  • Raise rims scraping / denting after tires…

Hello together,in advance, of course, I know that you clean your rims in advance and I should have seen the problem earlier, but that doesn’t change the fact. So please stay with the topic, thank you. In mid-April 2016 I had new tyres with rim protection mounted on my original Audi rims. At the pick-up I saw that the rims are dirty (probably a grease oa.) from the. Only after about a month I then mounted the rims on my car and did not It was still the fat on the edges after several washings in the wash road, which didn’t bother me any further (because of the rim protection of the tires you couldn’t see that much anyway, only when you looked more closely you noticed that it didn’t belong to the tire/the rim). Now it is that under the fat apparently were hidden rickets and maces and these only now when the fat goes off so slowly to the appearance / are visible. Now w I should like to know if, after the long time (>4 months) of the company that pulled the tires on the rims, one can still account for it at all, or if that is already “priority” or so to speak? In addition, there is the question whether one can prove that somehow the mistake was made by the company (I can say 100% that it did not happen to me, say Randstein-Schramme oä., that is unfortunately no proof…)? But it can only come from there. Thanks already once.

  • Buying Montiermaschine What do you think???

Day together would like to ask you for your opinion so I would like to buy my tires online because I don’t value brands because there is a lot of money saved. Now unfortunately all tyre dealers in my area require min 20 Euro extra for third party tyres. So pay the cheapest supplier 60 euro plus old tires for mounting and balancing. Rebalancing costs 2.50 plus weights per bike. Now my consideration Montiermaschine buy myself I would buy a Weber classic 2 years old with added assembly poor for 500. As they dissolve your Schrauber AG. What would you do?? Mfg and thank you in advance Marco

  • BBS CH-R 20-inch with 245/30 R20 tyres

Hello together, I am currently looking for a suitable set of rims for my Audi A4 Avant B8, 2.0 TFSI. I know exactly what type of rim it should be. I now only have a headache with the possible dimensions of the rims. For my thickness there should now be the BBS CH-R 20″ in matt/black. As soles of shoes it should be 245/30 R20 90Y (Which manufacturer is still in clarification!). Now my question about the rims. There are possibilities for the B8 in 20″: – 8.5 x 20 ET 30 – 8.5 x 20 ET 40 or – 9.0 x 20 ET 25 Do you have useful tips which rim widths come over with the press-in depth “duft”? I have not yet installed a chassis, since I was advised from the close circle of friends, first to complete the topic with the tyres and then to adapt the chassis. (What makes sense in itself!) I am especially not in agreement with the ET, since after the chassis installation I don’t want it to look like my car is “eating” the tyres or “vers I’d like to get everything done flush with the fender. If someone has had some experience here, or if they could tell me what to choose from the “FF”, I’d be really grateful. Best regards.

  • Difference between H V and W tyres?

Hello, I have been wondering for some time what difference tires have if they have a different speed index. That you can drive faster with a W tire than with a V tire is clear to me. Do the tires also differ in comfort, weight, rolling noise, wear etc.? I ask because I need new tires and a tyre set with a V index is 40€ cheaper than a set with an H index. My car drives only 180 tips.

  • Workshop Damage – Wrong tool for wheel nuts and tire pressure sensor damaged

Hello, I recently had my vehicle for rim preparation (again a completely different story). Theme 1: When I was on my way home after pick-up (all tyres hit 3.5 bar – normal would be 2.1-2,4), suddenly the tyre pressure control light went on. Left back no signal any more. I contacted the workshop from home to find out if something had been noticed during the rim repair. The answer first made me a little speechless: “Yes, we did after the tire repair. end assembly saw that the sensor was broken. But I thought that was already it. We did not dismantle it during the work, but just glued it on and had the tire re-assembled at the end.” Question: I took a photo of the amaturation board in the workshop when the vehicle was handed over … still without an error message. Would the workshop have had to inform me? What requirements can I assert, especially since I have the extra effort to dismantle the tire just again and Topic 2: If you have changed a tyre, whether in the workshop or at home, it is necessary to fold the wheel nut again after a certain driving distance. Unfortunately, this has failed with me because I have not even got my nut set at all. The wheel nuts have/had SW21 6-kant. I have always taken a 13/16″ nut (approx.20,6 mm) so far; it has fit “absorbent”. Also a newly bought wheel nut does not fit. The nut (picture in the appendix) was then given to me after an increasingly unfriendly conversation. For me, this is a 6-spline and completely unsuitable for a 6-kant nut. Question: Would the workshop have had to point out the use of this tool, because perhaps the correct one was no longer suitable at the beginning of the repair? Who now comes for the cost of a new tool? n Set of wheel nuts on? Cost 20x approx. 11 $/h plus shipping, inch, VAT Sorry for the essay and thank you very much for your advice in advance.

