 4 weeks. At first I was very disappointed with the driving performance. No real power at 150 hp and 11 liter diesel. But now I have had a chip / tuning box installed by my Opel dealer for 4 days. First: VOLLE warranty acceptance by the Opel car dealership!!!! Have everything written, no problem at all. Follow: My Antara goes like “Schmidt ́s cat”!!! Didn’t think it was possible myself, but it is true. He reacts to the commands of the accelerator pedal really great. NO COMPARISON TO PREVIOUS! According to chip manufacturer he should have 25-30hp more. But above all this now higher torque is noticeable! Antara driving is again really fun, not only optical!! Cost: 620€ Unfortunately the spirt consumption remains at 11 liters, shame! But anyway, because now I get enough power for it! I love the Antara! (But only with chip!!!) Many greetings PS: Would I be happy about plenty of statements

Antara a beautiful car
I picked up my new Antara from the FOH on Friday. I drove now 800 km with the Antara and am very pleased with it. I read in the forum a lot bad about the Antara, I was already a little disappointed about the car but where I have the car now I don’t want to give it anymore. It just drives super. I have a consumption of 9L diesel on 100km I find that is satisfactory value. The only thing that could be better he should have a 6 gears. so nst I can only report good of the car. I wish all opel antara drivers and drivers a worry-free and good ride

Antara 2008
I’m new here in the forum and I’ve read the articles so far. The Antara would be very appealing to me, but the negative contributions here in the forum scare me off a little. On the other hand, an X3 is actually too expensive for me. If I order an Antara today, I assume to get one from the model year 2008. Who can provide accurate information about the changes of this model year? Has the transmission, especially AT-gears been changed and what is My FOH believes that there are no significant changes.

Antara – we want to walk!
We have been driving our Antara for a good 3 months now and have repeatedly criticized the same points that every Antara owner seems to have here: – low speed – low speed – low engine speed – excessive diesel consumption up to 11/12 ltr. After 3 engine updates, which have brought only minimal results, we are now determined to return the car, especially since Opel lets us see that there is nothing to change, especially in fuel consumption. After our dealer has already promised us the change almost orally, says Opel NO! Where is the German right to buy, after having corrected the defects twice, after all, the right to change? Will Opel make a fuss about the whole nation? As far as we know, there are already some requests for change, but Opel is totally blocked. We have now passed the matter on to our lawyer – but such a process can be done. Is one of you already experiencing the transformation of the Antaras? Is this all the more information we collect from GEMEINSAM, all the better for each individual affected – THANK YOU!
