  • Fast wear KUMHO ECSTA KU-31, you too?

Hello! Have above mentioned tires in size 205/40 R17 on my Focus MK1 1.6 16V! According to ADAC the tires cut off quite well, also in terms of wear, durability! So I bought the tires in March and must realize that the front tyres wear out quickly! I ride normally, so not always with burnouts at the traffic light or with 150 around the curve. On the tread the ECSTA lettering is reing punched (was in original condition about 1-2mm deep – see picture) – back is the lettering still there and in front he had already left after a month already! (drive so about 1100 km per month). However, I am satisfied with the noise and grip! Have you had similar experiences with the tire? setje

  • Versch. Tyre sizes ex factory on the same rim: TÜV registration possible?

The ordered Seat Ateca (equipment “Xcellence”, 2WD) is delivered as 2WD on the factory side with 215/50 R18, at the 4WD with 225/50 R18 (on the same rim, the 4WD has lower track gauge). Since I intend to switch to full-year tyres after delivery, but there are only 225/50 R18, I would have to show this size at the TÜV (COC of the 2WD unfortunately does not include the 225er). Which documents are required for this or takes the TÜV as the basis the factory data and evaluates the Rest “individually”? What costs can be expected?

  • Asymetric 3 conflicting information

Hello again, either this did not work with my question or it has disappeared. Please allow me to ask the question again. Should one use the information of the REIFEN manufacturer to air pressure or that of the VEHICLE manufacturer? Tyre size is 255/35 R 19. Goodyear recommends for the Eagle F1 Asymetric 3 on an A4 Avant Facelift B8 the air pressure partially loaded front AND rear 2.6 bar, fully loaded 2.8 bar. Is in my opinion already quite unusual, the same Lu I’ve never had that with a car before. Audi says 2.9 in the front and 3.1 in the rear. How much bar do you advise me? I’m usually only partially loaded. I’m very grateful for your help.

  • Winter complete bikes Corsa S

Hello guys, I have been the owner of a new Corsa S since yesterday. The tyre/wheel combination according to CoC is: 215/45 R17 87V 7.0 (ODER 7.5)x17 ET 44 under “Notes” to the point tyre/wheel combination is: 195/55 R16 87H 6.0 (ODER 6.5)x16 ET40 Now I am looking for 16″ aluminium complete wheels for the winter. After I have already taken a little look at it now, I have probably found the rim and the matching tire (as a complete wheel) and I am about to order. Problem is n But since this combination is explicitly stated in the CoC there should be no problems? So I mean if exactly the values that are in there are kept. Or am I wrong? With regards to Anta

  • Tyre recommendations 225/70/15

Hello together, I hope someone here can help me. Specifically, it is about tires for the two Caprice. Both have been delivered from the factory on tires in the format 225/70/15. On the one hand there are currently suitable tires on it, however, Yokohama Geolandar, i.e. rather a terrain- rather than a pure-bred road mature. The other still rolls on some cheap US tires (Milestar, probably a cheap brand of a Chinese cheap brand) therefore. I am already intelligent enough to operate all the tire search machines, but the few not off-road tires are then at best some SUV tires, which are then again a bit towards the terrain. Can someone here recommend a tire in the class that is really made primarily for the road or still give some impulses what you could take there? At the moment, can a tire in the class be used primarily for the road. I have the Hankook Dynapro HP RA23 in mind because it probably goes more towards onroad than offroad. Maybe here is someone who can recommend a tire in the desired size or maybe even what can say about the Hankook thing It is not quite as easy to get a reasonable road tire in size as said, because this in the USA common size in Europe was probably used at best with off-road cars.

  • Special winter rims with thicker paint?

