Hello I have with my so-tires biggest problems with wet or rain!! Since about 8 tsd KM the Hankook Ventus S1 Evo are still good from the PRofil and also even expired. This is only now really noticeable to me – I would say that still about 2/3 of the profile stands – so it can not lie there. The car also turns when driving or accelerates full can through and in curves I really notice how the car slips away – in net I find off he only quite good reviews – after that I also decided for this tire! What can that be about? Tire pressure ok – track and everything fits – so I don’t understand at all! What do you think? Thank you Steeve

Winter tyres 205 55 R16 asymmetrical profile
Hi, looking for new winter tyres for my father. His car is a Renault Laguna II Grandtour 1.9 dci. The current winter tyres Hankook W310 are both of age and profile (approx. 3mm) at the end. Since the tyres on the Laguna II like to form sawtooth, no directional profiles are possible. Therefore, the selection in 205 55 R16 94 V or H is relatively modest:Hankook Winter iCept Evo2 W320Pirelli W210 Sottozero IINokian WR A4Nexen Winguard SportToyo Snowprox S 954 Hankook W 320: The predecessor Hankook W310 was OK for the first two winters, after which the side guidance in wet and traction on ice decreased significantly. Positive was high mileage and low noise. The W320 seems to be minimally better, but also with wet weakness according to various tests. Pirelli Winter 210 Sottozero II: Previously my favorite according to tests AMS: “Plus: Good driving characteristics and short braking distance on dry road, very good wet properties, little rolling resistance. nus: Moderate traction and too long braking distance on snow.E Nokian WR A4: Unfortunately there is almost no information about this tire. Therefore I would be grateful about experiences. Nexen Winguard Sport: Many conflicting experiences about this tire. Unfortunately I did not find any meaningful tests. Toyo Snowprox S 954: The same as with Nokian WR A4… I did not consider remaining Asian models. In itself he does not need a test winner tire. Area totally fails, as for example Hankook with side guide. He should not be too loud either, because the Laguna is relatively weakly insulated. Greetings

Energy efficiency class / impact on consumption Michelin PS3 / PS4
Hello guys, I am an anti-cyclical tyre buyer (have bought my winter tyres this summer) and am currently planning the new purchase of summer tyres. I drive in the Har about 45,000km, of which 25,000km on winter tyres and correspondingly 20,000km on summer tyres. Since I have always had very good experiences with Michelin tires so far, it should be Michelin tires again now on my 320d. And that is I will drive the size 225 / 40 / 18 all around. I now have the prices from the Michelin Pilot Sport 3 (€93) and Pilot Sport 4 (€105) compared: The PS4 would therefore be 48€ more expensive than the tyre set. Now I have seen that the PS3 has the energy efficiency class E, whereas the PS4 have the energy efficiency class C. What does that matter with a diesel at 100km in terms of fuel savings? With my driving performance I would assume that the tyres will last at least 40,000 km, i.e. 2 years. For me, the higher purchase price of the PS4 is justified, but I also suspect that the driving characteristics on wet (both class A) are probably even better for the PS4. If I would be happy about your experiences (doesn’t have to be Michelin, I am interested in the general difference whether this is really measurable in terms of fuel consumption.) Greetings Philipp

Needed help for the summer tire selection
Good morning, unfortunately I did not find any results in the search and hope that I am in the right subforum. The tire is needed for the following vehicle: G7 GTI/PP 225/40 R18 Sporty driving only at the weekend Important to me is the grip on wetness, the braking distance and the rolling noise Currently the Bridgestone Potenza S001 is mounted ex factory. With this I am not at all satisfied and is therefore sold with approx. 7.5mm 4000km further. i wet, no quick cornering possible, while by speeding from 60 to 140km/h the ESC intervention lights up with jumping tires etc. Currently I have 2 favourites: Michelin Pilot Sport 4 (Favorite 1) Continental Sport Contact 5 Favorit 2 I am happy for other open greetings

