Hello, I have the following problem: I had equipped my T4 Multivan with 4x new Michelin PA for the winter of 2009/2010 and drove to my surprise like on rails. Snowy climbs, which I could not cope with before with different cars (also front-wheelers) were suddenly no longer a problem with the Michelin. Well, and so I looked at the current winter season with great serenity, the profile had also lost only 3 mm. And now k at the shock: I’m just slipping around as if I had some awesome summer tires on it! Interesting here is that the grip increases after a few kilometers but again. Ok, you think, maybe there had to be icy snow pushed out of the profile again. Just, why was that then no problem last winter? It’s really damn stupid to slip the first kilometers like on eggs and almost not get out of a parking bay, in which one still an hour before So, I haven’t experienced such a stark difference after just one winter and 3 mm less profile in more than 30 winters of my driver’s life. I’ve driven enough winter tires a second, some even a third season. Above all, this phenomenon is new to me to have to drive for miles before the grip comes back, but I put the box off for a short while, immediately gone. Does anyone of you know that? In my vehicle license is under the tyres: 215/55ZR16 and the maximum axle load is 1100kg or 1090kg. I am now looking for all-year tires and in this search I have encountered several types of tires. e i found were 215/55 R16 – so R16 instead of ZR16 – is that ok? Can I also use it? Besides, behind this term is still “93H” ; “93T” ; “97H XL”. What do these, especially, back numbers like 93,94 and the corresponding letters mean? Which (full-year) tires therefore fit my car? Hello, I would like to buy a set of new winter tires. I decided on GoodYear UltraGrip 7. But now I have seen that there should be the UltraGrip 7+. It should be improved even further. My opinion completely intact winter tires were not mounted at the tyre service or the employee refused to perform the assembly. I have a guess what it might have been about but later on. He meant the tires are old and you can no longer mount them. First I would like an assessment of this set of winter tires purely from the outside. t 5 years and the mileage approx. 25.000 km as I drive little in winter. Rest profile height approx. 9mm. On the outer edge you can see small rubber stubs. In some places two are side by side, sometimes only one and sometimes the few are missing completely. Good day, I’ve been looking for new rims for my Polo 9N for a long time on the internet. I’m doing an efficiency tuning and have decided on the following tires: Continental EcoContact 6 175/55 R15. My problem now is that I find almost no black rims suitable for the tire and car, is the rim size 5J or 5.5J 15 inch 5×100 hole circle a special size ? Hello, I would like a recommendation for comfortable tyres. The factory-mounted Bridgestone Potenza S001 Runflat are too hard for me, it feels like wooden wheels are mounted. It is the following tyre format: VA: 225/40 R18 92 Y HA: 245/35 R18 92 Y Comfort means for me first of all damping through the tire to get away from the wooden wheel feeling, therefore only tires WITHOUT Runflat come into question. All other characteristics of a tire are secondary for me, as i I am not a sporty driver. At present I tend to Michelin Pilot 4 (without S). Are there any tyres that roll off even more comfortable? We moved from the Touran to the Sharan. From the Touran we still have 2 years old Conti TS 830 P winter tires there. Because of the rim these do not fit on the Sharan. The Sharan (1 year old, 19,000km) we bought with the all-year tires ContiContact TS815. My KfZ workshop has now recommended me to leave the all-year tires on it in winter and to buy new summer tires for the summer. The all-year tires are newer and therefore at least as good as the Conti TS 830. He would advise me to sell the TS 830. Other alternative would be yes: to put on the Conti TS 830 suitable rim for the Sharan and to use it as winter tires, and to put up the TS815 in the summer. I know that the whole year-round tires are always a compromise. What I have read so far, the TS815 are also considered to be more of the winter than the summer tires. So after the recommendation of my workshop I would have the compromise in winter and not in summer. last winter wasn’t really wintery, the Sharan is only moved during the day and mostly in the city. He drives a signum on which these tires seem to work very well – as he says. who is neither in wet weather, nor in braking or in bends problems, – with “normal” driving mode – only a single opinion of tires from China production is not enough for me to buy…. priceless they are almost unbeatable.
