  • Assistance on dimensions and size selection required.

    Hello On the A4/8K 3.2 Quattro I bought some time ago are 20″ ABT BR rims with 265/30R20 Conti SC2. I am very satisfied with the look and handling. Unfortunately, the rims are wider/same width as the tires, or is the tires arching inwards. Despite taking care, there are always board stone contacts, which leads to partly very clear flaws on the rims, especially on the front axle. Therefore, I am superior at the latest to the next summer new At the same time 245 tyres would be enough for me. Traction should not be a problem with Quattro despite 265hp. It would be important to me that the side view of the tyres does not look “dicker”. Is it not the case that at 245 instead of 265 and at 30s cross-section the 245 side-thicker should be? Furthermore, of course, the miserable curb problem should be solved. Which rim width is to be chosen, so that tyre flank and rim close together, or de R tyres are minimally wider than the rim (should not look like a balloon tire). Are there any differences between tyre manufacturers regarding the course of the tyre flank? Thank you.

  • Winter tyres for Golf IV Variant

    Hello, I am currently looking for a set of suitable winter tyres (195/65 R15, Speed is enough T) for my Golf Variant IV. Set: – Fulda Kristall Montero III – Bridgestone Blizzak LM-30 – Barum Polaris 3 – Glue Krisalp HP2 – Hankook W442 Is the surcharge of 40-50 € right for the other models opposite the Firestone? Thank you already for your feedback!!! P.S.: So far I drove 2 winter a Marangoni… think I can only improve

  • Send tires + rims by mail.

    If you can send aluminium rims with tires by mail, it is possible that they will be damaged so strongly during delivery that they will get a high impact. So, really strongly forgiven? How stable are such aluminium rims?

  • Storage of new summer tyres

    Hello, when buying my golf from the previous owner still new or hardly driven Michelin tires without rims got to it. Now I will get myself complete bikes and they still have tires with 4mm and 6mm which would be enough for me a season. What makes sense? Change tires and throw away the 4mm and 6mm or try to get rid of them or store the summer tires again a season ? When store ? How do I store correctly ? Currently the tires are stacked together in mei ner garage with its bags. Attention it is only about tires ! Without rims ! Greetings

  • Speedmosig? NOT recommended!

    Hello, this topic is supposed to serve as a clue/fillt. Warning: With my girlfriend I was looking for fancy rims as a complete wheel at a lucrative price. About google we have become aware of the online shop ” http://www.speedmosig.de “. Internet presence was actually promising + GTC so far so good in order … short check about experiences with Speedmosig by means of google –> no really positive releases to find… well, mostly it was just about ir gendwelche LED-Sofite and after some time the article was delivered even. Here now my personal experience: After we had found the suitable rim incl ABE, we tried to call… nobody reachable, ok it was after all Saturdays… request written by mail… was answered on the same day, offer 3days later (7days delivery time on account… according to P.Mosig exceptionally… otherwise probably for safety reasons with rims only advance payment[in the GTC is something else]) u After the delivery deadline expired, we wanted to inquire about the delivery status… no chance by phone no matter which day and time of day and email was not reacted … natoll, we thought and set a 5day period to simply provide information about the delivery deadline –> NIX –> Order canceled and withdrawn from the purchase contract! If someone should decide to make their own experiences with Speedmosig … a tip: In the case of I hope to have done you something good. I wish you a nice and sunny weekend.

  • Dunlop Winter sports 3D makes strange sounds

    Hello, I have a problem with the winter tires on the Ford C-Max. As described in the title, it is Dunlop Winter Sports 3D. The noise always occurs between 140 and 160 km/h, below and above is calm. The strange thing is, the tires were already mounted last winter and there the problem had never occurred. Now the noise was there directly after changing from summer to winter tires. Since the car came only a few days from an accident repair (ink left), thought We and the workshop, that a damage remained undiscovered. Since the sound had sounded like a wheel bearing this was exchanged – without improvement. Only when someone came up with the idea to raise other tires, the culprit was found. Of course the wheel bearing has to be paid now – stupidly run! I still have one question, can I claim the tire at Dunlop, with hope for replacement of the two tires? The tire may have only one millimeter down (is max. I don’t think there should be any such flaws with this low mileage if the tire had more down, I would still accept it. In addition, it occurs in the preferred speed range for the highway. The strange thing is, on our old A6 4B, the same model was mounted several times in its own dimension (205/55 R16 91H) without ever giving any noise. And that, although the Audi with its sport, ahrwerk was very vulnerable regarding sawtooth. Greeting Simon

  • The large engine-talk tyre overview

    Hello, dear community! Before every upcoming season change, the same threads with the recurring titles, like “Which summer tires?” or “Which winter tires?”, appear again and again. In order to provide a little more overview, I decided to introduce “the big engine talk tire overview”, but for which I need the help of the community. The game rules for this are as follows:–> You can use the tires with which you have gained experience so far with 1-5 points I will always try to keep the list of all tyres up-to-date here in the first post, including the average of your reviews. –> The tyres will then be sorted by manufacturer here as a list. –> Please only evaluate and comment on tyres with which you really have experience and which are still available at present! –> If a user has only one user in this list then If a tyre is found that would suit him, he can also easily filter out the individual ratings including your comments with the help of the search function. ===================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================================== == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == ======= == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == t 2 – 5/5Winter tyres FULDASummer tyresWinter tyres Crystal Montero 3 – 3/5 VREDESTEINESummer tyres Sportrac 3 – 5/5Winter tyres

  • Conti Premium Contact (1) vs. Premium Contact 2

    Hello, the topic has been discussed here many times, but I wanted to open it again. I have been driving the Premium Contact on my Mercedes W124 for a long time (the name is without the one, but to distinguish it from the one) in size 185/65 15H. I am very satisfied with these tyres: Comfortable, super on dry and wet road and very durable. Now a tyre change is required. I would buy the Premium Contact 1 again immediately. Jet However, there is only the Premium Contact 2 with a different profile. In some articles I read here that these may not be quite as comfortable as the “1”. Therefore my question: Does someone have the direct comparison between Premium Contact 1 and Premium Contact 2? Or does someone know where to get the “1”?