  • Tyre service has 3!!! wheel screws torn off, now vibrates brake

Hey, about a month ago I had two new tires put on my rims, when mounting the wheels, the tyre service pulled off three screws. The remaining 7 screws, which the tyre service took off and on again (well, of course with impact wrench) I hardly got off (must put on my gun), the other 3 were virtually loose and I could turn them off by hand, 2-3 thread pulls stuck in the hub, separated from the rest of the wrench. Aube. I drove like this for two weeks (retirement service said, would be okay, since the rests of the screws still packed a few thread turns), and made a complaint with the tire service. A friend of the mechanic from the tire service then drilled out the three screws two weeks ago (didn’t want to get out with the left turnout) and cut the three threads to/from/from. When (de)mounting the wheel screws now squeak with these three threads – but keep bombing. Now to the actual problem. Since the three screws were torn off, my brake is jerking/vibrating/beats off the wheel about 30kmh. Can the brake disc have moved through the about two weeks driving with 2 and “three half” wheel screws? Or stupid coincidence? The tire service said the brake/brake disc has nothing to do with it, but this is mainly fixed by the wheel screws, right? I thought at first that the tyre service might not have properly weighed the wheels and it would be combined with it. But I have it on both my summer and winter bikes. I have attached a video of the noise/vibrating during braking, can be heard at the end. On Saturday the mechanic will look again – but had taken the brake apart again in the meantime and saw if the coverings were bent, something came in between or something – but nothing was to be seen and there is still a problem. Thank you for any advice.

  • Inexplicable damage – Hankook S1 Evo2 inside

Hello together, in spring 2016 I bought four new BMW aluminium wheels and four new Hankook tyres. Hazards are on mixed tyres with VA 225/40/18, HA 255/35/18. The wheels are mounted on a BMW 325d Kombi (E91) with rear drive in summer, driving profile 90% highway straight out, rest inside. The wheels were driven about 60tkm, the rear had to be replaced before. Now I present an inexplicable damage to the inside of the left side of the wheel. n front wheel fixed. This expression does not exist all around, but almost half of the circumference. When driving, I did not notice anything about it, there were no significant extreme situations when driving or the like. The right tyre is absolutely flawless, even the rest of the profile of the affected tyre looks evenly. Basically, I was also very satisfied with the Hankooks except for this expression. Now the question, how can this happen? Too bad about the still good tire. In 2017, the car had received a chassis revision with brand parts and subsequent lane adjustment at the best address in the city. So I’m closing on the tire myself? Do you think it’s a good idea to write to Hankook? Thank you.

  • Protect rims from curb

I have a question I have never seen a solution to. Maybe someone knows what. If I park on a curb, the right mirror sinks down to the rear rim, and everything is chic. But what do I do at night? I have no light and sometimes see nothing in the mirror (because it is dark). Especially in winter this is terrible. I drive a 20 inch rim with 30 cross-section. There is not much rubber for protection. Someone knows a Lösu. ng?

  • 275 full-year tires for CLS, are there those in this size at all?

Hello, I drive a Mercedes CLS 350 with the following tyres: Conti Sport Contact 2 front: 245 / 40 R 18, 93 Y rear: 275 / 35 R 18, 95 Y …live in Münsterland…… should mean little snow and so on. …drive p.a. only 4500 kilometers …of which in the winter months max. 1500 kilometers The effort 2 x tire change in the year is so great for me in the above mentioned conditions. Since I can not find all-year tires in the above sizes my question: Isn’t there the size? Can you also 2 at the rear instead of 275 45 he use, asked in a layman’s way with distance discs or how does that work???? (I would rather make me smart here before I go to the tyre trade. )
