  • Problem with Honda GX160 Kartmotor

Hi I have a problem with one of my Honda GX160 Kartmotoren. The engine runs out with undrawn choke when giving gas. Also several cleaning of the carburetor and all filters did not work. If you hold the suction nozzle with your fingers something it runs perfectly. Also with pulled choke it works. My guess He gets no fuel He sucks somewhere false air (rather improbable) Maybe someone can help me. MfG

  • Drifting at 15

Hey guys, I know this may sound funny but I want to learn drifting, but I don’t know how to learn it or how to practice it until I have my own car. I mean, of course, I already unpacked the steering wheel in Viedeogames and turned it across a few laps but the reality is something else. If you have some tips to start with, I’ve already got a Ford sample. MFG Ole

  • Which coilover suspension for slalom and road at Golf 3 GTI

I am currently looking for a new chassis for my Golf 3 GTI. The vehicle is used at slalom and on the road. At slalom I drive with slicks. Currently I have Koni yellow with H&R springs and an Eibach anti-roll kit. The Probelm is that the rear is strongly swinging up. Since my golf is quite light at the back, it is also quite high legged and from the 40mm deeper laying I think is far away. That’s why a thread is definitely a thread. s H&R Clubsport, what do you think about it? Bilstein PSS9 wouldn’t be bad either, but doesn’t go deep enough

  • Legends Cars in Germany

Hi! We (a few crazy motorcyclists) are currently thinking about how to find affordable, technically easy-to-understand motorsports in Germany. In addition to slalom and smooth rides on the Nordschleife it looks not so good in the country. In the USA, in Canada, in England and Finland it looks a little different. There are the Legends Cars. (Just google, I don’t want to violate any rights here with left) These are one-seater racing cars, whose car is a car. They are motorized with 1300 cc motörchen. Due to their low weight, however, they are correct rockets. The costs are also very limited. New vehicles are available for about €12,000, used in England and Finland very much cheaper. You can drive on any permanent race track, on any drag trip. The regulations could be taken over from England. On weekends, 3 runs are driven, with each of them running at the same time. The points are awarded for vehicles, not for the drivers. This should further reduce the costs by a possible change of driver between the races. Is there a hobby racer who can imagine taking part in such a racing series?

  • need new sports coverings for this question

Hello to the motorsport forum, hope I am right here with my question..and indeed I had previously had roomman brake disc and greenstuff coverings and made quite good experience, then came a vehicle change from 230e to e320..and zZ I drive on tarox g88 discs VA u HA with greenstuff coverings and so very happy I am not..The friction values are of course very high with this disc, so I hoped to get early temperature but apparently run the coverings hot.. when I disassembled the brake from neugier to clean up etc I saw the coverings torn broken off etc..unfortunately no picture made..only I drive on the road no ring..and I think the dinger come back to no case..I rather tap on that the coverings are too weak, the discs make good impression. now the question which coverings you would recommend to me.. read there already a lot in forens but I read for example only positives about greenstuff etc what with me not the f all is..thereafter I read a lot about ate pads or feredo coverings however not in combination with the discs..whether there is ever for my vehicle coverings is another matter but I have to find a suitable direction for my discs..ebc anyway no more greeting hakan

  • Group F, F-2005, FS or others?

I am currently building a Mitsubishi colt, which is also supposed to sniff some racing air. unfortunately only have the motorsport manual from 2004 to the hand… in group F the vehicle would fit in – but that has been replaced by the 2005 (right?) and here the restrictions on the intake tract are too high. the engine (4g93, homologated for group F) breathes over a single throttle system… the group FS would be a solution, since the vehicle would still be used for road traffic the F/F-2005 will be performed as a condition to comply with the regulations of the StVZO, so it would not be a giant theatre for the respective examiner to have the vehicle removed with the regulations-compliant changes in order to drive thus in road traffic to events. since the engine is homologated for the group F3, then possibly the regulations of the group F?? or if someone had nen tip in which other group the vehicle should be removed could be taken? wanted to start occasionally at round-track events, only that is why group FS would not be possible (only slalom and mountain races). edit: so, after some further searches in the net I now know that I could probably only come to group H with the modifications on the engine or the mixing preparation. seems to be the only solution :/ to refit the motor to series intake manifolds would be stupid – the 45mm throttle valve would have to be 1926ccm hub at b is to supply 9500rpm … if someone still has a tip which regulations I could look at – always bring it!

