  • Seasonal Prices Storage +Replacing Winter- Summer Bikes

In recent years I have always paid just under €50 for storing + changing the wheels per season. Since autumn the prices in my area have doubled (> €90 ). As a reason I have been told several times that these are the market prices. Is that the same with you?

  • Speed index for summer tyres/winter tyres

According to the approval certificate, my C220 CDI tyres are of specification 205/55 R16 91V. I am only interested in the speed index. Is it right that the next lower speed index can be chosen for winter tyres? My summer tyres have the speed index “V” (up to 240 km/h). With the winter tyres, which are to be purchased soon, I would like to choose a tyre with the speed index “H” (up to 210 km/h). Is this permissible?. I am only interested in the legal aspect. In the registration certificate of my C220 CDI a maximum speed of 232 km/h is entered.

  • China tyres: myths and reality ….

Hello Motor-Talker, I would like to ask a fundamental question on the subject of “China tyres”. On the Internet you can find numerous indications that these tyres tend to be of much worse quality compared to well-known brand tyres. This impression has existed for several years. Now it is known that China is now selling millions of tyres worldwide, and this has been happening for decades. My question is: Are all China tyres/manufacturers bad? Have you had personal experience with current China tyres/manufacturers that are still acceptable? I don’t want to start a discussion here about how the cheaper China tyres behave compared to more expensive brand tyres from Western production. I’m more interested in finding out if you have also had positive experiences with certain Chinese tyre brands or manufacturers. . I’m looking forward to your feedback. Greetings Lina from Heilbronn

  • Which wheel screws for my rims

Moin, I had my rims changed abroad and had to leave the car in the workshop last week. There the car master said that there are the wrong wheel screws on my car. I have now looked for the right wheel screws with the help of the KBA, but there is also something of an accessory kit. I just ask myself, should I buy this now or not? The KBA number of the rims is 46867 and the car is a Touran 2009. It would also be very helpful, if someone could link the matching wheel screws, because I always find different and don’t know exactly which ones I need now. Thanks already for the answers.

  • Someone used my wheels as a ladder.

So, my wheels are standing in the basement (2 horizontally on each other, the other 2 next to each other). The heater type was there and he had to do something on the ceiling (drill, supposedly) and is simply on my wheels on it and his work. I wasn’t there, of course, but only my mother, who didn’t know that you shouldn’t do that. Now my question… how tight are the things? Can they be damaged so easily when an adult man is on it? There are 21″ alu rims and de talking summer tires on it. I have made a short visual inspection, everything seems to be fine, but I will not know until the wheel change in May.

  • Damage to tyres

Good evening together, I have a problem with my two front tyres on my Audi A4 Avant (built in 2021). Both front tyres have significant damage after only 1000km. I bought the car only recently from a dealer. At that time I noticed that some “gummifets” were “tore” out of the profile. I was then installed new tyres before the purchase. After only a few weeks the same damage is present again. fen, there I was told that I should have the track adjusted, then there was not talk of new tires which is of course not acceptable for me. Does anyone know what else could be the cause? (Images I add) Thank you Sincerely???

  • GLC accessories wheels Different press-in depths

Good day together, I’m writing you for the first time today because I have a little doubt. I bought a used GLC250d, where winter complete wheels were already sold with. But now I have to find out the following: My GLC250d from 2018 with the approval number: e1*2001/116*0480*28 Has installed for the winter the following rims: Rial Bavaro 8J H2 235/60 R18 ET35 In the attached extract of the ABE from Rial rims are released for the GLC. Here is e1*2001/116*0480*16. (here ge ge ge. This means that these wheels can be mounted according to this ABE. Here is the link to the ABE:https://www.rial.de/…/BAVARO%20(BR)/BR808_8,0x18/BR808_5x112_ET35_B7/00361075_BR808_5x112_ET35_B7_66,6_6a_KBA49237.pdf Now, however, both the wheel tyre combination on the Mercedes side for my GLC and the EG agree that the GLC has to be driven with ET38 at 18 inches. In my opinion, the wheel tyre combination on the side of Mercedes has to be driven with ET38. I have attached a photo of the EC conformity and the extract from the wheel tyre combination. How do I now proceed with these wheels? Can I drive these wheels and if so, do they have to be registered then? Or we have a proof that I can drive these rims easily. The previous owner has driven these rims for years. I very much hope that you will be able to contact me with these rims. m topic can give a boost! Thank you in advance and greetings! Niklas

  • Tires burst on the front right, change both tires?

moin, my tire at the front right has a crack and is a defect. The tire has a residual profile depth of 6-6.5mm, all tires were replaced about 1.5 years ago. Should I buy 2 tires now and replace the tires on the complete axle or enough if I get a tire. Thank you for your help.

  • Nitrogen in tyres

I let myself into my new summer tires 225/45/17 nitrogen. But because I didn’t want to drive to the tyre dealer every time to check that the tyre pressure is still right I set up my own nitrogen bottle as a filling station. Now my question, how much bar comes into the above mentioned tires naturally. I forgot to ask the handler. mfg csn
