  • Warranty for defective tyres?

Hello everyone! First of all I’m new here in the forum and need a sash! It’s about a guarantee for unusable summer tires. I bought the car 2 weeks ago. Test drive I did then on winter tires, because the car had no summer tires. The dealer promised me to make good used summer tires on it. So far so good. Said, done. The matures were totally in the ass, but also different (on the front axle). I noticed it. only when I picked up the car from the dealer. I immediately called the dealer and complained. ( Different tyres in front, vibration while driving, the right door didn’t close, by ZV. The dealer agreed to put other tyres on it and replace the door lock. Now he put new tyres on it (used ). At first I didn’t notice anything, except that the tyres were a bit louder, like with my old car. (I drove first week nic It’s a lot and almost only in the city center. In time the noise level has increased a bit ( or a lot ). Even if you drive in the city, you can hear it clearly. Now I have looked at the tires closely today. Shock! The tires are totally porous and according to DOT number: Front B.j. 2001, back 2006 ( but are also porous )! Either I was blind when I bought ( have still looked at them ) or the tires have disassembled after 2 weeks. And 11 years are of course also hammer! claim on tyre change ( warranty ) or the dealer sends me into the desert! Here are a few more pictures!

  • Aluett type 01 7,5×17 LK5/100 ET 35 on Golf IV FSI, is that possible?

Moin, since my actual rims for my summer tires from last winter took an irreparable pothole damage, I have to buy now inevitably new ones. The tires are Conti SportContact 2 215/45 R17 91H. The current rims are probably the slightly older and no longer available (also not eBay) Arbet III 17. 7.5×17 LK 5/100 ET 35. As it seems there is no longer even the manufacturer. So the practically the same data as the Aluett rim. Since I I’d like to pick them up. Now it says on the A.T.U. page, however, that the permissible tyre sizes 205/50R17, 205/45R17 and 225/45R17 are. However, the part report also mentions 215/45 R17 in the Golf IV. But with a lot of clauses I don’t get through as a layman so well. So my question to the experts: Can I use these rims with my almost new summer tyres without having to make any modifications to the car? Or on what must I do? This is the first time that I am dealing with the purchase of aluminium wheels myself. That’s why I’m still quite unneeded. Thank you very much in advance!

  • Many weights – is that normal?

I just had winter soaps (Pirelli Sottozero) drawn onto my new original Audi rims (from the auction house). I noticed that the fitter used many balancing weights. With a rim e.g. rich 15 (in words fifteen) pieces. 10 pcs. on one side, 5 pcs. oblique opposite. Is that normal? Greeting Swallow

  • New rims sold at Ebay, problems now with buyers

Hello people, I’m new here and I have an urgent need: I sold a new set of rims last week at ebay.Model no matter. the rims were brand new, no traces of use and only for photographing taken from the carton.Really new!!! can also be testified. the buyer paid with paypal and I sent the rims. when the buyer received the rims he wrote in first mail: all rims have strong scratchers on the polished outer bed and deep scratchers on the inside I then wrote that this cannot be absolutely and I would like to have pictures of it. in second mail he then wrote that he only opened a cardboard box. I wonder how he could then detect damage to 4 wheels?! pictures did not exist yet. instead the lord threatens with lawyer. I strongly suspected that this was attempted. have also already informed ebay. how should I behave further? did not accuse me of anything as said. Please for your advice. thank you so much

  • Goodyear F1 Assymetric vs Vredestein Ultrac Cento.

Hello, Have an Audi A4 2.0 TDI 170 hp, and my tyres are at the end. —-> Michelin PS2 ( 235/40/18 95 Y ) –> 43000 km There are 2 tyres for which I am interested, but I’m a bit lost… 1. Goodyear F1 Assymetric———> 660 euro 2. Vredestein Ultrac Cento ———–> 660 euro Here’s a link to the tyre test 2010—->http://www.tcs.ch/…/…infotechSommerreifen2010_225-45_R17W+Y_en.pdf MY QUESTION : Would I already opt for the goodyear, but have sc hon read in various interpages that he has a great rolling resistance and therefore the fuel consumption is higher…. Can anyone tell me if est is perhaps 0.1, 0.5 , 1 liter on 100 km…. Is the difference large ?? The Vredestein looks good too but the wear seems to be higher…. Can you help me with this ? Thank you in advance…. PS : Sorry for my German…. Write from France…

