Should I buy this one tire again? Damage: See pictures Tyres: Nokian WR-A4 235/45 R17 97V of 4716 allegedly only 4-5 weeks drive and profile is also available at least 7-8 mm. (so as new)

  • Tyre dimension approved for rim and vehicle? Rial X10 BMW 320d xdrive 2012

Hello, my dear tyre dealer recently sold me an unapproved complete wheel set. Now I checked what he sold me 1.5 years ago: Rial X10 rims, KBA number 49763, 8Jx18EH2+, 18 inches Here is the report:https://certificates.reifen.com/r04/55014214-3n-1-3-001.pdf Tyres: Continental Dimension 225/45 R18. My car is a BMW 320d xdrive M sports package, built in/EZ 10/2012, 135 kw. He gave me an opinion at the time and said that according to ABE s o is approved. If I see it right, the tyre is not approved without TÜV registration and I have to have something changed on the car if necessary? Do I see that right?

  • Experience with all-year tires on a mid-range combi?

In my parking hall there is a Citroën C5 first-generation station wagon. It is an heirloom that I “save” for a relative. The car is rarely driven, it comes together perhaps 5000km a year. I still have two sets of tyres, but both WR and SR are almost 10 years old, so they have to be replaced. Since the two-time bike change is hardly worth it and a new purchase of two sets of tires certainly not at all, I think, the car on all-year tires z With very wintery road conditions, the car is only very rarely used, in the summer you do not drive long distances. On compact graders should by now be very neat all year round tires – but what does this look like on heavy car like the C5 (which weighs well and likes its 1700kg)? Does anyone have experience with GJR on a comparable car? Are there perhaps even emulations for a particular tire?

  • Question to tyre connoisseurs were the summer or winter tires?

I’m discussing another forum about a traffic accident, and someone can say more precisely if the Mercedes winter or summer tire was on it. The video is in large format at second 17-21 you can see the tires very well. http://www.ndr.de/regional/niedersachsen/emsland/accident3351.html

  • Is there a table/feeling rule which tyre width do I drive on certain widths of a rim?

Hello @all, sorry question is so long that this does not fit in the headline! So again: Is there something like a table that tells me which tire width belongs to a certain mouth width of the rim? I mean now not such a list according to factory specification, where different wheel/tire combis are specified by the car manufacturer! But here is an example: I drive a Mercedes CLK 320 W208 Bj 11/98. VA 7Jx16″ with a 205/16″ tire; HA 8Jx!6″ and a 225/16″ Independent of the body, like wide a tyre from the technical side can be so that it fits on a 7;7,5;8;8,5 or 9J rim? and looks still good optically! Is there a so-called rule of thumb? Thanks already in advance and nice WE from the CLK W208 forum.

  • Hardened summer tires bad for the chassis or can they burst?

Hi, I looked at my summer tires today – it’s Michelin Energy, 205/55 R16, now eight years old and still have about 3 mm profile. They were dangers by myself on my Golf V TDI. From the profile I would put them on again (do not drive much at the moment), but: I noticed last year that the tires feel pretty hard. Does (except in the case of rain) a higher risk of a tyre placer or of consequential damage to suspension and suspension exist? for a few expert opinions very grateful. If you are a car driver, please write, then you can better assess the opinion. Thanks already!

  • Does anything speak of 98H instead of 95V at vmax = 205?

Hello, my S-Max with 163 hp from 2014 is indicated in the Schein with 215/60R16 95V, but vmax is only 205 km/h. In the COC are also the 17-inch with 98V and at the very rear under optional tyres also the 18s with 98V, the 16s as in Schein with 95V and additionally the 16s with 95Q M+S (probably only with stickers). Now very few cheap V-tires are available in 16 inches. Does anything speak against to take a 98H or 99H? From 2009 or so there is no general surcharge on vmax anymore. And there is no more. an impact due to load is probably also eliminated with the higher load index, so that no sticker is necessary?