  • front thruster back quietly getting at hard braking

hi at the mini cooper S the rear is quite restless at high speed braking. with a KW 2 and a big brembo front this peculiarity has been attenuated a little bit but not gone. Knackpunkt is also the unfavourable weight distribution with 2/3 front and 1/3 back… I was at the suspension specifically telling me that these crates have this peculiarity and you just have to live with it. the statement doesn’t necessarily satisfy me because I have heard the supposedly cooper aroundfa are those who supposedly got rid of this peculiarity completely – partly with another brake force distribution between front and rear or with an anti roll kit (larger stabis). Funnyly, the problem occurs most strongly in fast (over 180) driven autobahn curves when one pulls out and you have to be fully in the iron. is there still a slight floor wave becomes really funny. funnyly, the little one makes this at the downhill passage after the swedenkreuz on the aremberg kurv e not at all even though you have to get in full and there are also waves without end. under train there are zero probs and the little one then goes around the corner like nothing. also arupt gas removal in the middle of the curve doesn’t impress him at all and he doesn’t even get restless – I’m baffled. any tips? thank you in advance.

  • Hiiilfe!!! Expert Wanted!!

Hello! Got a huge problem: I picked up my 2 polo from the tuner (no field forest and meadows screwdriver Top Bude in the polo mountain sport) on Monday. Originally 75hp GK engine. The following modifications were made:45 double carburetor, new camshaft, new towing levers and springs.new ECU,controller with MK Gr.N system. On the way home I noticed a huge oil loss only assumed the petrol pump oilt so installed new petrol pump. Oil loss was still there. then with the tuner phone conversation held and then changed the sieve from the crankshaft ventilation on the engine block. no success. The oil expresses from the pipe from the track rod. If I leave the oil filler cover open and leave about 2-3 minutes in idle mode everything is OK after that the camshaft before oil is no longer visible, lid on top 1Minute running it starts from the front and when open screwing it hisses from the overpressure. maybe someone knows a solution???

  • Stronger brake system – nonsense!?

Hello everyone! I thought a lot about installing a stronger braking system in my vehicle (manufacturer and model I would like to let go of) for the first time. My car is tuned and, according to the test bench, has to the 250 hp and weighs about 1500kg. Rims and tyres is 225/40 18. A tighter suspension (Koni, KAW) was installed and lowered about 50mm. Vmax. according to Tacho around 260…. So, I know myself quite well in the technical area of a car… but still have spez I’m looking for examples and technical information on the Internet (since tuning specialist books don’t really cover what I’m trying to get) and the yield was actually quite productive, but unfortunately I didn’t get any further. That’s why I’m going to turn to you and hope for appropriate competence! Now on the actual topic: Does a larger brake system (larger brake discs + 4 or 6 piston brake calipers) really work on the braking path? And why? If you could only use other brake pads with a higher friction value to shorten the braking distance? Explanation desirable. What does this look like in connection: Brake vs. Tyres Is it more useful to use other tyres instead of other (better) brakes – should mean: could other tyres be more effective than a modified braking system?? On some sides, this was claimed. Your car does not brake through the brakes, but only through the tires! There is then also, a larger brake system. After completion is for me, that the braking effect must be transferred to the tires and the tires have to implement this by appropriate Hafrektrieb. But, what is important now essentially? Greeting to all Bullit

  • New in the Motorsportforum and Fiesta ST Cup

Hello, I think this is my first contribution to the motor-talk motorsport forum. What connects me to motorsport? I grew up in Wittgenborn – and thus almost inevitably on the Kartbahn. I started with youth kartslalom at the age of eight, then after 6 years I went on the round track in the kart and now I actually took a good 6 years break. That was the time of the Abitur, driving license, training and such things. I would like to hear your experiences and opinions. Does anyone know more about the Cup? What would be alternative series? Of course, the topic of sponsors is also in focus. Has anyone already had experience with the search for sponsors? What did they look like? I thank you for your information. Greetings Christian
