  • Speed index for summer tyres

Hello dear forum, I need expert help. I recently bought a used f31 320d year 2017. In the vehicle registration the tyre specification is as follows: 205/60 R16 92 W. In the purchase there were 205/60 16 96 V summer tyres. May I actually use it, as you are below the registered speed index? So far I have found only the following rule in the net: “If the car manufacturer in the vehicle registration certificate a tyre with a significantly higher speed index requires that when the vehicle is able to do so, a car tyre with a smaller speed index may be driven.* Which tyres are permitted in this case is calculated using the following formula: Minimum requirement on the tyres = maximum speed + 6.5 km/h + 0.01 x maximum speed” According to this regulation and the higher load capacity of the V tyres, I would have to move within the legal framework, right? Unfortunately, I find nothing official about this :/ The 320d with 226 Thank you for your help! Greetings, Sebastian

  • Question about decrease yes or no

If I start easily for my car there are 18 inches like sand at the sea with ABE and all, now I wanted to get new rims for my summer tires, if I search out 19 inches, always with me. Acceptance at a testing center (TÜV, DEKRA, etc.) necessary registration in the vehicle papers required So A01, A12 or 11K is always with me. But in my registration is registered 235/35 R19, if I take now other rims, the tires I want to pull on the new ones are yes no The new rim is pretty much the same, except the press-in depth is not 48, but 40 I have to leave the entries or have them removed?

  • How reliable is the rim configurator from reifen.com?

Hello Motor-Talk Community, have configured and ordered for an Audi TT (Coupe TFSI45, quattro , BJ 2019, ACJ000033) at reifen.com winter bikes. Borbet CC 7×17 ET 50 with 225/50 R17. Should fit according to configurator, and I received from reifen.com a message the wheel-tire combination would fit and send to partner operation. Today this should be mounted at the Premio partner. Result: the wheels do not fit, allegedly because of the brake. They are looking for a solution (purple plate) n) and report, date in approx. 4 weeks. My mood was already in the basement. Note: The standard brakes with which the car was delivered are mounted! Then I called the Audi customer service. When I explained the thing I was already strangled: “Look in the COC paper, there are all permissible wheel-tire combinations in it.” My question about the brake in the car was ignored, for that there was the hint I should go to an Audi dealer. They are j a sooo much more competent! Then my call at reifen.com. “According to expert opinion that fits!” “We take nothing back!!!!”, that was the most important sentence! So I think if I buy something from which the seller assures me that it technically fits, and then it doesn’t fit, that’s not my problem! My attempt technically to figure out what went wrong then went wrong in nothing. The customer consultant was held back and stopped the conversation. I should measure the brake, and d if I don’t want that to be all in vain! Too bad, actually I just wanted the error to be investigated and eliminated. Everyone would have benefited from this, but reifen.com does not seem to be interested! Apart from the fact that I imagine solution-oriented conversations differently, my question to you: How reliable is such an online configurator? There also data about the size of the brake would have to be noticed, otherwise it doesn’t make any sense. Is the TSN+VSN input i n the configurator is not clear at this point? Do different companies have different configurators or do they all use the same? I’m looking forward to your answers, I just want to explore the cause! Best regards drivers35i

  • Quality MAM rims ??

Does anyone have experience with MAM rims or do you know someone who drives which??? I heard, as I said, that the MAM rims are not exactly well processed. Lack would burst off, the alu wheels are made of very soft material. And when it comes to force, there would also be problems because they are not very (don’t know the exact concept) round. So then start if you know someone or you drive a few MAM’s yourself. Please do not speculations etc. but were experience values. ch Handynr per pn and would then report me to find out more. Greetings Teardrop

  • Haltability of batteries in RDK sensors

How long do the batteries hold in the RDK sensors? Since I bought a BMW F20 after my W213 and both are equipped with an active air pressure control system, the question arises for me how long the batteries hold in the RDK valves. The sensors send signals constantly I assume that the batteries are not replaceable. It should surely be bought new ones if they no longer work

  • Goodyear Ultra Grip 8 – Bump on the tread

Hello guys, after the installation of my new Goodyear Ultra Grip 8 (205/55 R16) winter tires, especially at high speeds, a clear vibration was noticeable in the whole body as well as in the steering wheel. After a long time trying around and numerous balancing processes I looked at the tread of the tires once more. And look here: three out of four tires have a slight bump on the tread at one point. It makes the impression as if at this point too much mat Has anyone had similar experiences or experienced something like that before? My tyre dealer has offered to send me the tyres to Goodyear. In case of a manufacturing error I would get my money back. The problem is that I would not get any spare tyres from the dealer in the meantime and the winter is getting closer. Is not the dealer obliged to replace the tyres as part of the warranty if there is actually a problem with it?

  • Search Year-round tires

My new Kona can be picked up next week and I’m looking forward to it. The Kona will be delivered on summer tyres and I’d like to put all-year tires on it. Can you give me some tips, or recommendations, maybe even an inside tip. The tyre size is 215/55 R 17. It’s starting from 40€ per tire on the internet, but can this really be something clever? I would also be more prepared to z safety is always going on, of course, but I am also happy about every euro that can remain in my wallet. I thank you already in advance and I am happy about answers.

  • Tyres for new cars

Good evening together, I would like to hear from you how you handled the following situation in the past: I ordered a new car, will of course be delivered on summer tires. Now I can order the car on standard rims at no extra charge (17 inch) , which of course do not look so great or at an extra charge of 500€ chic 18 inch. However, I always ride 8 compartments tires and change myself. Now I thought about two variants: Order 18 inch from factory and for the win bzw is this even cheaper than aluminium? Or just use the standard rims for the winter and for the summer chic accessories rims. Has the disadvantage that one would be bound by the delivered summer tires to 17 inch. How did you solve this in the past?

  • Air loss via valve Lack damage after workshop

Hello, With my two Mercedes original winter rims I notice a slow pressure loss again and again. After spraying in the soap water I could detect the air escapes from the valve hole. So I went directly to a well-known tyre repair chain to let me help. Their diagnosis was that the paint was loosening. So they cleaned the valve hole and replaced the valve rubber. Now I find amazingly what was meant by valve hole cleaning the like If it had been only in a small environment around the valve hole I would have understood it yet, but that is already a lot too much. Now I only wonder if this was correctly regulated by the workshop and if not what I could do legally, they have apparently corrected the pressure loss but you can not justify the paint damage. Otherwise which alternative except for a complete new painting g Would it still be?

  • Which rims and tyres for 325 Ci ?

Day all together. Will buy me the days a 325 CI year 2002, however he needs completely new summer tires. I would like to buy also rims, in the optimal case, used in a good condition to not have to spend much. At present he is still on the following steel rims:http://www.directupload.net/file/d/3708/49wmkana_jpg.htmhttp://www.directupload.net/file/d/3708/beaebdrt_jpg.htm Have not really had the experience with other vehicles, since I have still had my The first car, driving an Audi 80 2.0l and so far not had to buy a set of winter tyres. I will drive it most of the time in the city center and on country roads, he will probably only see the highway a few times a month, accordingly I would like to hear your suggestions: Which summer tyres should I get and what advantage do they have compared to others (it can be quite good brand tyres on which one can rely (especially in rain / wet). for rims would fit to the car? Do you have any pictures where you can see this ? Are there still differences apart from the appearance , e.g. driving behavior , if you take larger rims ( 17″ / 18 ” ) ? Hope someone can help me on the fast , since I want to register the vehicle next week already .
