Hello people, the lid of my rear axle differential slowly dissolves into pleasure. Oil constantly comes out, the workshop can no longer “seat” much. Where do I get a “new”? By the way, is obviously no original spare part, at least not listed as such. Who can help. It is a frontera A 2.2 long.

Antara shock absorber
Moin Together, I wanted to tell you my suffering today with my fat guy. My Dicker – Cosmos, CDI, 150hp BJ 07/07 72,000 km. No terrain, no trailer coupling, nothing heavy in the car, except me. I drive to my FOH to change my brake pads in front. Ok – disks are gone too. Angry, but with the mileage and weight, you can live with it. But now my FOH tells me: your 4 (in four words) dampers are gone. Like now all four at once and that at a driving performance of 72.ooo Km ???. Costs per damper at the rear 1.050 Euro and at the front per damper 350 Euro. Everything without installation. In order not to get the emergency doctor for me a bulwark request was asked, as also my FOH is of the opinion that after 72 tkm not all 4 dampers should be gone. Response from Opel to the bulwark request – Rejected, without justification. Narrow 3000 Euro only on material, that I find already tatterlich happig. Or does anyone still have any IDEE here? I have to recover from the shock. I would be happy to hear or read something from you. Greetings from “poor” Antara drivers

Buy used Antara
Hello forum, I intend to buy an Opel Antara 2.0 CDTI 4*4 automatic Cosmo 2008 with 72,000 km for approx. 11,900β¬ and wanted to ask you if there are any “horse feet” in the car. In the ADAC test I read something about the timing belt change every 4 years or 60,000km. Is that really so? If there should actually be a new timing belt inside. The car is at the dealer’s. My father detects a Vextra V6 CDTI and is actually very satisfied. The interiors look quite similar. consumption is rather secondary as I drive only 9,000km a year. I was just sitting high important If you still have important tips it would be great if you could post them here. Greeting Sebastian

General Frontera A Allrad Question
For the sake of interest I would like to know from you what “all-wheel” means now? We once have rear wheel drive with a differential, i.e. it spins the lighter walking wheel. In all-wheel mode on the front axle the same. Basically I only have on a soft ground 2 wheels that grab and that each on the less grippy ground? The following case: Left wheels stand on bare ice, right wheels on dry gravel. The car should pull, what happens then? Or will be the two differential seperat 100% locked? Then would really pack all 4 wheels evenly?? Do I have a thought error? Nice quiet Sunday I still wish! Gruss Willy

Opel Antara 2.0 CDTI Automatic – Techworld-Chip
Hello, so far I’ve been a star driver, but after I’ve been disassembled my GLK, I’ve been reoriented. Not quite, but still I need a SUV again. Now it’s become an Opel Antara 2.0 CDTI automatic Cosmo. Great equipment except for sliding roof, floor heating and electric seats. It’s from 9/2007, 55,000 km of hand-washed and stapled retiree quality. The previous owner has had a chip of the company “Techworld” sold by FOH from 1 1/2 years. But after allegedly two months, let it be expanded again, because it has no effects. Does any of you know this chip? Should I have it installed again? The Opel dealer says yes and wants to have 25 β¬ for it. Don’t know me with such things at all… Be happy about help as an “Opel newcomer” and also about other comments, assistance and tips on the Antara. Thank you very much.

Antara 2011 ordered!
Hello together! After I haven’t spoken for a year here, I have to get rid of the fact that yesterday we ordered the new Antara 2,2 CDTI with 135 kw in deaf grey metallic and full equipment. We drive the old one for three years and had almost all known problems (rust at the tailgate, bent badger spoiler, air conditioning, steering gear exchanged). Thanks to connection guarantee the costs kept in place. Nevertheless, we love the car and find, that he is the most beautiful SUV driving around! An alternative would have been only the new X3 for us, but that would have cost us 20Kβ¬ more in comparable equipment. Some will think we are crazy now but we are happy like Bolle. The final decision was then made by the dealer who made us a great offer and never let us hang over the years. Comes all well into the new year! TschΓΆ derkleini P.S. The thickness comes in April π !!!

Opel Antara recommended
Hello My girlfriend and I are looking for a new car. We are focusing on SUVs. We are looking for the Antara, which looks good and is relatively cheap as a used car. Now it would be important to ask experienced people if the Antara would be a good choice. Sometimes you can hear negative things about Opel. Briefly to our requirement profile: Drive 50 km daily (back and forth) to work. But it is already very hilly. g and often snowy in winter. The storage space should be large enough to get a stroller in at some point. Consumption should be within the frame. Thank you very much!

What do my Antara, the police and the fire department have to do with each other?
They meet in front of my house ! Hello. Just come back from a two-week caravan holiday in the Black Forest. Today big shopping in the supermarket. 50 m before my garage entrance then spits the automatic transmission. Nichsahnend I park the car and disappear in the house. When I leave this again after a few minutes, the police take me in reception. At my Antara are firefighters and under the car there is a big laugh with reddish oil. The Antara can no longer be moved. Gear broken ! The after 3000 kilometers driven. π During the ride I noticed nothing, no warning light turned on, nothing at all. Only a few meters in front of the house then problems appear. The police alarmed by passers-by ordered the fire department and followed the approximately 4 km long oil track up to my house. Now is a litter quipe of the fire department with oil binder at work and the large cleaning machine sor gt for a medium traffic chaos in the town. π I am curious about the amount of the invoice for police and fire brigade. Opel will be happy besides the repair of the automatic transmission also sure π My anti was driven by trailer to the FOH. Before Monday there is nothing at all. The diagnosis for this transmission crash after only 3000 km will surely be interesting. I will report. Greetings from sunny Switzerland by a bitterly disappointed Antara owner. π

Opel Antara wheel pins standing bolts tear at below 125 NM
Dear Antara driver, does someone from you with his Opel Antara have problems with his wheel standing bolts? The following has happened to me: When I switched from winter to summer bikes properly, I did not get any significant resistance when I tightened with the torque wrench of the summer rims. At a “feeling” torque of about 80 NM, the standing bolts stretched and tore down. To put it clearly: the safety risk existed already during driving and not only during tyre change. Vo n 5 standing bolts tore off 2. Other misassembly such as greased bolts, chips in the thread, rusted bolts, overrotation without torque wrench, hit rims and thus damage to the standing bolts definitely do not occur. Opel has, although our Antara still warranty has rejected any regulation and this without justification. Normally standing bolts cost approx. 2.50 Euro and are easy to change. However, with Antara not, Opel wants approx. 350.- Euro (without installation and removal) for a complete wheel hub. There is a suspicion for me that faulty standing bolts have been used, also the Antara of my knowledge is a co-production with a foreign manufacturer. Please contact me, or send me a message, then you get the info what to do. The Kraftfahrtbundesamt needs further information, is Opel then ready to take a closer look at the matter. Finally, even more are affected. If more are affected, then it can be You can view my bolts at the following link:http://www.abload.de/gallery.php?key=uAw2XWTQ Greetings mutzl2012
