  • Durable summer tires in 18 inches

Hello, have a question about 18 inch summer tires. Would like to exchange my 16 inch rims with Michelin Primacy this year for 18 inch (245/40 R 18). Is there a cheaper alternative to the Michelins in terms of durability? They are already very durable (and very expensive). I attach more importance to comfort and long-distance fitness as well as sportiness. Oh yes, the car is a Volvo S80. Would I look forward to a few infos.

  • Which Profieltiefe for all-year tires

Hello, wanted to know how far you should drive the tires. Mine now have 4 mm. Some say 4mm some 3 mm and others 1.6 mm. If I need new ones after what can I buy them? The tyre lid should not be the yellow of the egg, as you leave here.https://www.focus.de/…an-pneus-recht-abfahren_id_7933918.html

  • Discounter tool for changing wheels – what is it?

Moin! Again and again you come across offers for cheap tools for changing wheels. Specifically, I’m talking about an electric impact screwdriver from LIDL as well as a compressor for wall mounting from the same house. I’m basically already equipped to change wheels, but think about making work with the impact screwdriver a little easier for me. Yes, I know that you don’t fire the screws. I have a torque wrench for that – no, not from LIDL. I would use the compressor for tyre pressure control and sometimes to blow out one or the other, but here the focus would be on tyre pressure control. That the linked offers can not keep up with professional tools is beyond question. I would like to know what concrete experiences with comparable tools look like. Do the parts do their job in the company. or are they total failures that are simply not worth the money?

  • Selling winter tires properly

Hello all, I have to sell the days my old winter tires, because I don’t own my old vehicle anymore. now I have the wheels from the dealer and I don’t really know what to say. I probably have 205/55 R19 tires, however, three have the addition T91 and one H91… I think I have something to do with the speed, but I don’t find anything about H91. Then I have the steel rims to do that I only know that they fit on my Civic type S, alldi ngs I don’t know if I have to specify the year of construction…. Have a look at the rim size once there is: car 8005 / 16 x 6 1/2 J / ET 55 /34-07 / KBA 43738 and once : car 8005 / 16 x 6 1/2 J / ET 55 /36-12/ KBA 43738 I have no idea if I have to specify such a thing. The tyres are also different series once Ultra Grip 7 and 8 of Goodyear. Three have 7mm one has 5mm profile. I wanted to do the now at Ebay , but do not know exactly which of the complete specifications wic htig and which are not and whether I still have something to keep in mind… I am absolutely not interested in buying them here, but really only if I can sell them without and especially as best. Would be really nice if you have a tip. Thank you in advance for your time and help. Greetings Chaotenkopf :_P

  • Rolling noise Hankook Kinergy Eco K425 205/55R16 91T

Hello forum community, After I started in February to take care of new summer tyres for my Golf 6 1.4 TSI and after a long time to browse the internet, I decided between Hankook, Dunlop Sport Blue Response and Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance, finally also because of the price for the above mentioned Hankook. My route I drive every weekend: 50% country road, 50% BAB, 2 people, little luggage, 2.4 bar air pressure on VA and HA The tyres have In contrast to my winter tyres (Dunlop Winter Response 2 in 195/65R15) I have the feeling that the Hankook are very loud. No matter what road surface, no matter what speed, they are almost always unpleasantly loud. Do you have any solution or similar problems with the tyres? Is it perhaps also the wrong tyre pressure? I thank you already in advance for your help! Greetings, Felix

  • EC countries, economic statistics, economic statistics, economic statistics, economic statistics

For personal reasons, I have read quite a lot here about sawtooth and made an opinion about the best way to replace the tyres. To this I ask you to take a stand. My situation: just bought Golf IV, Conti Eco Contact summer tire, profile front 4.5 mm, profile rear 6.0 mm. I have just replaced the wheels front/back to achieve even wear. Now I have the vibrations and noise front, d When I examined the (current) front tyres, I noticed the saw tooth, on the outer sides of the tyres, which is responsible for the vibrations. So it was clear to me that this was not a good idea with the wheel change. Now I have collected the following information from the forum: 1. Saw tooth formation generally takes place on the non-drive axis. 2. From safety-relevant aspects should be on the r rear axle no worse tyres are mounted to maximize the life of the tyre set. Taking into account these aspects, I came up with the following idea, which will not be new, but did not appear here in the form of my knowledge. Here’s my suggestion (not direction-bound tyres!!): In the first alternating turn (e.g. after 10tkm) replace the wheels on the axles only left/right in order to compensate for the possible saw tooth. the sawtooth should be balanced. In the second alternating turn (after another 10tkm) the wheels at the front/back are replaced, the sides remain the same. I promise to wear the whole set of tires evenly and the sawtooth should not be large, since the tires have run equally much in both directions. That would not be “the classic” over cross, but divided into two turnsi. What do you think about this? If I were to work according to my model, ic h mount the “saw gears” from the front back to the rear, but on the side. Or on the contrary, I only switch left/right… if then the noise goes away? Let’s take this topic up again. I thank you for the answers in advance!
