Sers Gemeinde, am looking for new summer tyres for my Audi A6 4F size: 255 35 19 Can’t really decide which manufacturer I have to take / should / should / can / can. Does someone have tips which tyres to recommend which one is not? Preferred manufacturers: Michelin, Pirelli, Hankook, Goodyear, Dunlop, Conti, no Nangkan or Unyroyal rain or as this one is called. The price of the manufacturers is just 200 – 250 euros per tyre. in Primacy HP 3 months, was super tires I can’t say anything. (Anytime easier with the dimension 255 35 19, like falcons Dimensions: 235 40 17 ) Please don’t be same stoned, if I should have chosen the theme title wrong ! in this sense, let’s start the discussion.

BBS VZ033 Golf 6 GTI urgent question on ABE
Hello together, I enjoyed a nice set of BBS VZ033, which was also an ABE. Did I also draw it from the BBS website again, see appendix, there is indeed the Golf 6 listed, but only up to 118 KW, so my GTI is not even within the ABE, or am I mistaken? I would be happy about quick answers.

Tires too small for rims?
Hello, yesterday I had my new winter complete wheels pulled up. Somehow the whole doesn’t look so harmonious. The rim protection of the tyre does nothing here, because the rim is above the rim protection. Has someone an idea what this is about. I had first thought the tire would be too small – but the tyre size is correct. As a comparison I have attached a picture of the summer rim – everything looks great! Thanks in advance.

Assassin from the TÜV
Hello, I have a huge problem. I found the rims HP Design Perfect 10 on the Internet. Homepage HP Design I got the strength report and a vehicle certificate in which the rims are registered and went to the examiner. He meant it would be no problem so I bought the rims. Then I went to the examiner a second time and had an appointment given me because I wanted to get the rims close to the TÜV appointment. he looked at everything again and said again that it is ok. So now I had my rims covered and balanced, drive to the examiner and he says all of a sudden he made himself smart again and it is not possible. :'( What should I do now. I paid for balancing 80€ , for mounting 25€ and for the screw set 40€. (And of course for the rims + tyres over 1000€) Now everything should have been for free … what should I do?! I am very grateful for every answer .

Damage caused by too high mounting air pressure on car tires?
Hello, I hope someone can help me. I ordered new tires last week and had them mounted on my aluminium rims by a tyre dealer (workshop). I picked up the tires there and then mounted them on my vehicle myself and wanted to adjust the air pressure to 2.5 bar. I noticed that all the tyres were pumped up to a pressure of 5.5 to 6.5 bar. In order to get the tire on the rim, a higher mounting air pressure is required. Now I have read on the internet that the jumping pressure can be max. 3.3 bar and the max. setting pressure 4 bar, as otherwise there can be damage to the tyre or especially to the tyre bump. If the jump or the correct press seat cannot be reached with these pressures, the assembly process has to be repeated from the front. Now my question: Can the too high mounting air pressure have damaged the tyres? The tyres are Ra insport 3 from UniRoyal (225/40 R18 92Y XL with rim rib summer tire). On the tires is a maximum air pressure of 40 PSI, i.e. approx. 2.76 bar. Even if you can take 150 % of this value as a maximum mounting air pressure, then that would be only 4,14 bar. Now my guess is that the tyre assembly was executed improperly. Maybe no lubricant was used and so it was only possible with a very high pressure that the tires “set” or wi I didn’t see any residue of a lubricant on the tires at the rim of the rim. Since I drive a lot of highways and often speeds over 200 km/h, my worry is that the high pressure has not visibly damaged the tires and it could come to a tyre pitcher at some point. If someone knows it it would be nice to write whether there is a danger or the worry is unfounded. Thank you in advance for answers.

Tires cheap???
Hello to all tire experts I have received a set of aluminium wheels for the golf from my partner in the dimensions 7×17….According to the report I should drive tires in the dimensions 205/45 R17…I also want to be quite honest, so the car is only a 1.6l Golf 4 variant which is used as a everyday car. according to Recherge in the net there is indeed a mad price spread – starting from the cheap tire which should cost 50€ to brand tires 160€ pcs…. since I am a miser, and I mean that (woman at the wheel) every expensive tire would be too bad to drive against the curb – should it also make a cheaper tire. Of course it should not necessarily lack safety now! but whether the rubber looks a little louder or the profile looks so beautiful I don’t really care….Can someone recommend me a cheap tire, which I can buy with a good conscience? thank you already for reading

Keep 1 year old (new) tyres?
Hello, after my dealer on site over 2 years old (DOT 0810) wanted to turn on old Bridgestone Turanza ER 300, I ordered it on the internet and got it today. These have DOT 1911. Speaks about 1 year old. I don’t seem to be followed by luck. My question. Would you keep or send back tyres of this age? My biggest worry is hardening rubber. Loud tires after 2 years of driving I don’t necessarily want to have. Thank you in advance.

18 years old summer tyres
I’ve been riding 18 years old summer tires since the last week. I’ve been looking at the profile of the tires since autumn and I’ve only looked at the profile of the tires at that time. It was okay. Now my workshop has pulled the tires on it. The mechanics came grinningly towards me and congratulated me on being of age. I didn’t know what they meant until they told me that the tires were 18 years old. They still pulled them on because the master me inte, they are fine: no cracks, good profile – just hardened. Well, now I drive the things. So far I have not noticed anything big, but it is already a murky feeling, when I know that the things are half as old as I am. On the highway I have also driven several times over 200. I only now through research realized that such old tires are not as safe as the master told me. Are there any clues that I should note if ic h driving with such tires? Will they still drive for at least a month before I will get new ones. I have my son with me every now and then and I don’t want any risks. If Master had told me this earlier, I would have ordered some of them, of course, but he just pulled them on and only then told me the age.

Are balancing machines regularly calibrated?
Hello to all tire professionals. I am interested in whether balancing machines for wheels have to be calibrated regularly or it is up to every factory city itself to carry out such a maintenance. Had problems with the summer tires last year (4 new Conti Sport Contact) and I tinged from one balancer to another, but all with different results. The success was sometimes better, sometimes worse. Partially the difference was between 20g and 40g. The wheel was only accelerated by hand, with one running the wheel in the horizontal and then also different vertical devices. The principle is the same everywhere, but which is the better one? I read that the force machines can be adjusted from 1g on. Works with this overhaup t someone or are 5g standart/usual? And last but not least, I would be grateful for a recommendation in Munich or in northern surroundings. Someone who works closely and takes time. Greetings Rico
