Hello Founde, I recently bought a set of 16″ VW aluminium rims with R16 – 205/55 – H for my Golf 5 Plus. Now it’s the new Barum Bravuris 2 on two rims and on the other two 8 year old Michelin, which should be replaced. My question now is, how do I get the best/safest tyre combination: – 4x Barum Bravuris 2 (so replace the two old Michelin tires with two new Barum Bravuris 2)? – 2x Barum Bravuris 2 + 2x Continental with the same tyre pr ofil with it is not about the money, I just want to be as safe as possible on the road. Greeting and thanks Black

(identical) replacement rim from other manufacturer – problem?
Servus people, in an accident I broke two rims. Since they are “exotes”, which are unfortunately no longer produced, it is not possible to reorder. However, I found the exact same rims at a salesman on eBay classifieds (but this has only 3 pieces). Only the name of the manufacturer is different (probably it is only an importer who has clapped his own name on it). To my problem: 1. My original inal rims were registered, my vehicle was listed in the ABE. However, in the ABE of the (identical) “replacement rims” my vehicle was apparently forgotten. 2. I would mount two of my remaining rims in the front, and the two spare rims in the rear (or vice versa). Is it legally possible to install rims from different manufacturers at the same time (although they are 1:1 as I said)? Would I be happy if someone already had experience in this area and I had an n tip could give. Greetings, Askyy

Maximum speed Vehicle ticket / tyre speed index from 2009
In the case of a first registration until 1.5.2009 it is necessary to add a safety surcharge to the maximum speed entered in the vehicle registration certificate Part I in order to determine the height speed to be maintained by the tyre. From the above date this surcharge is no longer necessary. But what has changed exactly? If the registered height speed already contains the safety surcharge or if it is determined differently, only the safe speed is determined. or must the tyres now have the reserve by changing the test conditions for the tyres?

is there an alternative to 205/50 R17 93W ?
Hallöle With me soon new summer loops are due. After some good tests of the “Nokian Line” tires, I had basically decided for them. At the first search I took out the data of the winter bikes and there the price was ~50,- € per tire. Then I noticed the stupid error and looked again with the correct data (205/50 R17 93W). However, the price has doubled directly. Since I have over 400,- € for tires but at the moment a little too much I wanted to ask if there are any tires with exactly this data? The current speed approval up to 240 km/h is anyway nonsense because it only makes 190 km/h. Would another variant be possible? Thank you! My vehicle: Ford Focus MK2 (10/2007) 100 hp, 1.6 gasoline rims are as original from Ford.

Which all-year tire – Hankook/Sava/Kumho
Hello, for my Mondeo 3 TDCI, BJ03, 205/55 R16, there is a tyre change. It is to become an all-year tire (please do not comment on how good or bad the whole, it should become all-year tires, since everything else makes no sense for me). In winter the car is mainly moved in the city, where always is cleared. On highway or country road the car is actually only moved in fine weather or sometimes rain, snow and ice the tires are rarely seen In addition, the tires should be reasonably wear-resistant, since the car is moving on the motorway from time to time even at higher speeds, even at summer temperatures – I know that GJR wears out faster here than summer tires, but the whole should remain acceptable within the framework of all-year tires. On a low noise level or other comfort aspects I do not attach too much value – must, ss but not. I have now selected three models, maybe someone knows this or knows something to say about it – I have already browsed a lot of tests and reviews but I have not found a final result yet. Priced are all between 65-70€/piece, i.e. on one level. The three tires to choose from are Hankook Optimo 4S H730 Sava Adapto Kumho Solus Four KH21 At the moment I tend to Hankook, for the reason that it is recommended continuously and in vers However, the other two have also been praised in the highest tones in some tests. Can someone make me a recommendation, also with regard to the ride profile? Thanks in advance rejection

Rims with used tires sold at ebay and forgot to mention something.
Hello people have a question for you. It is about that I sold my rims with used tires and I only noticed after the purchase that a small nail head was in the tire. I had it looked at in the workshop and he removed it and said that it was only superficial and I should not worry. However, I did not tell the buyer about this because of all the packing stress. In the description I also wrote, that I bought the tires in 2012 and the buyer now means the production date is March 2011. I don’t know exactly about it either. In any case, he now threatens with a lawyer or I pay him 75€ pro rata as a replacement. Had also stated that I am a private seller and no withdrawal is possible. What should I do best?? Let it come to me or give him 75€? Would be great if someone could help me.

Time for the summer tires?
Hello, it seems that the next few weeks will not freeze and the weather seems to be quite ok.Is it time for the summer tyres? Has anyone changed? In what cases are there any problems with insurance in case of an accident? – In case of snow? – In case of smoothness? Is there a winter tyre obligation up to a certain date? http://www.wetter.de/…/wetterprognosis.html

Driving other tire size on original rim?!?
Hello people, parallel to the other question, I shake one out of my sleeve: So I drive a Volvo 850 T5 and would like to drive the rims of the V70 II R there! that’s also so far feasible, there are enough 850ers that drive around with it, I can also register by individual acceptance. only I am not so happy with the tire size! In the wheel boxes is already a lot of space, and if the car should then n a bit down, I have rather n stand model. the question: the Volvo V 70 II R rims are 8×18 rims and equipped with 225/40 R18 tires ex factory. can I also drive 215/40 he tires on it, it’s an individual pickup anyway, but can it also be narrower in centimeters?!? or should it have been released by Volvo for the rim first?

Very high tyre consumption
Hello hello, my problem is not so acute at the moment, because the winter certainly comes only right and summer tyre change is still far away. But: the thing is this: I need new summer tyres again and this already the 3rd year in a row. And this is not due to the worn tire profile, but every time the workshop is the Meinug, which my tire is broken. At the beginning I always believed this simply (Bordstein too hard took away etc.) r this is strange. I drive a lot, and maybe I’ll take a curb with me, but it’s not the rule. So: is that normal? Do I have false tires and what could I look for? Thank you for your answers. Best regards, Krissi (with your white Peugeot 207 )
