  • Correct mounting of wheels

Hello, I bought two new winter tyres and got mounted on rims. If I mount the wheels on the left side of the car in the picture, and mount the wheels on the right side of the car in the picture on the right side of the car, are the wheels on the right side of the car properly mounted? The wheels on the front side in the picture I mount on the front axle, the wheels on the rear side in the picture on the rear axle. It irritates me a little that the tyre profiles on the right side of the vehicle then point forward, and the tyre profiles on the right side of the car on the left side of the car are the left side of the vehicle then pointing to the rear. WHEN I MONTH THE BOARDS SO, THE EXTERNAL SITE IS ALSO THE WRITTEN “OUTISDE”. I took care of that, of course. So if the tyres are mounted wrongly on the rims. Is that the way in the picture? I am looking forward to your answers!

  • Tyre damage – still mobile?

Hello motor friends, discovered today when cleaning the tires, should actually be pulled tomorrow on new rims. It is about a Dunlop SP10 size 195/50R15 82T. The tires should also be driven a little more sporty, so I tend to a new purchase – which I as a student can not actually afford. What do you mean? Greeting andy

  • Winter ices Rest destruction

Moinsen, actually wanted to switch to SR. Winter tires are probably not enough for the next winter. Would the WR like to wear up in summer. Do you do it like that or do you speak against it? Rides are mainly city-country, rarely highway, max. 140 kmh. Thank you and dear greetings

  • Profile differences between Goodyear Ultra Grip 7+ and 8 ?

Yesterday at my father’s polo on summer tires changed and when I put the Ultra Grip 7+ I suddenly see that we unfortunately got a screw with a tyre. Spackscrew pulled and air goes out of the tire. Tires was only driven about 2000km.. Regardless of the consideration whether you can vulcanize this ( screw is in the middle of the profile and not at the side flaw, so should theoretically go), I think about a new tire for safety reasons Since there is no longer the Ultra Grip 7+, only the new Ultra Grip 8. Are there optical profile differences between both tires? When I look at the images in the net I don’t see much …

Hi together! Short and tight, does anyone recognize these rims? Speaks manufacturer, name etc.? Search like crazy, but can’t find anything. Have already written the page of the photographer, No answer. Since the rims are on a 2s, I have asked the question here. If jemnad has a better idea, just give it to me. Thanks for information!

  • Pure winter tire or M+S? M+S worse?

Hello, I wanted to order the Conti TS850 already, when I saw that this is not a pure winter tire, but “only” an M+S tire. M+S tires should be worse than pure winter tires? Please ask for your answers. Thank you in advance. Greetings DU PS: What would be a very good alternative to the TS850? Maybe the GOODYEAR UltraGrip 9 or the MICHELIN ALPIN A4 or the NOKIAN NOKIAN WR D3 or the Dunlop SP Winter Sport 4D?

  • Can’t you fix the tires?

This morning, after 35km, I noticed a semi-plated tyre on my A3 (photo). Driven directly to the petrol station and filled it up. Searched the tyre and found a screw. Then to the tyre dealer. He says that it is not repairable, because the spot is in the shoulder area (he said nothing about the speed index Y). Is the screw really so far outside that the tyre cannot be repaired? At the dealer I am not quite sure if it can be repaired. With the prices. 113€ he wanted for it (incl. assembly). 65€ costs ́s on the Internet (Next N8000). And for the assembly alone 24€ The tires are by the way only about 6 months old (approx. 7000-9000 km), I think there should be a new one in case of a new purchase. And this then on the non-drive axle.

  • Change Continental Sport Contact 3?

Hello, short question, it’s about the above tyres, I’ve seen that the outer flanks are completely blank, the inner profile is still front 4 and rear 5mm. As the wheels in Oct. anyway come down I wanted to ask if you can still drive so long. I also want to risk no tyre pitcher.
