  • Cheap tires and their prejudices…

I have been driving for 5 years and 70,000 km with Maxxis tires through the area, and can report absolutely nothing bad about the driving characteristics …! I have for summer and for winter each 195/65/R 15, and drive mainly highway and country road. At that time I had not so much money available, and just let me get the cheapest tires up, with the special hint that they hold also only half as long, and also have significantly less grip. now the question: In how far is this even true??? (for everyday life) If you leave the problems with some twice as expensive “brand tires”, then I no longer really believe in such statements… So why spend a lot of money, if the quality is not much better?

  • Screws oils/fats ?

Hi people again I have a question. last time it was time again and I put my summer rims on it. the screws were almost not to be loosened anymore. a rim also went on (key slip and fully into the rim). the trollos of mature service have tightened the screws much too dolle. after a long fight I got them down. now I wanted to know if someone oiled the mature screws of you / greases?? I have never seen this before, that this is done but you don’t have to make life difficult for yourself. I didn’t want to get rid of it like that.Could be that a screw could loosen or something. well, I’m curious what you say about it. thank you: Greetings

  • When will the Conti SC 5 P arrive??

Moin Girls, when does the new Continental SportContact 5 P come on the market? Bzw. when does it appear on the retrofit market (new German aftermarket)? It is probably already used on the factory side. At SportAuto there were already a Focus RS, the Megane RS as well as the also new TT-RS with the SC5 P in the test. Who knows what? ps: Why Conti omits the SC4 the cuckoo knows…

Hello! On my car were/are accessories rims (Ronal). There were tyres of the size 205/50 R16. In the ABE to the rims is also the 195/55 R16. This size is not listed in the papers of my car, can you put it on it and drive it or do I have to have it registered somewhere? If so where, how and how much does it cost?

  • Summer tyres

Servus I’m already looking for new summer tyres, because from February the dealers will be supplied with the seasonal goods and thus also attract the prices upwards. They reach their highest level from March in about. I need four new ones, because the previous anno 2006 and the previous owner are. Size 175/65 R14 82T for a Yaris, which is driven quickly, so not like a grandma. Ride mixed routes, about 15,000 km a year. Available: * Goodyear EfficientGrip Compact, New in spring 2013 (complete set for 170 euros) * Barum Bravuris, proven but proven in the years (complete set for 140 euros) * Kumho Ecowing ES01 KH27, New arrival 2014? (complete for 150 euros) * Please keep Hankook, Firestone and Falken away from me. I had only bad experiences with them so far. What would you recommend?

  • Tyre repair tread/profile

Hello together, Today I found that my winter tires are a bit of a “lose” profile. It’s not a real hole in the profile, you can “fold up” it in one place. Normally I would change the tire immediately, since my new car is already ordered I wonder if you can repair something like this? How are your experiences with such mature defects? Panscher

  • Aberrantly different tyres

Hello, I have the following problem. A few weeks ago I had an accident without fault. At the back right one drove me into the side. Felge broken, tires broken and a lot of sheet metal was also damaged. Today I get my car from the workshop and when I look at home, the workshop has beside a new rim also mounted another tire. Now I drive around with three Conti TS 830 and back right a Conti TS850. Is that even permissible? G Ruß Stablaass

  • Larger tyres = More speed?

If you’re looking for a car-newbie, you’ll find that you’re looking for a car-newbie, you’ve already screwed around bitsle (windows in front door renewed), but otherwise you don’t have a lot of cars on your hat. Now the purchase of new winter tires is on and since my car can handle 14-inch tires (currently 13 inches are on it), I wonder if this has an advantage if I do bigger ones on it. Theoretically, it would have to be like this: the axle rotates with X revolutions the minute, the bigger the tire, the higher the wheel would have to be. Aside from that, I would have to have other advantages: – Slower wear and tear, because more surface In how far am I right with my guesses?

  • Collecting thread tire runtime

Hello, I just calculated that I have achieved quite impressive mileage with the winter tyres on our familyvan Renault Grand Espace so far. In this context, I would be interested in the mileage of other tyre manufacturers. I would like to encourage that we only post car and tyre data here without falling into discussion. I think it would be helpful for many tyre buyers to compare this data. My suggestion about the to post end data: car type, tyre type, mileage, residual profile I will then start: Renault Grand Espace, Nexen Winguard Sport (winter tyres), 43,000 KM, residual profile 4 mm BMW 530d Touring, Conti Winter Contact TS830 (winter tyres), 24,000 KM, residual profile 4 mm Jaguar X-type 3.0 4×4, Falken HS 439 (winter tyres), 39,000 KM, residual profile 3 mm
