  • Are platinum tires actually identical to current Conti ?

Hello, at the Tel. I was called a super price for a Continental when I asked for a price at the tyre service, so good that I had to agree and agreed to an appointment. When I was on site then something of “..ja the platinum is yes the Conti…” was sneezed. On my question, however, that at the Tel. there was nothing of platinum but only talk of Continental, it said again that this was a Continental and that would only have a different name. Even if it were so, the whole action was for me too dubious and I dispensed with this platinum. Are these platinum actually identical with the current Contimodels ? Greetings, …and finally place

  • Pressure loss on a tyre

Hello, I just drove my car on a round trip through Scandinavia and have 4 new Nokia Hakkapelitta R3 on used steel rims on it. So I already drove about 1000km without any problems and all of a sudden the rdks reports a pressure loss of about 0.5 bar overnight when I am standing. I have already refilled, when driving there is no pressure loss. The tyre workshop here on site found no defect on the tire. Sometimes the valve changed, but nevertheless renewed pressure reliability What do I do best now?

  • Is it worth buying new winter tires now?

Hi, I bought a new car this week, EZ 2017. The winter tires on the car (Fulda crystal control hp2) have just over 4mm profile. But DOT3414==>7.5 years old. My question is, is it worth buying new winter tires now? The winter tires are currently very cheap. For 4 Michelin or Bridgestone winter tires I pay about 100 EUR less compared to October. I plan to go to Austria and Poland next week, where there is a lot of snow. What would you do in my place? Buy new tyres now, or wait until October? Thank you in advance. Greetings from Stuttgart

  • Continental SportContact 6: High wear? Mixed tyres ok?

Hello dear forum. I have to replace two of my summer tires this year, because two have only 3mm profile depth. My previous summer tires are the Continental Sportcontact 5. My dealer no longer offers this, but the successor Continental SportContract 6. Since I only need two new tires I think it makes sense to buy the Continental tires. Only this seems to be a sports tire which probably has a high wear. I have read at least some of the names. Now it would be legally permitted to drive two different tyres on the respective axles. The alternative of Michelin (Prime?) probably has a lower wear. But it is probably not so good to drive on one axle Continental and on the other axle Michelin. I am not a sporty driver. So would rather not use sports tyres. Car is a Kia sportage with four-wheeled, built in 2017. I would be interested in your opinion on the topic before I make a decision. g.

  • Which size of the golf 6 1.4 -80hp (2009) and 16 inch wheels?

Hello, at the moment winter tyres 195/65 R15 91H are mounted. Well, I would need suitable rims (for a set of summer tyres) possibly 16 inches. In the vehicle license is 195/65 R15 91T Bin on the net on the michaelneuhaus side, there stands Golf VI: permissible wheel/tire combinations according to EEC certificate of conformity (CoC) tyre size 195/65 R15 rim size / press-in depth 6 Jx15 ET47 6.5Jx15 ET50 —————————————– 205/55 R16 6.5Jx16 ET50 Does this mean that I do not have any 16 inch? I have no idea which rim size I need, which tire size can be used on the prescribed rim…? Don’t want to have anything registered by the TÜV. Thank you in advance!

  • Experiences Matador tires

So. Since we are talking a lot about second and third brands now, I wanted to call Matador. Slovak manufacturer. belongs to Continental. Experiences on my part up to now on a BMW E39 in 225 55 R16 as a winter tire Sibir Snow MP92 and on an Opel Omega MV6 3.0 switch in 225 40 18 MP47 Hectorra 3. The colleague of se on the BMW has swarmed from the tires, since he does not think to have driven any better on his 528 touring. Curve position Grip etc would be all top. Vo What had surprised me positively was over 9mm profile in new condition. Made at the Conti factory in Portugal. On the Omega the Matador are only on the front axle. There they were the first 300 km loud. But they have now become quiet. Made in Slovakia. Profile depth almost 8mm. Also here there are no weaknesses regarding handling and braking. Rain power is inconspicuous. Be aware of this again and reports. But for me the MP47 for my A4 is definitely a summer tire candidate. Because the current Contis CSC5 shine with saw tooth and sporadically unsightly deformations of the side wall.

  • What do you think of that?

Now there are tyres already in the subscription with monthly amounts from 8€ for 2 tires. What do you think of this business model? Meaningful or nonsense? I tried out fun for our Peugeot 508 summer and winter tires 4 pieces each and would have to put a proud price of about 70€ monthly for such an ABO. I find this quite expensive but maybe some others have a different opinion about it.

  • Screw in tires

Hello together, wanted to change yesterday to my summer tyres (Pirelli Pzero 225/35 R 19 XL). I noticed that there was a small screw in the tyre profile (see marking in the picture) (7 mm). At this point the tyre still has about 4mm profile. I pulled it out and there was no air. Nevertheless, I think about whether the tyre can be mounted without problems. How thick is the layer under the “rain channel” approx.? How is your opinion? Thank you! MfG dimitri

  • In the middle of the rear tyres

With my C-Class before, I had the same problem with various summer tyres: SR with mixed tyres and rear wheel drive, front tyres outside round and the rear tyres are clearly more worn out in the middle. VR is clear (curve heater) So now, SR actually go everywhere, only rear (mixed tyres) they are almost blank in the middle: factory tyres Pirelli P7 Cinturato * RFT VR 225/50/R18 HR 255/45/R18 Tyre pressure was always between min and max RFT is hard in the flank Is there no need for the tires to get off?
