Hi guys, I’m deliberately looking for a strong tire except conti, Goodyear, Dunlop,Michelin and Pirelli. Why? Because I don’t put my money in this big company’s pocket and suspect that the test reports are bought. That’s what all tyre companies would say for years that they just don’t know about tires. The following features must have a sporty design, good on NÄSSE, STARK on dry road, braking characteristics as well as on dry road and Nasser road must be short. Vredestein, Kumho, Matador, Hankook, toyo, yokohama, nexen, maxxis, firestone, bridgestone. Which is the right one for my needs. Mfg Tom Edit vehicle is a Ford Focus mk3 tournament

BBS or Tomason rims on Audi A8 4E 4.2? Which rims would fit my vehicle visually?
Hi, I’m currently looking for (new or good used) summer rims for my Audi A8 4E 4.2 Quattro, BJ 2003 and my summer tyres 255/40R19. Photos of my vehicle see appendix (I’m afraid I don’t have any better and more up-to-date photos at hand; what’s reflected so strongly in my vehicle is the building behind me; moreover, the vehicle now has a double pipe exhaust of Supersport on each side, in the photo is still the old one. Since my current Barracuda Voltecs 8.5×19 ET30 have a paint problem, I would use the Barracudas as winter tires, because you can’t see the cracked clear paint in rain and in bad to normal weather without a strong sun at all. As winter rims the Barracudas are still good in my opinion. But for the summer I’m looking for new suitable rims that fit on my vehicle. I’ve already looked at some, but I’m still unsclü i don’t know how it is with the quality of the rims. i picked out the following rims: Tomason TN15: click me BBS SR: click me BBS XA: click me BBS CX-R: click me – which of these rims do you like optically (without considering the possible quality) best or would fit well with my vehicle? which one do you like optically least? – is the Tomason rim qualitatively a whole corner worse than the BBS rims, or is the quality I don’t necessarily have to have premium quality, but I also don’t want cheap rims for my vehicle. As a manufacturer, the TÜV-certificate of the Tomason rim includes a rubber-verwertungs GmbH. That sounds completely funny. How is the experience in terms of durability? Thank you for your help!

Tyre storage / protocol received?
Hello, I would be interested to see what this looks like if you have your tyres stored. Do you get a report from the dealer, for example, that the condition of the rims/tires is noted? After the tyre change I had to notice a scratch in a rim of the summer tires. However, I can’t remember that it was already in before the winter. At Mercedes I got a storage protocol with condition, profile depth etc. That was actually very good. At VW I have sow Should you insist on it? How are your experiences?

Rim lock lost, no number, not original, a tip?
Hello, I have lost the key of the rim lock from our Polo. The locks are not original VW, neither the manufacturer nor the number we have. All the workshops I have called, say there only helps crack open. Maybe someone has a tip? (to buy a similar one from Ebay, or is there universal for it?) Greeting!

Store wheels on a balcony?
Evening together, I try not to make a science out of it, but the thought of how annoying it would be if something went wrong. Due to lack of space, I have no choice but to store the tires on the balcony, so they are exposed to wind and weather. I thought about it so much that I buy a wooden pad and stack the tires on it. At home I have a tarpaulin for the bike, which is unfortunately grey. but I ask myself or want to be confirmed again: – Is it better to get a blue tarpaulin because of UV protection? – Does the snow or the cold hurt the summer tire? – I read that the tarpaulin is enough in itself because an additional tire foil would mean more moisture –> rust? (At the moment not relevant, but for every year in the summer then) Thank you and many greetings

No DOT number
Hello, 2 years ago (2017) I bought 4 tires on steel rims of tires directly and since I want to sell them again now, I looked for the DOT number but did not find it! It is only in a pressed window the number 2010 that would have to be the production year!? That would mean then that when buying the tires were already 7 even almost 8 years old!!! Can that be? Were such old tires sold to me as new? The tires are Bridgestone Blizzak by the way. in the purchase but is that permissible?

Foreign body in the tire…reparable.?
Hi As the topic already says, I have a foreign body in the tire. This is so long when you move it that it hisses and thus the tire is defective. Is this damage repairable (see pictures below) or do I need a new one next year and what would the repair cost? There are Vredestein Ultrac Cento 225 45 ZR17 Y from 2014. Greetings

Bordstone hit
Hello! Yesterday I drove with my right front tire against the curb. Photos are there, my question is if I should change the tire. Can you also “beautify” the rim again? Thank you Aaron
