Drive the Antara V6 Cosmo since about 1600 km. I’m very satisfied – apart from the consumption (about 12.5-15 L.). But you knew that before. The circuit is very trimmed to Comfort – a sporty setting is not possible manually. This causes the gears to be switched up very quickly and you end up in 5th gear very quickly. Is it possible to have another switching program set by the Opel dealer that is a little more sporty, i.e. the gears are more powerful? AM

Hello, Antara driver!
I noticed something and wanted to hear if it was the same with you. And that’s my windshield, so wet in the morning from the inside, that I have to dry the disc with a leather for the first time. And if it’s below zero degrees outside, the disc is closed from the inside. And I have to dry the rubbers regularly on the side windows because there is always moisture gathering there. Has one or the other already noticed something?

Image ruin Antara?
People, I like the Antara visually very well and a year ago I almost chose it as a company car, but then I decided to sign it… I like Opel, but is the Antara not (again) a declaration of bankruptcy for such a traditional German company? – Lost every comparative test – Dumpling in the registrations behind the X3, X5 of BMW, the Tiguans and Touaregs of VW and many Japanese – Only 5 gears – Untimely consumption – Climate probably doesn’t work tig – Relatively expensive and relatively small – Inflexible: seat not even shiftable at the back Does Opel do itself a favor with this or should they not have preferred to develop a real SUV? That they can prove it is the Corsa as No. 1! With the defeat in every comparison test Opel does not do itself a favor and the few sales with (probably huge discounts) do not bring anything! So: What should the Antara? Will it be revised again or says goodbye Opel times again very quickly from the segment???

Frontal protection bracket, 20″ rims.
Hello Antara driver, yesterday for the first time I saw an Antara with a stainless steel frontal protection bracket, in pictures I liked the Antara without a handle better, since yesterday I am sure that I will buy a protection bracket, someone has heard of you also a protection bracket on his Antara (pictures ?) or anything negative about it? I know that you do not have to let the handle enter, on the Internet there are different offers around 400,-€. Furthermore I am looking after 20″ rims in Bi Color (black, front polled), but have not yet found any matching ones, know from you from when the new 2008 rims come on the market, or does someone have a rim tip ? (except Irmscher) Greeting Thorsten

It’s embarrassing!
Last night it was really embarrassing for me. I had parked the car for 5 hours in the evening. I had turned on the left parking light because it was dark and foggy. Temperature -6.5 degrees. After the nice Christmas party I came back to the car, opened it with the remote control, sat in, keys around and the starter moved just once. That was it. Had my neck! A buddy could give me with his Audi A3 Diesel starter. But for that reason gleic h Jumping in. My engine only started after 6 attempts. I then drove home afterwards. This morning the car jumped in perfectly. I have already checked the battery. My charger shows 12 V. I can not check more at the moment. I assume that my battery is already flat after 11 months. I don’t think so. Harald

antara: new diesel planned? (180ps)
Hello your knowledgeable read here for months, but I just haven’t found it lately. in mai I can order a new service car and I find the Antara really very nice. what deters me, however, are the problems described here with the 150 ps diesel machine. lastly I heard the rumor that opel wants to take over the 180 ps diesel from the company in a relatively short time (which is already installed at saab). one has an idea whether d he and best still with at-gear will be offered also in the antara? if the antara with 180ps diesel and at comes out this is definitely mine, because with such a motor power and at-gear is otherwise only the x3, which looks nice, but 1. too expensive and 2. NOT looks as horny as the antara…. thank you for your answer… the alex

Antara removable AHK
Hello, I have again a questions about entries ect. I ordered my Antara directly from the dealer with a removable AHK. Unfortunately, he did not have the AHK entered and also no ABE attached. When I asked what with it he told me there is an e-test number stamped on the AHK you do not need a separate ABE!. CAN that be true?!!?!? Does someone in the forum here also have the AHK and could send me if he has an ABE or similar. ? Can you possibly download the ABE from Opel or GM? Gruss Thomas

Hello dear Antara – driver!
Hello all: I am also the owner of an Antara COSMO 2.0 CDTI 5-speed, since 08.11.2007. At the moment I am not very happy. The next day the display was broken from the onboard computer, I didn’t look bad, you can certainly think. But that was not all. At 277 km the car was in the workshop for 2 days, because of following defects. 1. Display from the onboard computer 2. The car always moved to the left 3. Both rear lights wet, large water beads inside 4. Driver’s disc was not set correctly, always scratched when letting down, as if a stone is between rubber and writing. Well, after two days I could pick up the car again and the defects had been removed. Now I drove 1200 km and can take it away again, for the following reasons: 1. High fuel consumption approx. 12 – 13 liters 2. Left exterior mirror does not always work out correctly. 3. Vibrating the foot coupling, (is that also with you? I don’t know that) So When I stand at the traffic light and amplify, and have the foot very easily on the coupling, it vibrates. 4. When the navigation system is running, the left controller blocks from time to time on the steering wheel, so that you can’t scroll. That was it for the first time MFG Michael II

Disappointing sales figures for the Opel Antara in Europe!!
In the penultimate AMS, a report was published that Opel seems to be seriously disappointed with the number of Opel Antaras sold in Europe. It was planned for 2007 that about 50,000 units should be registered. By the end of July, only 17,000 units were sold and the target for 2007 could therefore no longer be achieved. The late introduction of the diesel model was obviously another reason for the buyers to hold back. In contrast to the Chevrolet Captiva, the production of the Chevrolet Captiva in Korea is currently at a standstill. Now GM has a Russia with a new car, which is now in the process of being sold by other manufacturers, partly with older products and Opel now with a new model (already) looking into the pipe again. Your assembly plant opens where you want to produce Opel Antara for the Russian market (about 2,500 pcs per year) It is planned to supply the European market from this plant in a later phase, so that Deawoo-GM has more capacity in Korea for the production of the Chevrolet Captiva.

Antara – Question about the middle armrest and the Navi…
Hello, I’m currently in the process of getting information about the Antara, as I’m thinking of adding an Antara Cosmo 2.0 CDTI automatic. What I noticed on the pictures is that on the Opel side with brown leather equipment the middle armrest is also brown. But with the used vehicles on mobile.de this is always in black leather… Has this been changed in the program of Opel or what does that mean? Another question regarding the DVD 100 Navi… If you buy this, you can use it on the FSE via Bluetooth, right? Is a charging tray needed, or can I leave the mobile phone in the pocket and the drink holders remain in front of the middle armrest? Oh yes, can the Navi also read MP3 DVDs or only MP3 CDs? Thank you for your answers, Gruss from Munich
