  • Wheel rim bent

Hello, I bought used aluminium wheels on eBay 4. According to the auction description, the rims have “normal signs of wear as can be seen on the pictures”. The tyres are as good as new, because they only drove 1000 km. Yesterday the rims arrived and now I have discovered on 2 rims bent edges. For me these are no normal traces of wear, but 2 flaws, which he did not point out in the description. I am already in contact with the seller, since I This does not want to be left standing, even if he claims that this could be seen in a picture (at least not for me!). Can you continue with these rims without any safety-related risks? What would a repair cost and is it still possible at all?

  • Who has already switched to summer tyres or is planning to do so soon?

Hello municipality, I play with the idea now on the weekend (end of February 2010) to mount the summer tires. Background for me is that I just hate my winter tires: Pirelli Sottozerro 2 225/50/17″: – loud – more consumption – one is even crooked and my steering wheel vibrates. – etc., etc…. If I look at the weather forecast for Nuremberg, from winter comes slowly nothing more. Who of you is already (in Germany or from the weather comparable countries) with the Somm on the way or has to mount them in the next few days? Or do you all wait until Easter? Thank you in advance for your opinions Greetings from Nuremberg

  • Unjustified reminder of tire direct

Hello together, I have a problem with tires-direct, with which I have always been very satisfied with previous deliveries: In November 2010 I ordered 4 winter tyres via giga-reifen.de (which also belong to tires-directly). After a short time it turned out that a tire loses much air. So quickly complained, called, further procedure explained: tires-direct sends a spare tire to my tyre assembler, the tire to be reclaimed I have to pay for the delivered spare tires. I agreed by phone. Unfortunately, I had to go to the hospital for 4 weeks. After my return I got the current status by e-mail: 1. The spare tire was delivered. 2. I could not change it because I was flat. 3. The (new) spare tire was picked up directly after 3 weeks and probably wrongly 4. I immediately wrote by e-mail and fax after my return from the hospital that they should send a new tire, because I would still drive around with the defective one (only then sent the complaint form). 5. Nix heard more. Now yesterday an e-mail from Reifen-Direkt came, that the complaint was not justified because the manufacturer found no defect (clearly, that was also the new maturity). n). I should pay the delivered spare tires (76 €). I immediately wrote back that this is certainly a mistake and described the whole situation again. today’s reaction from Reifen-Direkt: 1. Remind about the invoice! I called the hotline, reached a rather bad German speaking employee and explained the whole thing to him again. He didn’t get that much, but wanted to take care of it. Somehow, however, I suspect that this is not possible. o will be successful… So again the whole matter will be sent by mail with all correspondence and fax logs by mail. So far no reaction. Now my question: What do I do if they continue to warn and drive up with heavy guns? They can’t charge you something that you didn’t get? Thank you for your help!!

  • Winter tires ready in summer after 1 season?

Hello, I still have mom the problem, that I have my winter tyres on rims and the summer tyres so lying without rims. The change costs 48,-, ie now is almost June, and in September I pay again 48,- = 96,- My consideration was now to just leave the wi-tires on this season (are completely new) and to pick up new rims next spring, more is simply not in there now. Do I have to assume that after once wi-tires in summer, these have gone completely crazy? At L power of max 10tkm a year ? Jetz are also on the tire – was also very warm – just as small as threads of rubber (hairpin fine), does this have to do with the heat or is this normal with new tires? Thanks already for your help Gruss Cathi

  • tyre change. Which tires to go

Hello! I’m new to this forum, and I just hope I’m right here I bought a Golf 7 with four-wheel (4motion) last spring. There were summer tyres and winter tyres, which I got in autumn. If the summer tyres were about 8000 km, then the workshop installed the winter tyres and I stored the summer tyres over the winter in the basement. Tomorrow I want to reassemble the summer tyres, the only problem: they were not labeled, the I don’t know which tire was where. It’s “Ventus S1 Evo 2” from Hankook. (With a picture of the tread) The tread of all 4 tires looks the same, but 2 are clearly (about 1.5-2mm) more off. (Probably the front were, right?) I now have 3 questions: Thank you for your answers, Christoph

  • ramos-felgenshop experience

Good evening. I wanted to get new rims and tires. Looking for me on this online shop: http://ramos-felgenshop.com It offers quite cheap rims and tires. However, I find hardly any experience in the net with this dealer. Can jemad say much about it? How serious this online dealer is? Thanks in advance, Dmitri

  • Question about Golf 4 Santa Monica 7×17 ET38 with 225/45 R17

Hello together, I have unfortunately not become quite clever about the search, therefore here is a question about above rims on a golf 4. I bought these rims for my Golf 4 1,9 TDi (96Kw). It is about original VW rims. The rim size incl. ET38 and also the tire size are entered in the old vehicle license. Now my question: Do I have to have this type of rim explicitly registered by TÜV or it is enough that these rims (incl. ET) and tyre size already have a Thank you for your answers.

  • How do I store my tyres correctly?

Hi guys, I hope you can give me a few tips on how to store my summer tires properly. My summer tires have just a summer season behind them and are quite new. Would be a pity if they were somehow damaged during the storage. I always stacked the tires on top of each other and actually it was always good. Since I spent a lot of money on my new tires, I would like to do it right now. Stack, set up next to each other or a rim enbaum? Basement, balcony or garage. What about tyre bags? Must the expensive snap be at all? I read that light and warmth should not be good for the tires. Then rather on the balcony? Maybe I’ll head unnecessarily but would be happy about some good tips.

  • TOMASON rims ? – That’s how it can happen!

For my ML350CDI I chose the perfect rims for me in hard work, e.g. by visiting the Essen Motorshow last winter as well as by a lot of internet research: It should be Tomason TN4 in 10×22 ET40. After the decision I turned to Tomason on 14.02.2010. Everything no problem: the rims are available until the end of March. Since Tomason did not want to register the wheels myself I have the wheels with my tyre handle In the middle of April I asked when the wheels would probably come. The demand at Tomason showed: The rims are available in mid-June. Later I called Tomason myself. There you are not able to mention the delivery date in writing. Only the delivery date mentioned in the middle of June is only 80% safe. The whole was crowned by arrogance and various insolence. Since I now have my 265/45/20 winter tyres n I wanted to ruin it and of course finally wanted to ride with corresponding summer bikes on Monday I went looking for an alternative product. I ended up at the Rim Center Oberberg in Engelskirchen. After a short phone call we arranged for the rim test for Tuesday. Said, done. So I went to Engelskirchen on Tuesday. With very good advice and very friendly treatment and fair price negotiation it is then Lombartho LX Silver became in 10×22 ET55. On the rear axle additional 15mm track distributions were installed. The overall look of my vehicle was greatly improved. The wheels close flush with the fenders. Just as I had wished. Then it went to TÜV Köln. There the installed wheels and track widenings were registered without complaints. Conclusion: At Tomason I was not only called a unwieldy delivery date. The consultation was also wrong. Because the 10×22 ET 40 would have stood over the fenders without a widening of the fenders at the front 15mm.

  • Search ABE or other opinion on Ace (CINCO) C873

I bought rims: Ace C873 7,0×16″ Hole circle: 4-114,3 Pressing depth: 40 Unfortunately, there is no KBA and I don’t find an ABE. Since the rim is probably already a few years old, the manufacturer has not been able to send me a wipe, they are still looking for something in the way. I have already contacted my dealer, but you can’t hope for much of it. That’s why I turn to the masses now. If someone has the same rims and still some good I would be most grateful! Thank you very much.
