  • What’s wrong with Pirelli?

Search for a long time for my S Class W 220 new all-year tires. On my previous S 320 I had the Pirelli Cinturato Allseason, with which I was also very satisfied due to its roll-off comfort. I would have liked to have it again, is in the size 225/60 R16 but not available throughout the country. Have searched on the Internet everything. Pirelli I also wrote, but they do not answer. Does anyone know anything about it?

  • Question about summer tire choice

Moinsen together! I was helped very well with my winter tyre choice here, which is why I think that you can help me top here again! Well, the summer is at the door. Although not my front door but at some point also here My Pirelli P-Zero Rosso tires are good, and there is still a good profile on it (between 4 and 6 mm) however these are on the sides (inside, I would never have seen) properly damaged, why I did not go further with the maturity So, as a tyre size it MUST be a certain size with “Traglast” or “Index number”: -> 215/45 R18 93V Since the Pirelli tyres are usable, but loud and uncomfortable (I know, cross-section is small, but have other marks on the same rims and there it was much more comfortable) I would like to make a “brand change”… Which tyres can you recommend to me? I have already discovered Nankang XR611. have Nankang tires on our S80 (very heavy and faster than my C30) in 225/55 or 50 R16 and the things have a good grip on wet and in fast driven curves. The search results and test reports in independent test sources say that the XR611 in wet are not the best, but in a star rating 4 out of 5 stars (the Pirellis like I have them on the same platform have more or less equivalent results in wet). Okay, are made in Taiwan, but developed in Europe (at least Nankang indicates on the homepage)… Has anyone seen similarly cheap (the Nankangs cost about 80€/tires) tyres somewhere? What can you recommend??? Greetings and thanks for your feedback Damien

  • Steering wheel crooked after changing wheels

Moin moin! Friday was the time for me, there were summer bikes. I picked them up from a tyre dealer who pulled me new Conti SportContact 2. Right on the first kilometer I noticed that the steering wheel stands minimally to the right at the straight exit. I thought first of all, maybe it’s the new tyres or the wind. Now 4 days and 500km after that still the same thing. On the highway I can easily turn left with straight steering wheel impact. When the steering wheel is released, the car runs very slowly to the left within a few 100m. I can rule out wind by now. It really is only minimally crooked, but that was not the case with the 195/65 R15 winter tyres before and with the old summer tyres either. I did not go against anything in the winter and I also never drive against or over curb edges. Besides, I have been the only one who has been driving with the car for ages. I wonder what sic is, that the mechanics in the workshop have solved the winter bikes at the front with a hearty blow of a thick wooden block, because they were probably fixed on the hub. Now I wanted to put them back on winter bikes today to see if it was on the car or on the new wheels. Well, sadly, wheel screws are pinned. I usually get rid of them with a normal wheel cross. I didn’t even get through on it now, whipping around or with a tube as an extension. h the workshop thinks, how one should solve the screws in a breakdown on the highway with the on-board key… But now I have another guess: 2 years ago I installed a sports suspension and with the old summer tires the axle measurement after it. But the tires were not so top from the drain picture, had sawtooth. Perhaps the track was adjusted on the old tires and with brand new tires (KW 8 & 9 2010) this is not quite true anymore and the winter tires intere In any case, I’m going to go there and release the screws and have them put on properly. Then I switch to winter bikes and see how the steering wheel stands. What do you say about the steering position? As I said, minimal but clearly available. Winter tires are 195/65 R15, the old summer tires were BF Goodrich G-Force profiler in 205/55 R16, that was a V-profile and the new also 205 as said by Conti without V-profile. ede help grateful, since I am just a bit acidified, already alone, that the wheel screws were so balled…

  • Radzierblende: What should you pay attention to?

Hello together, I hope someone can help me. Google doesn’t spit out anything right… And that’s what I’m looking for for bike trims for my car (yes, I think they look better than just steel rims). The prices are somewhere between 20 and 60€. Now I wonder what they can differ in? Is there an extra charge? What should be taken care of? Is there a recommended brand? Thank you in advance!

  • Summer tyres prices

Hello! We have a family car (VW Touran) with 225/45 R17 rims/tires. These have to be restocked this year. Now I have just made myself (for the first price comparison) at Reifen.com and wonder about the bad opaque immense price differences. The Touran is really not a racing car, 190 top, so I do not need high-speed tires. The cheapest offered tire costs 42 Euro (Sunew 225/45 R17 94 W ZR YS618) (Ge W Load 94) Is it worth it for me to buy a “better” mackerel tire (e.g. “recommendation” Vredestein 225/45 R17 94 Y ZR Ultrac Cento XL FSL for 89 Euro ) ? Of course I am interested in saving money but also does not want to do this at the expense of security. Thanks for answers! Greetings,

  • Quietness always problematic with rims with centring rings ?

Hello forum ! I have tried the SuFu already unsuccessfully and therefore make here a new thread On the current and at the previous car had or. I have each in the summer aluminum rims that can get without a centring, while the winter alus had or have. With the rims without a centring there are never problems concerning vibrations in the steering wheel or similar. However, the winter wheels with the plastic rings are always very problematic ! Despite perfect balancing tremors in the steering wheel again and again. Helped with both cars mostly the loss of the wheel and offset by 90 / 180 / 270 degrees again. However, with the current car it is also hardly a perfect quietness to produce. Instead, I even at once had rubbing brake discs! Depending on how the rim was mounted it was sometimes more, sometimes less strongly pronounced. Since today the ringless summer wheels on it are again – run immediately PERFECTly calm ! The problem with the old Escort as well as with the new focus is the suspicion that such relatively low-priced accessories rims with centring are generally problematic. Can you possibly confirm this by your own experience? I emailed the rim manufacturer PLW (Proline Wheels) in Mannheim several times because of the problems but never received an answer. old…

  • should “complete tires” from ebay be delivered assembled?

Hello, we bought beautiful new complete bikes via Ebay. And were surprised when the packages stood at the door: tires and rims separately… The auction text does not deal with the condition with any word, which in my opinion should not be necessary in the category “complete tires”. Pulling up will cost around 40 euros extra. Would you expect to get the complete wheels mounted (except air pressure)? We consider this to be a lack. Greetings Andreas and Eleonora

  • RDKS

I think I’m already annoying one or the other with the topic, since it has been dealt with many times, but I haven’t quite understood it yet. Maybe one more muse has to answer my questions… I’m about to get winter bikes for a MINI Clubman. Of course, this one has the RDKS with the BAR indicator in the cockpit. I have understood up to now that I definitely need wheels with these sensors. Now to my half-knowledge: I’ve also missed the fact that you have to program the “universal” sensors via ODB. So you can’t do it yourself. Now the question arises for me. Are the sensors only programmed to the car type, or “connected” to the car via ODB. In other words, the “programming” of the summer bikes flies out? Do I always have to go to the workshop to change tyres? Greeting Dolphin
