  • 16Vg60

Hello people like the one or the other knows I’ve been thinking about which engine I’m installing in my racing car for a long time, the decision has now been made, I’m building a 16V G60 based on ABF. In addition, my question now, with the suction bridge there are 2 possibilities, on the one hand to take that of the Scirocco 16V and on the other hand a “short” one in which a special production comes immediately to the lower smaller part of the suction bridge. Who has experience with this what the advantages and disadvantages of the variants are (torque PS response etc.) Has one of you already built such an engine and is possibly ready to help me with any questions later on. Thanks in advance Tiffanyracer P.S. by the way, I am just selling my “old” engine here

  • Initial wagons

Hi I have a question! Probably I’m not the only one here, with a question like that, it’s here: Which start carts can you recommend to me to meet the following criteria – 0-100km/h in less than 10 seconds (the magic number) – Not over 100 ps (otherwise it’s expensive) (Please don’t come by reason of n start car you just need to get dry from A to B! Yes but how every person has his preferences I also have mine! ) – Possible Easy – Possible t cheaply in the maintenance and insurance ( Golf 2 & Co. fall thus wech! ) – Budget: roundabout 1000€ ( should only last 2 years ) Many thanks in advance!!! MfG Kevin

  • Regularly driving on the Nührburging even though several hours away?

Hello, Since I discarded my lease plans for an expensive car as a novice, because it is simply not worth the effort… I have some play money available to make new adventurous plans Since it has always been car crazy, I always wanted to make my rounds on the Nührburhring… …why not now? However, I still don’t know exactly how to do this? ————— 1.) Driving… I don’t know how to deal with it… About gle I buy an annual ticket, the first few laps, right with 50 and blinker right, until I know exactly where which curve lies? And after that really get rid of it? (I can’t estimate the track at all – the 50KM/h are simply randomly chosen… I mean to drive just noticeably slowly…)So how to hit the ring in the long term? (In the Sufu I only found how to behave during the first ride) 2.) The overnight stay I could organize it I also have Sundays. That means I would go to school on Friday evenings, arrive at night. Get up on Saturday mornings, let off steam until the ring closes, and then return home on Sunday mornings… Where we would also be at the problem… Is it possible to simply get ice cold every WE (except when thick clasps are waiting) to hire a campsite to park his car and get there with a tent? How much fun is it? On the website I can’t find anything… showering etc.? Every WE a hotel would be a bit exaggerated… Somehow you have to sleep there…So: can I live every WE in a tent, wash myself there (in the square) or park my car there? What does this cost? 3.) How to get there If I bought a Bahncard 100 I could buy 20 times by car to the ring back and forth… Is it possible i*how possible to get a car dor t one week to drive it only on Saturdays? On & departure would then be done by train… Is it worth it? No! Is it fun? YES! So it’s considered… And what would the fun cost again? So: What does it cost to park your car there in the long term? 4.) Safety I have less than 1 year driving experience… i.e. that I can handle 1a in normal traffic, but I don’t know the limits of my car… Where do I get to know the limits of my car? ank! P.s.: I’m not going to go Brutal every WE… no matter how tired I am… I’m not that reckless… (That’s why the idea mi the Bahncard…) If I don’t want to be too tired to drive, a good friend has a birthday or something…

  • Upgrade brakes

Hello guys! I write here in the forum, because I think to find here the people with the most experience, even if I don’t want to race. I drive an A3 (see signature) and am quite dissatisfied with the brakes. It runs very well, so that I have no problem on the AB to get the up 230 km/h (tacho!). I find however the brakes are not designed for it. Especially the wet braking behavior is bad. I don’t want to install any other saddles (Brembo GT Junior would be good), white I had thought: – other discs (holed/slit) – the so-called wet brake solution for the A3 (large air guide plates) – other linings – possibly steel flex, if you are already there I actually did not want to change the brake fluid. It should be enough for fast AB-drives, the brakes will probably never get really hot anyway. The linings still give me the biggest concern, I would like to have a brake that packs well abe What do you think about the combination Zimmermann or ATE Power Disk plus Ferodo Performance? I also heard bad things about the Ferodo, but as I said, road use, nothing more… What else can you recommend? Which steel flexible hoses are what? Maybe someone has a good tip…! da_baitsnatcha

  • Golf 3 GTI 2.0 8V as ring tool?

Hello together, what do you think of a Golf 3 GTI as a ring tool? I mean 116 hp is too little in the long run? Should this also be used as a fun mobile and only occasionally used on the NS. But if also as a 2nd vehicle! Do or not

  • Nos

Hello, I wanted to ask if anyone here has any experience with the use of NOS. I actually only know this from PC games (NFS underground) and Fast&Furious. But the other day I’m travelling from Frankfurt to Mainz and there’s a test timer in his Civic lighting the afterburner and disappearing towards the horizon – completely left me! How does the conversion work? And what does it cost? And I heard that it can smash the engine… Thanks for the feedback!

  • Race experience through theory of simulations?

Hello to all car enthusiasts! I realize that the actual racing experience on the race track is being gathered. However, I would be interested if you are of the opinion that by playing racing simulations on the PC theoretical experience can be gained for real driving? You can unfortunately not every day on the track but some evenings you can play simulations. Games that I feel are useful for example FIA GTR, GT Legends, Live for Spee d and Grand Prix Legends. Can you tell the real driving skills on the PC? After all, you react in the PC exactly as you would in reality, if you were on the race track. You will only be able to drive in the game as you have the knowledge and the right technology in mind, that is to say driving the ideal line, correct braking point, correct switching and maximum cornering speed. What do you think about the topic? I am very interested in your opinion!

  • the ideal suspension….?

hy…. since in racing often very deep, fast and also apparently well “legged” cars (porsche 11er) go to the start, has opened up a question with me. can a super driver (e.g. a porsche 911 turbo) be prevented, e.g. over the nordschleife hammers also really with hard limiters at the inspring? I always thought that this is the absolute supergau and in this moment the vehicle is “unberechenbar”.how can one realize in racing the springway limitation effectively, o Is it necessary to use these pu zasatzfeder to increase the spring rate or to progressively apply this? how much one-way travel must still be guaranteed, so that you don’t have a part of German roads during a sporty ride? (ideal example would be the Nordschleife again, which is very similar to the road?) I would be very happy about expert answers. gruß micha

  • PS vs Lightweight

With every discussion about sports cars comes like this, or so always the following sentence: “The Bugatti would easily stomp it into the ground” Bugatti is in this case a house number and can be replaced by Ferarri or Lamborgini ect.. Personally, the purist driving pleasure alla Ariel Atom, Lotus Elise or Caterham 7 entices me (I have decided for this one and only have to wait 7 months). However, I would like to know how it is about the sporting performance If these cars offer something for money, they are good. Or is it pure image. I realize that a lotus on the highway doesn’t have the touch of a chance, but pass or country road? How do you feel about these expensive mostly Italian sports cars?

  • Fun car…

Hello, I’m looking for a fun car for the summer (if it works with the money as planned). There are a few cars to choose from and wanted to hear which makes the most fun on the country road and the slalom group G/SE. There are some different concepts to choose from in the bar… Ford Focus RS Ford Focus ST (the new 2.5T) Mitsubishi Carisma EVO Subaru Impreza WRX STi Honda S2000 BMW M3 (e30/e36) Total costs should remain in the end below 25,000€… Greeting Stefan