Pressure loss on individual tires: what to do?
Hello, the history (short version): – Thursday evening full fuelled for a bigger ride and tyre air pressure on all wheels to the standard value (fuel cover) + 0,2 bar brought, tyre pressure control (via the ABS/ESP wheel speed measurement) reset – Friday 500 km driven, car is driven until Sunday (outside) – Sunday to refuel, shortly after comes the tyre pressure indicator light, so to the next tank and everything tested: three tyres OK, only the tire is left on 1.4 instead of 2.4 bar air pressure?! – I filled up the standard pressure + 0.2 bar again, examined the tire from the outside for visible damage, waited briefly, checked again pressure: everything OK. Tyre pressure control reset – I drove carefully and at moderate speed to the test the first 50 km of the 500 km return road to the next big city, in order to check there a possible pressure loss and thus to calculate whether I still come home meaningfully and safely. At the Ü test: everything OK?!? No pressure loss at all. I drove the rest of the track first carefully and then increasingly normally to the end. I also had over 200 on it for a short time. No problems. Tyre pressure control showed nothing anymore. On the way there I was still surprised how nice the summer bikes run since the force at the speed near the vmax. It is about original Audi 17″ rims and matching tyres DOT 2007: Dunlop SP Sport 9090 – 225/45 ZR 17 91 Y How should I deal with this experience now? Is the rear left tyre defective? What should I do?

Damage to tyre tread NEW
Hello people, after I had joined on a similar topic regarding damage of Lauflächen and no answers came I open here a new one. The damage picture is also similar, as described by mongobongo. The gravel may have caused it, I totally exclude because the picture occurs both on summer bikes and on winter bikes, namely right on the outside and left on the inside. Actually, the flipping could also be excluded. I am a “soft” driver. And if it has happened on slippery ground, there is no damage. There is still a special feature to the tyre damage. With mowed winter bikes (originally factory equipment) a heulton arises during the gelled light braking (entry into the carport). If the summer bikes are mounted, the sound does not arise. For me, only a faulty axle adjustment (also the announcement of an experienced tyre service man) remains. hler” after my memory after a brake service (with brake disc change).

Tyre size
Moin, I would have a small problem with a vehicle registration in my vehicle license. I have extended my fleet with a New Beetle Revival. Now I have the problem that he has registered the tyre size 255/30 ZR 18 in the vehicle license for the rear. On the rims, however, currently 255/35 ZR 18 are mounted. Now, of course, I have problems with HU. Current status is an employee of the inspection center TÜV Nord gives me a winter employment and indeed all tire manufacturers abt Could be that this size was made and taken out of the program again, his words. Currently I have several named manufacturers off the phone, no possibility to get 255/30 with 18 inches. Does one of you have an idea whether there is this size on the German market at all (once) or a wrong entry in the vehicle letter/scheme. Thank you for your answers Jens

How much does a tire wave cost?
Hello, I ordered a set (4x summer tires) of new tyres over the internet. They arrived today. I went over to ATU and asked what they wanted me to do to change the tyres? (so, winter tires down, summer tires on top and balanced out). Then the seller meant, since the tyres were not bought at ATU, it would be about 90€!!! That’s a little too much for me. Or is that the normal price? (but it seems extremely expensive to me..) What do you have? for experiences? And where? Thank you for your help

What’s wrong with the measurement protocol vs. tire wear?
Take a look at the attachments and tell me if the wear is really like this with the azuf print on the protocol. The measurement is from May 2011. After the measurement I only changed the coupling rods and had no curb remplers or the like. Chassis is Kayaba Exel G + Eibach 45/30. QL, support joints are play-free and SSK are new MEYLE HD. Shortly before the measurement incl. chassis installed. Air pressure was always between 2.2 and 2.3 bar. the front wheels. So purely theoretically too much negative crash, a little bit more. As a comparison a picture like the tires on the outside look like.http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/267/picture008b.jpg/http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/33/picture002ac.jpg/http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/401/image007wo.jpg/ I have to measure again before I yodel down the almost new winter tires or is this simply the negative side taste of a low set in the Astra? Running performance TO the Verm ssung about 710tkm, tires in total so ~25-30tkm.