  • Dunlop SP 9090 Saw tooth damage

Hello, I had new tyres of the brand Dunlop SP MaxxTT mounted on my G5. The older tyres of the brand Dunlop SP 9090 (225/45 R17 of course on the front axle. Unfortunately, I found the tyres on the front axle to run very restlessly, between 80 -120km/h easy vibrating in the steering wheel can be felt. Of course again to my tyre dealers of my trust. The tyres weighed again, while wur My tyre dealer said to me either to turn radio louder or to replace tyres. Now they may still have 60% and almost too bad to throw away. The tires were still bought in Dec. 2006, driven from spring 2007. Is there the possibility to step up to Dunlop and possibly to cut out a few new ones on Kulanz or negotiate a discount?

  • What kind of press-in depth do these special rims have?

Hello, I’m in despair. Since my father died and we are now cleaning out his hobby workshop, we want to sell what we don’t need. Among them are never mounted stainless steel wire spokes rims (if I have researched correctly by Dayton, but I don’t know exactly that). I had already set the rims for a short time on eBay, but took them out again, because a lot of questions came up which indentation depth the rims have. Unfortunately I don’t know and I don’t find them in t. Now one reads in the net, one should measure level A and level B etc., these are Bohemian villages for me and I just don’t sniff that. Does someone have a guide for doofes like that with the calculation of the Et? Gruss Axel PS: the rims should be here for a Mercedes 124 times everything inside is punched: 7Jx15 H2 XW 741 5 Loch Wil

  • Tyre question for parco Podio 7,5×17 ET45 5×112 : preferred 205/45; 215/40 or 215/45

Hi, I’m putting together winter bikes for my F57 JCW and while my rim is clear, I’m not sure which of the 3 tyre sizes is best: 205/45; 215/40 or 215/45 To the TÜV I have to stand anyway and in the ABE all the mentioned sizes. Do you have tips/recommendations? Do I have to worry more or less when registering with one of the tyres? At 205/45 the Conti TS850 costs approx. 450€ in the set. 205/40 you get the newer Conti TS860 for approx. 450€ in set at 205/45 I get the TS850 for 408€ – but only up to 210kmh (H-knowledge, however, is easy in winter) Thanks and LG, Felix

  • Platter winter tires noticed in used cars after over 6 months – who is liable?

Good day dear community ;-), I’m new here and unfortunately I don’t know if this thread already exists (in 50 times version). My problem is the following: I bought my used Skoda Roomster at the beginning of May from a dealer in Berlin – 8 times matured, but at the time of course with summer tyres. Recently I noticed after the rearing of the winter tyres that a tire was flat after about a day. From to the tank, pumped – the next day the same thing. If the seller = dealer replaces me with one tire, although this defect was only found after more than 6 months? From 6 months the burden of proof for material defects lies with the buyer, as much as I know. But how should I first recognize the defect before or 2. prove afterwards that tires x was already flat before? I logically only pull the winter tires on it when it is necessary, and therefore did not recognize the defect sooner. Has anyone of you already so something experienced and can help me? If that’s important: I have a used car warranty (which doesn’t really cover it) and I don’t have legal protection insurance that I could ask 😉 . Maybe jmd knows advice? 1,000 thanks already in advance! Cheers and LG Schmelix

  • Your opinion on this “house stamp”

Moin Moin. I’m on my way in terms of tyre choice. When I browsed the tyre dealer of my choice I stumbled over the house brand and I would have liked to know your opinion about the “slips”. The company DELTI does not only deal with tyres, but also with other articles of the car requirement. There is also a house brand for lubricants. What I was looking for exactly: For my Colt for summer tyres in the dimensions 195/50R15 82H and 205/45R16 83H for 195/50R 15 and 205/45R 16 fa and I’m interested in this offer: High Performer HS-2 195/50R 15 and High Performer HS-2 205/45R 16 For “your” Passat Variant 35i / B4 Bj 1996 after summer tyres in the dimension 205/50R 15 86H here I found this offer: Star Performer UHP Well, I think we all know the home brands from the retail trade, which are packaged under the own label but often in the same factory as the original. What do you mean? Can you hit that? The high performer seems to be completely new in the program, so no reviews yet. I am looking forward to your constructive contributions. 😉 Greetings
