  • Uncertain regarding speed index summer tyres 205/55/R16 + correct decision?

Hello, in the registration certificate part 1 is a tyre size, which is soon no longer used than summer tyres: 225/40 R18 86W. I thought about changing to 16 inches, more precisely 205/55 R16 91V. Both original car manufacturer rims. Now I have read that you can not drive with a lower speed index in the summer than indicated in the registration certificate part 1. Is this true and can/must have the registration certificate part 1 changed? he does not drive the car anyway as H, but must take afaik V due to first registration before 05/2009 and the regulation “safety surcharge”. 2. Concerns = tyre choice The decision is currently made on the Hankook Ventus Prime3 K125. Are there any reasons that would speak for nen Pirelli Cinturato P7 Blue, Continental ContiPremiumContact 5, Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance, Dunlop Sport BluResponse or Michelin Primacy 3? Important would be comfort, little noise in the interior and handling s as well as brakes on dry road.

  • Only front wheels replace at 6mm rear and Dot No. 0512?

Hello, just arrived in the forum because I have a question about new tyres. I also tried the search but didn’t really find it. First of all, we have a Renault Scenic built in 2012 with the following tyres: Continental 205/55 R17 and have 6.5mm at the front and 6mm at the rear on the summer tyres. Now it’s so the front right side of the tyre is a crack and we have to replace this tire. That at least. r, but I’m not sure if it makes sense to replace all 4 in terms of age, profile depth and safety with too much difference in the profile depth between front and back or if it’s enough to replace only the front one this year. And then next/next summer also the (now)behind. We are little riders with yearly under 10tkm, if that’s also interesting. Oh and as a tire I had the Vredestein Sportrac 5XL in mind, maybe also jema can And say something to them. Thank you very much in advance!

  • Which tyre sizes are recommended for winter?

Hello together, I own a Renault Clio II 1.6 16v and got the original aluminium rims of Renault (15 inch) when buying the vehicle, which ran on all-weather tyres. For the summer I now got a new set of tyres and rims. I want to drive the original aluminium rims of Renault only in the winter and wanted to buy me a proper set of winter tires for this. Now to my actual question: Which tire size should I have for the winter tires I was thinking that I would get the Dunlop SP Winter Response 2 in size 195/50 R15. Unfortunately I am not quite sure if the flank height is not too low. Other options would be 185/55 R15 or 185/60 R15. The vehicle is not very large and it was equipped with the sports suspension from the Renault Clio II Sport 2.0 16v. That means that the car is already lower than the original Renault Clio II 1.6 16v and thus would be tyres in summer I ride the Autec Fanatic 16 inch rims in brilliant silver polished on the Dunlop Sport Maxx RT (205/45 R16). I would be happy about a little help and would also like to hear the experiences on the topic of you. Greetings Ravennwest

  • Experience with laminareifen.de / Retreaded tyres

Hello, I would like to make retreaded winter tires on my little Peugot. Unfortunately, as a student you don’t have that much money and since I don’t drive faster than 130 km/h anyway and almost only in the city I would like to try it with the inexpensive variant. Has one of you experienced with it? With most of you the car is probably more a hobby, but the one or other on his winter car has retreaded on it. With Lamina tires there is the maturity n with TÜV. Can you rely on the tires? With the Ebay reviews many good, but also some bad ones are present, unfortunately can not make me a real picture of the product. Has someone ordered before at the shop? They seem to deliver very quickly. Best regards Anna

  • What do you think of a “Billigrape” Nexen CP661?

I asked my tyre dealer here for 4 summer tyres m. Assembly and coming at 273 €. That’s, I think, a Vredestein 175/65R15 84. ALternatively, I have now looked into the Internet in such a portal and find there a Nexen CP661 for 36.49 incl. shipping. Request with a local assembly partner revealed that there was still 60 € for assembly (on aluminium rims m. balancing) to add. Is of course already a tack cheaper. But should you do that? Greetings Christoph

  • Strategic advice tyre purchase

Hello together, since I only have my first car for two months (Ford Focus MK3 with Facelift), I would need your advice on the following situation: My 18″ summer tyres are close to their retirement. The tire at the front left is felt in some places less than a millimeter before marking the minimum profile depth. One says that from October anyway the winter tyres should be on it, why I don’t quite know what to do. Since I haven’t had the car for a long time, I can still who estimate how quickly the rest of the profile will wear off. I drive quite a lot: about 850 km/week, over again highway, hardly faster than 150 km/h I see some variants now proceeding: 1) Buy summer tires now and store them after a month already for wintering. 2) Drive the tires until the end of September and then buy new summer tires in the spring. 3) Pull up the winter tires now and then buy new summer tires in the spring. safety for me is the absolute priority, because I do not want to take any risk. I just want to avoid buying new tyres now, if it also matures in half a year. I am aware that no one can give a safe assessment here, but would be grateful for a general advice. By the way, the tyres are 235/40 18″ Michelin Pilot Sport 3. I would like to change to the Primacy series soon. ank schonmal und vielen Grüße!

  • Wrong tire choice?

I drive an AMG SLS GT. First I had Dunlop Sport Maxx on it, then the Continental Sport Contact 6. With both tyres the driving behaviour of the car was top. Now I had the Hankook Ventus Evo 2 on the rear axle, because this tire comes according to the test in the Sport car just behind the much more expensive Pirelli. But the tire was not tested on an AMG SLS or another comparable vehicle. Now “the car feels extremely unstable, reacts sluggishly to Le The car takes a moment until it reacts to the steering movement and then almost “overproportionally” follows. A pass is so, compared to before, almost adventurous. Can it be that this Hankook tire is simply unsuitable for my vehicle, or would I have had to change all 4 tires, even though the Conti’s are still good at the front?

  • All-year tyre selection + Which test “trust” ?

I’m looking for all-year tyres for my VW Fox – a corresponding pre-selection was already met due to a different topic, which also referred to Berlin. The following candidates: Nokian WeatherproofFalken AS200Michelin CrossClimateHankook Optimo4SVredestein Quatrac5Goodyear Vector To clarify the questions directly before, rather the normal driver with about 3000 km a year. Where i ch currently believe those are even set a little high, so more or less occasional drivers. Now the tires cut off somehow with test of Autobild and Co in some places extremely differently. If you click directly on the tire name, you end up with the results of a dealer which lists several tests. On which tests can you rely now and on which not ? *head scratch* Some say so the others so… =( Thank you =)

  • Tyre insurance

A short report on the subject of tire insurance. I bought tires for a long time always with the inclusion of a tire insurance, Is so, you don’t make it point you really need them always and vice versa. Also, an extra price per bike of 8 euros for two years does not make the buck fat. Now before last winter I bought me 4 new tires over Giga tires, about a week after change this year from summer to winter was suddenly right my tire flattened. On to the tank, are only 100 But the tire was still flat for two minutes. Wanted and found, clear puncture in the flank. Replacement wheel on it took photos and placed an ad to the police. Then on Mondays the insurance company informed, copies of the purchase documents and the ad sent along with my photos, the police had made their own again. After about a week I had not had the tire yet, because Giga mei In addition to a bit of waiting time, the new tyre only cost me the change at the tyre dealer, with disposal 17 Euros. Therefore, I can only take every guess when buying new tyres, always take out the tire insurance. Because the normal car insurance pays only in case of theft and not in case of vandalism !! 4 x 8 € = 32 € rounded up, for this I don’t even get a new tyre, whether summer or winter. z 2 x 225/40 ZR17 and 2 x 245/40zR17 are worth it again with me in spring, are about 500 to 600 Euros for the date. But everyone as he wants u d can