Hello, before I buy new rims for my 120d E87LCI EZ 04/11, I tried to clarify to what extent there are special winter rims. I once heard that winter rims have a thicker clear coat protection layer than summer rims. Also the search with Google and here in the forum has provided similar, but just no confirmation but a “I also heard”. A request from Leebmann showed e.g. that this is not true, but they also want to sell other WKR. Background is, that BMW offers in its accessory price lists for the 1 E8x only four aluminium wheels as WKR, in 7Jx17 with 205/50R17 star spokes 256 and V-spokes 141 (the two are also the only 17″er not as 7.5Jx17 for mixed tyres), in 7xJ16 with 205/55R16 only star spokes 140 and V-spokes 229, for a short time also V-spokes 255 and star spokes 151. Leebmann e.g. (but also other, e.g. my local friend) now offer instead of 141 and 140 the Dppel spokes 178 in silver and black as well as V-S I have often read that every aluminium rim is equally suitable for the winter, as long as it is not excessively filigree and therefore difficult to keep clean or has any frills like chron or a polished/glossy twisted rim horn. However, also at RIAL, of which my current winter rims (Davos in 7Jx16) come, some rims have a winter tymbol, some do not. I would currently take the rim V spoke 141, even if 17″ with me. I don’t need to (but I want to, for optical reasons and because I want to exchange for a 123d/130i with a good offer). However, I like the double spoke 178 actually better, it also looks easier to keep clean. The star spoke 178 would of course be even more simple, but I don’t like that at all. I ask this question here, because I received little and hardly any helpful answers in the 1er subforum.

  • Wheels for Kia Rio 1,2 YB

Hello, a question for a friend to the professionals from the forum: Search rims for the Kia Rio 1.2 YB. The car is on the serialalus (185/65 15 88H with 6Jx15 ET46). There are still steel rims available in 6Jx15 H2 ET49. Furthermore, according to COC, there are still allowed: 6Jx16ET49 and 6.5Jx17 ET49 Do you think that it is allowed to drive the 6Jx15 H2 ET49? Do you need a single acceptance from the TÜV because the ET does not exactly match (only with the larger rims ET49)? Does the H2 still play a decisive R That’s nothing in the COC. Greetings gromi

  • Bordstone damage?

Moin, I just discovered this in the photo on my little one, on the back left. Mounting or curb or anything else? I can almost 100% exclude the curb as we have no one-way roads and therefore are not parked on the left, on the other hand you can see that the tire seems to have pressed against the rim otherwise the clear varnish would not be discoloured.. What do you think? PS: the tires were only installed 2 weeks ago.

  • Gripmax Status Per Winter Experiences or used brand tires?

Good day, I’m looking specifically for my E60 530d cheap winter tire. Now probably come many answers from because of “Teures car and at the wrong end save”. The reference is that I hardly move the BMW in winter, but if I drive it nevertheless, I am also on the safe side. I found the following tyres on the Internet: Gripmax STATUS PRO WINTER XL 245/35 R19 Must be, since I already have the rims, 245 35 19. The tyres have a real Wi I drive 4 “China” tyres myself as a summer tire and have not even claimed the ABS since more than 20,000km. Unfortunately, you can’t find a test on the tire, as it is probably quite new on the market. Has any of you had experience with it? Another question would be if it would be better to buy used brand tyres. I was already at the local tire fuzzi, only these have mostly Michellin etc, but d iese are then usually DOT 12 or 13 with 5mm profile for the same price (350€). There would have to be cheap, but new tires “better” or? I would be happy about constructive answers.

  • Tire DOT 3309 4-5mm still driving?

Hello, I got a 2009 Prius. There is a set of summer-like winter tires. Both sets from 2009. So from delivery. Each 195/65/15 KM Stand 86000km. At the moment I have Dunlop M3 some winter tires on it. These still have about 5mm profile. I still have to measure. Had not made any snow and no emergency braking yet 😉 So they seem to be quite good this winter. Except that the loud ones are. 1) do you think I should replace them next winter? As summer tires Bridgestone B250 are present. Profile 4-5mm. Were the dealer with silicone and shine like new;-) No brittle spots. 2) What do you think of them? Replaced? The tyre size is 195/65/15 and thus you get premium brands under 50€ per tire. I actually tend to buy everything new this year. At the moment there is e.g. ContiSport 5 for 43€..Goodyear too. Or do you think I should continue driving? Would you like to be safe in a dangerous situation.. Thank you
