  • Winter tires with rims for Toyota Yaris 1.3 Cool and Peugeot 207 CC – where to buy and which to take

Hello dear car professionals, as soon winter is approaching, I own a quite new Toyota Yaris, I have to try to get winter tyres on rims. Since I have no idea at all, I ask here. My concern: 4 winter tyres with rims (is smart, then I don’t have to have the summer tyres mounted by the rims,or ?). I want the 4 tyres to fit perfectly on my Toyota Yaris 1.3 Cool, have no bad quality, but also not overly expensive and no frills Nack! Are there shops where the price is simply much cheaper than if I go to any tyre workshop and buy there? Could you tell me exactly the tires + rims, which price performance are great and where I can order them how? Furthermore, my buddy for his Peugeot 207 CC is also looking for winter tyres with rims. Can you also call me the right one here? Is there a discount if you buy the winter tyres with rims right now for the Toyota + Peugeot ? For your advice. If you still need any data from my car for the tires, please get in touch.

  • The huge difference between good and bad winter tyres

When I bought my (used) Golf V in February, Eurostar winter tires were mounted. Relatively new tires, with decent profile. Then, despite correct air pressure, the handy and safe golf went swimming and irony like a 70-square swing. In wet weather it slipped away early, in the snow every smallest slope meant an adventure, which mostly failed. Brakes was lucky and the side stop in curves felt like that of summer tires. Then I had my nose full and ka And oh miracle: Suddenly the golf is suitable for winter. On Christmas holidays in the Alps you could easily start on snow-covered slopes, braking is perfect and the side stop is perfect. On dry road there are hardly any differences to the summer tire. What I want to say: Once again I had the experience that good brand winter tires cheap lowprice-R The price difference for a set may be 60€, but this 60€ is worth as little as anything. People, good tires bring it! Chris

  • Dunlop 3D totally bad in snow

Hello, there is quite a lot of snow with us (about 15 – 20 cm). I drive a 5 Series BMW E39 535i with completely new Dunlop Winter Sport 3D, size 225/50-16 (DOT 4009, about 2000 KM running). I couldn’t drive on the closed snow cover at all, the car went away on slight climbs to the side and straight went nothing at all. Isn’t it normal, right??? I had the same tires on my 3 Series, but as 205 Series 16″, with DOT from 2007. With the car I had so to say no problems and was thrilled. Both on snow, wet and dry road. With the 5 I even have problems with dry road, as the ASC constantly intervenes. Has anyone had similar experiences that the Dunlop D3 from 2009 are somehow different? Greeting Frank

  • Tyres slightly dented

Hello first of all, I just registered =) I slipped away in a curve due to the snow and the corresponding smoothness with my Audi 80 B4. I couldn’t do anything at all. I then clapped against the curb at about 10-15 km/h, engine went off, but could also start immediately again. The wheel caps just fell off, but the two left tyres (both front and rear) at the lower side where I slipped against the curb are now easy I was told by a former car mechanic that this would not be a problem and I could go on with it without any problems. Would you agree with this or do you think there are dangers? I honestly wouldn’t know what should happen now.. Hope you know what to say, dear greetings and a happy after Christmas Benny

  • Which test results should I follow?

Moin! Got 6N2 and wanted to get me new rims with tyres. Well my problem. I wanted to go a bissel after Stiftung Warentest.http://www.test.de/…/ But now I don’t know what to go for. My current tyre size is exactly between small cars and medium class size (185/55 R14) On the new rims would have to be 195er on it. I now turn to the small car table for the new or the middle class table, because there the tyre size with the tested Oh yes, I had asked another question in a different thread, nobody could answer me so far, maybe one of us knows more about it: There is a tyre.com shop nearby, so I wanted to order new rims. What do I have to consider?? Do I need an expert report, do I have to go to the Tüv or ABE or wat I know?? Does not want to deal with the matter very much, and do not have a particular idea of why I need what, so a short antwor t great, what I should pay attention to when buying. The rims are not particularly large, so they won’t get out of the wheel box (hope :-))http://www.reifen.com/…/search.do?… The same is also available in 16″. What can you think of own production of Reifen.com?? Thanks for help kuka

  • Cheap tires for 225/40 18

Hello, currently P Zero Asimetrik 225/40 R 18 tires “run”. On an A3 with 170hp TDI. Since the backs are almost at the end, and the front also not for long life, I now thought to get 4 new ones. The P Zero costs approx. 130 euros per piece. In the net I also found “Billigraffen” for 60 euros the piece. They make the tires really miserable as the price suggests? So I found the P Zeros not bad, vehicle has 40,000km (1 winter in between) and behind are So 20K have lifted the front. Since I don’t really know about tires history, I’m looking for advice here: Can jmd recommend cheap tires in size? If so which ones? Or rub off very quickly? What have you done for experiences? Or should I just pay the high price, are the tires the value??? thank you

  • Extra Load – Disadvantages?

I am looking for new summer tyres in 235/35 19 and have limited my search so far to the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric and the Dunlop SP Sport 9000. Both are unfortunately only available in the XL version for my size, which disadvantages brings with it “Extra Load” regarding consumption, rolling noise etc. (comfort plays a subordinate role in this case, since 19″

  • Comparison test Michelin PS2 – Goodyear F1 Asymmetric

Hello Autofans, I am looking for comparison tests in magazines or on the net, where two tires compete : Michelin Pilot Sport 2 and Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric. If there is also the ContiSportContact3, it is quite ok, but absolutely it is not necessary. If you know such comparison tests on the Internet, please I for a link. If you have such tests at home in magazines, please I for pictures or scans of them. It will help me fantastic! Thank you very much, Mfg, Der Bel cherries

  • Question on tyre use

Hello to the round The following question concerns me and I hope for an answer, since I find nowhere in the net anything about it. My W 211 is equipped with mixed tyres 245 and 265, Continental Sport Contact 2. Is this tire direction bound?, – I know of course that you do not change the wheels from left to right. At the moment the lettering “Continental” runs contrary to the direction of travel. An enjoyable episode by the way, which I have never experienced before! Mei n Command APS mucked and I drove to the friendly one because the warranty is still valid. When I picked up the vehicle, I was told: We have the vehicle battery dissected, because the old something weakened. Your Navi software was no longer up to date (version 5.0). We inserted the current software 7.0. Then we updated the engine control, which is of course a guarantee service. My question about the costs then surprised me: Nothing!! All a nice rest of Sunday.

  • Do I need a Tüv report???

Heyhey I have the following situation: I own a VW Polo 6n and have summer tyres lying here, without rims. It says 185/55 R14 80H. Now I would like to buy a set of simple aluminium wheels so that I do not always have to reassemble the summer and winter tyres on the one steel wheel set that I have. So I have looked at the documents mienes Polos and I can buy the following rims in the documents: 6JX14H2 ET43. the sentence at the end: IF WERKSITIG MONTIERT!!! What did it have to do with it? I looked once and found out after my research that this means that I can only use original VW rims. Is that true? Then I have read something from an expert report, what you need. Do I need this expert report even if I just buy original VW rims? I want to spare myself the extra weight of the vehicle. Can I also buy other rims without having these gleaned rims. h has to show at the TÜV? Is it not enough in certain cases the test report, which one gets to the tires? If I buy a steel rim set, must this original from VW come? Is there also such a test report for steel rims, which one gets when buying rims? So now I have holes with questions. I hope you can give me helpful answers Thank you MfG Michi
