  • Winter tyres

Hello together, My winter tires 205/55 R16 (Continental WinterContact TS860) have stood today VA 3mm and HA 4mm profile. Are driven in the middle mountains and 1-3x in the year on ski holidays. I know that the tires on the VA next winter have to be new. I wanted to drive them now until Easter and then dispose of them at the next change. But now – especially for sustainability reasons – I have to consider throwing the tires away from the HA directly with me. Just from now until Easter and October Experience shows that there is little snow until November. Do you think it is justifiable to make 2 new tyres on the HA in winter and then to renew the other tyres at the end of November/beginning of December? Or should I renew all 4 tyres directly to the winter? Does it make sense to buy the winter tyres now and store them in the dry, dark cellar until the winter? After all, even new tyres are already up to 5 years old… If yes, do you have a tyre recommendation directly? Important would be a long durability in combination with good adhesion. Liability, however, is significantly more important…

  • NailScrew Tire nail

Hello, I have such a nail screw in the tire that happened to be so that you pushed yourself in is hard to believe. There are now different repair kits, the easiest are probably so tiresnails 5.3×11,7 mm, The screw in it has less diameter I would say. Otherwise there are probably still plastic pins with glue and such small drills in the set, also looks as if the significantly more diameters than the nail screw in it have. A few opinions would interest me…

  • Car continues to move slightly to the right (not always)

A nice good evening, as you can already see on the title, my Leon pulls slightly to the right when I release the steering wheel. Well, I honestly don’t know if I react a little oversensitively. I was there during the axle measurement and saw everything. The track is now front left 5° and right 5°. The fall is slightly larger at the front left than the right side. But he said it wasn’t tragic. On the tire you can see nothing. Although, the inside and outside sides of the tires have 1m m less profile depth than the middle of the tire, but that’s both front and rear. The middle is 7mm and the inside/outside 6mm. Currently I drive a combo from 225/35/19 to 8.5×19 rims. Above all I have the feeling that you can steer it more easily to the right than to the left. But that’s minimal. Sometimes he drives straight, sometimes not. I’m still crazy. Is that perhaps on the roads and I’m exaggerating? Do I need to be friendly again? Edit: The axle measurement was done with laser Technology carried out

  • Corrupted front tyres

Hello! Today I changed my tyres from winter to summer and found out that the front tyres were both quite right on the inside and outside so that scraps can be recognized or whole pieces of the rubber are missing. At the back they look completely normal. Hankook tires from 2017. However, the front seater had the winter tyres all year on it. Can the track be adjusted? The car goes super straight ahead and does not move in any direction. Also not fast, have only a 60 HP Ford fiesta and the driver’s license only since last year. ?? Would of course like to avoid this with the summer tires.

  • Sensibility Height strike in the rim?

When changing tyres one of my rims was found to be high and they told me the rim could not be balanced out. After that I was with the bike at the next workshop and saw them running there also on the force machine. The rim has a height of almost 1cm and the workshop employee said I could forget the rim. After that third workshop (contract workshop) did all 4 wheels again and could not detect any error (so correctly has but I don’t think I understood my concern there). Well, since the wheels were all balanced, I just mounted them to test if I notice anything. First the rim mounted with blow at the rear right, then again at the front left. In both cases, I actually didn’t notice anything and I drove up to 250km/h. From 200km/h it gets a bit restless, which in my opinion is normal. But no vibrations in the steering wheel or similar. How can it be that I t t Shouldn’t the car have to vibrate like crazy? I still have a bad feeling and still wonder if I am replacing the rim. The vehicle is a Golf 7 R and tyres in the size 235/35 R19 (Michelin Pilot Sport 4S) at 2.6 bar air pressure. (Yes, this is actually the continuation of another thread, which I didn’t want to bring out again).

  • Workshop scratched rims when weighing what do?

Hello, I had a track measurement and force of all 4 wheels carried out today at my E46. When removing the old glue of the weights a coworker probably went quite roughy, see photo .. Are not very deep, but so you do not deal with rims, then you could have left the old glue the same. Has someone had similar experiences? Can or should one do something there? Mfg Desmo

  • Which tyres are allowed?

Hello, can I install larger tyres with the new registration certificate part 1 without having to register anything? When buying a used car I got 15 inch summer tyres. However, only 14 inch tyres are registered. A tire configurator spits out 15 inch rims on the internet for the rims to my car. I have read that you need this CoC certificate because in the “new” registration certificate (certificate of approval part 1) not all approved wheels However, it costs 100€. With my car it is not worth it. Did I understand what is wrong or do you really need this extra certificate to prove that there may also be 1 inch larger wheels on it? Addendum: I just found a document of the Tüv’s in which it says that the tire with 15 inch rims is allowed. But do I need this CoC certificate? Damke and best regards

  • Recommendation of an AT tyre.

Hello people. If someone is looking for an AT tire that makes a good figure in the forest (light terrain) as well as on the road, I can only recommend the falcon Wildpeak AT3!! I am really enthusiastic about the tire. Despite its quite rough profile, he does a great job in everyday life. Was now with him 900 km to go towards vacation. He is neither loud. nor uncomfortable. I still had a too high consumption. He drives himself actually, like a stink normal tire. G ut, of course, you have to steer a little more. And logically, it is not a curve predator. It was not developed for that. But to everything else, it just makes a good figure. I would have thought that you have to make more smears in terms of comfort, quietness, etc.

  • How much money do you spend on a set of tires?

Hello, would be interesting to know. A set of “Premium tires” for 16-17″ is already between 500-600 euros. There would be, for example, the Conti Eco Contact 5, which promises a particularly long running time, if one can drive the tires for a season longer. How much long/km do you drive a set of summer and winter tires? Then I wanted to ask how you stand for aluminium rims in winter with a middle class car. Besides optics, it doesn’t bring any added value, does it?

  • Tyre combination allowed on Mercedes Vito?

Servus together, sorry already in advance for my stupid question, but with tire sizes I am always quite on war foot. ???? I would like to buy a Mercedes Vito w639, year 2012 with four wheel and extra long. The bus stands on “General Grabber AT3” in size 225/70 R16 (see picture). I fear honestly that I am not allowed to drive this size, the seller claims the opposite. Can you possibly help me here? ?? If they really are not allowed, then there is a Mö What would happen to me? Thank you very much in advance and best regards, Steve.
