  • Tires slowly loses pressure + cracks on the side of the tire (see photo)

Hello everyone! I bought my Toledo used and noticed that the right rear tyre slowly loses air (Friday » 2.20 bar, Monday is at 1.65bar). Also it has cracks sideways (see photos). I noticed it at 1.00bar for the first time…probably the previous driver has been driving with it longer?! I drive rather short distances and mostly not over 100km/h. Are the cracks at the place critical or not? if not I would have the tire look after the leak. ifen is completely OK from the profile, and the left rear tire (purchased at the same time) in dazzling condition. Therefore the question. Thank you very much!

  • Coloured rims and inappropriate balancing weights.

Moin Moin I bought a completely new set of aluminium wheels for my car, because they do not match the desired colour they will be powder coated. They are probably powdered in a light turquoise, now the question is what is with the weights to balance out. Unfortunately, there is a suitable color non-silver and black looks stupid… Can you leave the weights also powders? How did you solve that? I thank you in advance.

  • Winter tyres Surrender sound

Good evening Short question to the experts… I was at the tyre change yesterday and have a slight hum now on the front axle… on it again today to the tyre dealer, who has now checked again and the force weights are in order. The tires were also changed from rear to front, respectively. Also the other way around … is the noise still lying? According to the tire dealer “Yes” winter tires have run the “Bridgestone Blizzak Lm005 First season without noises

  • Filling tires from compressor with oil lubrication?

Moin, I soon wanted to buy a compressor for various work around the house (paint fences with paint gun, blow out heating ribs, etc.). If the compressor is already there, I would of course also check and adapt the tyre pressure on the car. I read a little cleverly and picked out a compressor from Metabo, which is priced in my frame and should be sufficient for my purposes. This one has an oil lubrication. I had there no further thought was made about it, but then read by chance, that one should not inflate car tires etc., because there is always some oil in the compressed air, which then naturally gets into the tire and damages the tire. I then continued and saw, there are corresponding oil and water separators for it. However, these are not necessarily cheap, if one wants something useful. Therefore my question: Is this really so, that one should not fill any tires with it or is d I can’t honestly imagine that there are such quantities of oil in the compressed air that it would have any effect. Otherwise, if you clean eas with compressed air, you would have an oil film afterwards instead of dirt. Does anyone have any experience?

  • Wheel change horror

Hello! Today I was with my BMW to the tire. Here it came to the following experience: One of the rims (original aluminium rims of BMW) was apparently “solid” and the mechanics laid on it neatly… One kicked with full force to the inside of the rim then hammer and wooden block were inserted from the inside. In the end the screwdriver then determined after some attempts that simply a single wheel screw was still tightened… My question: I mac I’m a little worried now that during the action the rim (especially the bore) or the screw might have got something off. What do you think about it? Does this stuff have to endure?

  • Can slip the tire on the rim

Question to the “experts” : Vehicle Kia Sorento 2.2 200ps Diesel 4WD The following situation : When accelerating on the snow-covered acceleration strip on a highway, the wheels rotate through (about 80kmh) – it is further accelerated. The left side of the vehicle comes from the snow-covered road (turning wheels) on the snow-free asphalt of the highway. It comes to a strong “back” – since the left side suddenly has “grip”. Afterwards a vibrating from about 80kmh to s The vehicle was put into the garage for thawing, so that possibly snow melts, which could have caused the vibration. However, even with a snow-free vehicle it remained jerking. An assumption that the weights have flown from the rim has not been confirmed. It may be that by the sudden grip the rim has slipped a piece in the tire (cold wet etc), which now a k Is there an “unbalance” with you?-or rather “never”? Thank you for your answers

  • Maturity-related requirements and instructions

Hello, I’m looking for summer rims. I’ve already found the right one. The only question that torments me now is this: In the report under tyre-related conditions and hints the point – T89 – T93 This describes the permissible axle loads T89 augl. Up to 1160kg T93 augl. Up to 1300kg With my car is the permissible axle load 1200kg. According to T89 these rims with 245/35 R19 would not be allowed. According to the point T93 already. What do I orient myself on now? Theoretically must e.g. 245/35 R19 93Y fit or not? Thank you for the help

  • Wheel + tire damaged

Hello guys. Unfortunately, my friend has come against the curb with the rim + mature. Felge is not bad, so I let it be done, only the tire is a bit worried. Is this still possible or should I go to the workshop and have it renewed? Thank you very much in advance!
