  • Valve insert/valve metal body flown out/pressed from car tires

Good day together! I think the hanged picture says everything. Can I put it back in without any problems? Do I need a certain glue or do I keep it that way even when it is properly pressed in again?

  • Golf 6 – New summer tyres R18 searched

Moin, after having run through the search without success I wanted to try it on this way As mentioned in the title, I am looking for a new summer holiday in the dimension 225 40 18 Current I drive the Kuhmo PS71 and I am happy about everything. However, I have the feeling that the tyres are a bit loud and not optimal of sprite consumption. So we come already to what would be important to me. A quiet tire with low fuel consumption and for occasionally sporty driving. Quasi the egg legend Wollmilchsau price I presented myself so about up to max 80 the piece. In the year I drive at least 15,000 km If questions are open answer very gladly otherwise I thank myself for any recommendation

  • Threads / screws clean tyre change

Moin, with an older golf (2012) “gammel” the wheel screws always tight. Of course, I pull on with torque wrench and matching NM. However, my guess is that there are just too much contaminants in/dran. I always brush the wheel screws with a wire brush. However, now I also wanted to “clean” the thread. Can you give me tips whether such things: https://www.amazon.de/KS-Tools-3400065-Messing-Wire%C3%BCrste-10/dp/B014ECBVRA/ref=pd_sbs_2/258-0388587-8683334?pd_rd_w= Lp859&pf_rd_p=dd7cdb0d-7d18-43ba-a06d-a9f4cc6bae51&pf_rd_r=M31C9HQSDFNFKA4TS7WN&pd_rd_r=a396ad72-37d1-4e91-a266-cf624ca8a227&pd_rd_wg=qshGQ&pd_rd_i=B014ECBVRA&psc=1 is enough to get the thread “clean”? Or should it not be brass (too soft?)? Is it worth buying new wheel screws? Thank you and your regards!

  • Tyres / rims for BMW F20 LCi 120i

Hello together, in the coming weeks I would like to get a new vehicle. So far I was 100% sure that it will be the F20 LCi 120i. (I already drove as a rental car and was very satisfied) Now I checked out out of curiosity what a Golf VII GTI would cost and was surprised that there are a lot of offers up to 21.000€. In the comprehensive the golf would be even 300 € cheaper (SF3) My driving profile: working distance 19 km country road (simple) Hard to any city rides/short Go home 5 times a year, 350km each (simple) Presumably it’s easiest to drive the Golf Mal sample to have a direct comparison. Nevertheless, I would like to have your opinion on it. I don’t have a precise plan, but I certainly want to drive the car for at least 3 years. What about the durability of the engines? The consumption seems to be relatively similar and therefore to be negligible. Is the golf more expensive with the workshop costs? I look forward to your answers!

  • Used rims bought, and cleaned

Hey, I greet all of you. Just wanted to tell you something. We needed another set of rims for our thickness, as the current ones are equipped with WR. After some searching (also consider whether it should become new rims) we decided for used ones, also 18 inches with 245 tyres. Then found in our radius also some, 5 pcs. a brand new (replacement wheel) looked at, price negotiated, and taken with. Damages are small, but completely ok. d was so well, today I made it for cleaning. What should I say, from minute to minute I had to grin more. Is already great, used for ́n narrow € bought, 2-3 hours cleaned, and then such a result. I am fully satisfied. (by the way, the SRs on it are from 2018, approx. 7mm profile) Greetings Ebby

  • Screw in the tire still repairable?

Hello, on today’s ride the RKS is registered via control display. My rear right tyre had instead of 2.1 only 1.5 bar. Fortunately, I could fill up the air at a gas station about 10 minutes later. At the later tyre inspection in the garage I could then find a screw which has drilled into the tread. What do the experts say, is the tyre still repairable or is the screw too far on the outer flank? The air loss is rather creeping about 0, 1 bar per day. In total, the tyre has now been moved to the city with maybe 10 KM with 1.5 instead of 2.1 bar. The tyre is about 4 years old (Winter tire Dunlop Winter Sport 5 205/60 R16 H) and only nearly 10,000 KM run, repair would probably still make sense economically.

  • Different model generations on one axis

Hello, had an accident with our leasing car, which was paid by the opposing insurance. A tire had to be replaced (1 year old). On the vehicle are privately procured Michelin Crossclimate mounted, the new replaced tire is the new model generation Michelin Crossclimate 2. According to Michelin the rubber compound and the profile was changed. Even if it is allowed by law, a mixed tire is not recommended according to ADAC and the old Crossclimat e is also available in principle. Furthermore, I would like to sell the tyres after the 2 year leasing and there are 4 identical tyres certainly better. Before I turn to the car dealership, does someone have experience whether one is entitled to an identical tyre replacement or alternatively two new tyres for an identical axle?

  • King-Meiler NF3

So, tires are on it, on the Cruze. 205/60R16, such wide rollers wants to see GM on the compact vehicle. Mhhh…. Hinghaus wrote it already with the product description. These tires are rather suboptimal for the flatlandtiroler, because the 10mm high profile blocks are very soft. We want to take a look at the “something” louder roll-off noise, just sounds like a tractor -FORTSCHRITT just- At the autumnal 27°C at present, the tires drive arg diffuse and soft, spongy. I think that But I wanted to. On the other hand, my full-year tyres, Semperit SpeedGrip 2 feel like “Ultra-High-Performance-Tires”.* The car stops for the first time, two-wheeled cars are simply much more practical for everyday life. So let’s say that the tyres could even be mounted, who would have believed it… So now enough for the first time, from the King-Miler NF3 in 205/60R16, where there are so many prices 2. 3., or even 4. brands. you know: quote: I am “a danger to me and others”* Semperit Speedgrip 2. mileage: 40,000 km. 4.0mm and 5.5mm residual profile. So go at least 2, 3 summer season.

  • Tyre damage/guarantee?

Hello, my question is actually not specific to VW Touran, but I didn’t find any area in the forum where the question really fits. If there is a better area, please move. We have a plate on our touran at the front left. We bought the tyres about three months ago from the VW dealer. I found the hole and can’t really explain how this can come at the place in the tires, why I ask myself whether a material is missing The hole is located on the inside of the tyre, just in the area of the profile, exactly at a point where a small elevation is due to production. I upload a picture from the spot (red marking) on the tyre. Before I contact the dealer tomorrow, I would like to have an opinion about the damage of someone who has more idea than I do. Can someone say something about it? Greetings Ben
