  • Larger tire dimensions = more comfort?

In advance, a single acceptance would be due at the TÜV and I am aware of a speedometer alignment. Let’s say I have a small car with 185/60 R15 tyres, and now mount tyres in 195/65 R15 or 185/65 R15. How much would that improve the suspension comfort in practice? I found this computer:http://www.flat4.de/calc_tyr.htm The computer issues several comfort indices, the higher the more comfortable, I think these are all common sizes that promise more comfort: 185/60 R15 – 6,2 185/65 R15 – 7,7 195/65 R15 – 8,7 Would 195/65 R15 fit with a Mevira A, for example, without bodywork? Can the speedometer be adjusted at will or only within a certain tolerance? If 195/65 R15 were too much, would there be a noticeable improvement at 185/65? Are there any disadvantages other than possibly higher consumption, has anyone ever done the whole thing?

  • Failed with rubber valves!

Hello, I had a TÜV appointment yesterday. Unfortunately, I was not assigned the badge because the ALU rims of my winter bikes were not equipped with a metal screw valve. According to ABE, in fact, the same metal valves are prescribed, because my vehicle can drive faster than 210 km/h. I wonder if the tyre dealer should have known that. As a layman, to whom I am quite counting, one does not necessarily pay attention to something like this. I also wonder, however, that the aluminium F my summer bikes also have a rubber valve, and that already factory side. Who has had similar experiences? Greetings Michael

  • NOKIAN tyres

Hello!!! it would be about the NOKIAN i3… above all I am interested in the wet grip and wear, because I understand from the following information that at least the i3 of NOKIA contains a mixture of a special silicone agent. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION i3: Nokian i3 retains a good grip in the rainy and cool conditions. The full silicone composition (nordic cool silicone agent) is intended for Nordic conditions. The tire retains its grip properties in the cold spring morning and in cool early autumn at, even if temperatures fall below 10 degrees Celsius. does this now mean for southern German conditions that the ripe degrade quickly and ride like winter tires in summer??? greet gromi

  • wupp-wupp-wupp noises

Hello guys, I really need your opinion! I’m an absolute car loser and therefore unfortunately I panic really quickly when something is funny about the car.. the following problem: I bought a Opel Corsa built in 2002 three weeks ago. I’m supposed to get rid of it for half a year until I get a car from the company.. until now the car has been really fine.. but since the end of last week I noticed a noise while driving, the “wupp wup p wupp” makes.. it starts at about 20 km/h and gets faster with increasing speed.. no change of the noise during cornerings.. also steers the car quite normally straight ahead.. so it does nothing. I just noticed that the car consumes more fuel the last time. However, the tire does not look flat. I lifted the car with my father on weekends (car lift) and turned all the tires. There nothing wobbled. I just couldn’t go to the workshop yet. Because I moved on the weekend and can’t take a day off because of the probation time.. My question to you: Can someone judge such a sound? I have some panic about it. For example, that the biker could be broken or otherwise.. the sound definitely comes from the front. I also notice slight vibrations on the pedals .. someone knows that? Can someone give me a tip? As I said: in curves the behavior is the same: no stronger or weaker noise. nke Maja

  • 235/35R19 summer tire experiences

With my ST Cupra 290, factory 235/35R19 Conti SC5P were on it which after 11tkm have only 3.5mm (my winter tires in the same dimming and driving performance have significantly more profile) Besides, I was generally not really satisfied with the rubbers. Woody rolling off moderate grip high consumption and soft like an eraser That’s why I’m looking for an alternative for the coming season. Who has experience with the following tires preferably also in the dimming. Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S Michelin Pilot Super Sport Nokian ZLine Goodyear Asymmetric 3 Dublin SportMaxx RT2 or what else can you recommend? Wear should be significantly less than with the Conti erasers and yet it should have better riding characteristics.

  • Tires loses air: How far to drive with a tire that has only 1.2 bar left?

Yesterday the BMW started the tyre pressure warning. The Cross Climate (for 3 weeks on) on the front left has too little air. So quickly to the petrol station (3 km) away and once looked. The tire had only 1.2 bar. So to the usual 2.6 pumped up and back home. This morning the same game: car on, after 400 m the tire warning. Again to the tank, again only 1.2 bar in the tire. I hear a clear hissing when I squat on the tire. Due to the darkness I could every What else can’t it be, if it has been running smoothly for three weeks, right? Since I am dependent on the car and I don’t get to work without it: a.) How far can I drive with the car max.. I have to drive 3 km to the next tank, can then pump it up, then has to get another 7 to the station. On the way back it is 600m to the next tank. b.) Why is the tire not completely empty, but always retains 1.2 bar in it? c .) Can you tend to fix something like this? If not, then I would order a new one now. Need the days for further distances.

  • Coating of aluminium rims

Hello together I have to paint my aluminium rims (SAT 10/18 inches) myself, but first I need some tips and tricks. The aluminium rims have some parking damage, which you have to grind, spatling I do not come into the question. I will need the following: – sandpaper – rim paint in black – clear varnish – filler – thinning (clean the rims) My question is, should I take the paint out of the spray can or rather paint with gun and pressure air, with which method I get the best result? Which varnish and clear varnish should I take, is there something special for the aluminium ? Does anyone know any offer for the varnishes ? the wheel caps are made of plastic there is something to consider here (lacquer normal or special) Thanks to all in advance

  • Tyres complain Tiredirect.com Dunlop Response 2

2 weeks ago I bought the 4 new winter tires Dunlop Response 2 195/65 R15 91T at Reifendirect.de and installed it via a “assembly partner”. The tires are very soft in profile. From 140-160 kmh/h. it is very difficult to hold, it floats back and forth. I can claim it at Reifendirect, then the tires are sent to the manufacturer and tested and I get the new ones. But if this is not a refen error, but its speciality, all costs will be included in my calculation. Then I have the same bad tires and more than double the cost. How should I look at the tires as a loan? I find this procedure quite compulsorily. Has anyone already had similar experience?
