Hello MT ler, I need new summer tyres this year. The size is 225 40 R18 92 Y My choice is definitely the Michelin PS 2 or the Continental Sport Contact 5 ! I noticed with previous tire purchases that from manufacturer to manufacturer the actual / optical width is often different. It is of course only a few mm, but since I have installed track plates with me at the rear, and on the optics also value, I need your opinion we The two above-mentioned tyres (with rim protection ) look / look the widest ! Hope you can help me further . Love Gruss Speed 97

Tyres slotted on metal edge glass block windows
Hello, I would like to put a question into the round and would be happy about answers, which can be explained best. Thank you already at this point, if you read further and answer me! I drove yesterday with the front tire of the passenger side against a glass block window. It is about these square glass blocks, which were found earlier desoefteren. The window (i.e. one of the stones) was opened parallel to the ground, so that it could cut like a knife, e s also has a metal edge and has planed like a caese planer on the aluminium rim. The tyre dealer pleads for him to show and then possibly just continue driving if nothing white comes out of the tire. But can there be nothing broken inside, which you don’t see? Does someone know valid arguments why this is not so? Or why it can be damaged just now (for him not visible)? I do not want to take a risk and consider the tires to be one of the safety releva ntest parts on the car! Thanks again in advance, sdfnsafn

What do you think of this tire offer?
Hello, is the offer OK? The tyres should be mounted on an Audi A3. The tyre did not do so badly in the last tests. Anyone experience with the tyres? Thank youhttp://www.autoteilestore.com/…/article.html?…

All-weather tyres/full-year tyres on the Golf 7 GTI Performance
Hello together, I have a serious question which has been busy for weeks and which no one has been able to answer for me. I intend to buy a Golf 7 GTI in the near future. I am a forward-looking driver (male 48 years). I did not want to go to his limits with the GTI and also on no race track, I simply like the car. If you already call the word GTI and all-weather tyres or all-year tires you get only rejection. I know that the whole year There’s nothing to be done and nothing to be done about winter/summer tyres. But there’s got to be some kind of year-round tire that you can put on a GTI without having a bad conscience of insecurity. I come to NRW and we’ve had very little snowfall in the past year. People always argue that the GTI has better grip with its PS number with summer/winter tires, which may be as I said, I ride quite sedated and on no race track. Why ic h absolutely want to have all-year tires, on the one hand for convenience and on the other hand because I believe that the all-year tires now also reach the summer / winter tires in about. Imagine you have a Golf 7 with 150 hp with all-year tires, because no summer / winter tires pull on it. With the 150 hp golf you could also lose the grip (all-year tires) and fly out of the curve. I don’t understand why you can’t pull up all-year tires with the GTI I don’t have a sure feeling to buy the GTI and just pull the whole year-round tires on it. I’m asking you not for all-year-round tires but for the seriousness of my problem. So, what do you think, there is a way to drive the GTI with all-year-round tires or can I make it up for myself. If yes, then bit thank you in advance for your information.

Tyre pressure control system RDKS TPMS – pair sensors of new vehicle with retrofit “display”?
The TPMS sensors are the brand Schrader, 433Mhz. Unfortunately, the RDKS in-vehicle is only very stingy with information (no indication of the air pressure per wheel, but only warning if any wheel has too little pressure, but without indication which). I would therefore like to extend the vehicle with a real tyre pressure indicator without replacing the factory mounted RDKS sensors or with additional sensors. A tyre pressure indicator in the style of the retrofit solutions offered on Amazon, for example, in masses as a complete package would be right for me. They all come with their own sensors (also 433Mhz), but as I said, I don’t want to replace sensors or assemble additional ones, but instead use the existing TPMS sensors already installed in the car ex-works to keep it easier. My question: Can someone use an RDKS receiver/display unit for reading and displaying the air pressure values? the RDKS sensors already available in the factory (Schrader 433MHz, installed in Pajero Bj 2017) should be recommended? This should be possible, only unfortunately the retrofitters are silent about whether, how and with which vehicle original sensors they can be coupled / used. Thank you!

Which tyres fit on 18 inch rims?
Good evening, I drive on a BMW F31 18 inch rims. On the VA are 225 and on the HA 255 tires. I would like to get for front and rear 225 tires and pack on the 18 inch rims. Is this possible or is there something to consider? Thank you in advance

Recommendation summer tyres in size 235 35 19
Good evening, I am currently looking for summer tyres for the coming season. I need tyres of the size 235 35 19 (91 Y) What is important to me is performance, wear and noise in the order indicated. 🙂 I have looked through some tests the last few days, whereby especially the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S has crystallized out. However, the price is quite high and is about 160€ per piece. Incl. mounting I lie there at about 700€. ace (or cheaper) comparable tires, which can keep up with the Michelin tire with the above criteria? Or should I just bite into the sour apple? Another question I would like to ask: are tyres with the above dimensions all XL? Does the XL marking bring me advantages? Thanks in advance!

By car in March to southern Spain – summer or winter tyres
Hello, I have to drive by car from Munich to southern Spain before mid-March. So now I am unsure how the snow situation on this route is…important is this because I actually want to drive with summer tires because I will stay in Spain for half a year.. Does anyone have experience with this ..do I still need winter tires at this time? And if from when on I don’t need any more? What do you think about the option to drive with all-weather tires? -actually I’m not a big fan davo n…greater fuel consumption and driving down these will also reach with the mileage I will travel on… You can see my route in the appendix..thanks already for replying! PS: gladly still suggestions for improvement for my route

Opinion for 19″ SMC rims
Hello! Since my search via the SuFu (and also a general search via Google) did not provide the desired results, I would like to start another request before the KBA is asked. So, I am looking for ABEs or parts reviews for two rims from SMC. 1. SMC “358 D 85019”, 8.5 J x 19 H2, ET 35, LK is probably 5/112 (not 100% safe) 2. SMC “358 D 10019”, 10 J x 19 H2, ET 35, LK also probably 5/112, but as said not quite safe The rims should be on a Mercedes CLK 230 Ko mpressor, from the 208 series, year of construction is AFAIK ’99. “Tested” the rims were already, LK skins out, general fitness probably too. Thank you in advance! PS: “RacerNini” and “mk_1975” I already wrote to. RacerNini does not register and mk_1975 does not have the CD with the SMC reviews any more. So you can skip them on your tips, thank you or you manage to activate RacerNini…

Different tyres better on the front axle or on the rear axle?
Hello together! Two years ago, I bought 4 new winter tyres for an Audi A3 (Yokohama W Drive V903 205/55 R16 91H). Unfortunately, one of the tyres has been broken and since the tyre model is not available anywhere else, I had to dodge on another model of Yokohama (Yokohama W.Drive V902A 205/55 R16 91H). The new tyre is in contrast to the old one not tied to the running direction. The 3 “old” tyres are still in a great condition, which is why I do not like a second one. Would it be better to drive the individual “new” tyres on the front axle or on the rear axle? Thank you very much in advance!
