  • Brake fluid on tires – damage to tires ?

Hello together, At the last oil change, I ordered a change of the brake fluid at the workshop. Reason: The friendly person claimed to have carried out an inspection when selling the car to me, but did not want/could provide me with a copy of the invoice/activities carried out. The oil was obviously changed, but the braking feeling seemed to me unchanged to the test drive, whereby the brake fluid should have been replaced. Dah I had the brake fluid changed at the next change date due (October 2020), the brake feeling is now felt better – so far so good. Since I had time to switch from summer to winter bikes at the beginning of October, I did so the day after the change of the brake fluid. I had to find out that on the steel rims and tyres at the front left and back right was still brake fluid. I then tried to “wash off” with water as far as I could. Ic h, of course, called the workshop and told the service manager my “Fund” but he saw the whole thing stress-free and said that it was no problem, because brake fluid attacks paint rather than the rubber of a tire. He also gave me the hint that I can remove it also with brake cleaner. I added pictures of the wheels. How do you see this? Brake fluid attacks the tire (Wikipedia says yes, but otherwise I have little revealing Beric on the Internet. And has the amount and duration of action of approx. one day already been enough to generate a damage that could lead to a burst of the tire at higher speed? Bzw do I need new summer tires now? Thank you for your opinions!

  • Attention when buying tiresLeader!!!

I ordered two motorcycle tyres R19 and R17 3 months ago. They are delivered in about 10 days from GLS. Unfortunately, both tyres with old production date were R17 with DOT 4617 and R19 with DOT 0718. As the only way to make a complaint was ONLY by email – so genant “ticket” to create. After waiting for 10 days I get first message by email that at least one tire R17 with DOT 4617 is picked up. Since I have the In the meantime, I immediately ordered tyres from another supplier and got them very quickly. 10 days later, however, GLS postman arrives with a wrong pick-up ticket, which was determined for the other R19 tyres with DOT 0718. I have always written to tyre leader via email and demands for a proper pick-up ticket to pick up my R17 tyres with DOT 4617. In the time already 4 times the postman arrived, but always with the other Abho On the 5th visit, I decided to return my unused tires R17 DOT4617, although it was different to the ticket name. At the time 4.22.2021 – (three months after ordering ) I am still waiting for a refund. I am totally exhausted and dissatisfied from the shop. Of course I never order again at the tire leader.de. For me an EFFECTIVE DISCUSSION !

  • MAM A5 8×19 ET45 does not fit A4 Avant B9 despite approval

Hello dear ones, I thought for the summer long, which rims fit and I liked and finally decided for the MAM A5 8×19 ET45. With the summer tires (245/35) no body changes are necessary according to the approval and ABE, which was very important to me. Rims were delivered, then the shock at the assembly partner… Rims sit on the front of the caliper and have no free passage… I checked the approval and ABE again ten times and a There are no brake pads, from the model name to the *e1 number. Drive an Avant S-Line version with 140kw, but there are also no restrictions in the ABE. Audi A4 Avant Sline 2.0 TDI 140kw Year of manufacture 2016 Key number: 0588 BFV… For me an absolute unding, how the TÜV approvals can be published and then nothing fits. Will see how I can return the rims to the dealer again… With the MAM A5 ET30 the body would have to be fitted with the MAM A5 ET30. This applies only to the standard version or to the SLine version, where the wheel boxes may be wider as standard ?! Ask now what you have mounted for rims in R19 (apart from the originals ) Currently the MAM A1 with ET42 seems to be an alternative, but somehow I don’t know if I can still trust the approvals Thank you in advance for your feedback. LG

  • Condition of these tires?

Hello, for me as a layman the question arises, how you evaluate the condition of these tires based on these pictures. There are 165 70 R14, different models at the front and at the back, on Polo9N Built.2002 Rather goes just as soon as possible change or rather the category life-threatening? The age is of course also violent, at the back 0107, at the front 2710 but if you run out only by the look, how do you rate this? Picture 1-5 is back right picture 6-14 is front right Thanks in advance

  • Mounted series tyres or have something bigger entered??

Hello me would be interested in general whether you have left it with the tire base equipment or changed to the maximum size in the papers or changed something else via single entry/decrease…to the survey above a short feedback in the thread with which tires/velvet size/refitting you are on the road would not be bad mfg Andy

  • Which summer tyres

Hello together, I recently bought brand new 17 inch rims for my Bora. Now also the right tires should be on it. 225/45 R17. Only which brand? I am looking for one that has a low wear. I already read that the Conti Sport 2 and the Pirelli P6000 are a good choice. Did they already have a jmd. on it and can tell me if they are worth their money? Does jmd. have a good (better ? ) secret tip as an alternative to the above mentioned tires? Thanks already for r your answers

  • already summer ripening?

I’m going through Germany 2 times in the middle of the week…is it more useful to start up summer tyres at the temperatures of 10° +…especially with regard to the aspect of tyre abrasion on the highway?! or maybe only change for this ride? because is not a big effort what do you think about it?

  • Goodyear Ultragrip 8 PERFORMANCE

Hello guys, I just got the Goodyear Ultragrip 8 performance, in 225/50 R17 94H for my BMW 5er. The following I noticed or would like to share here, because I did not find anything on the net: # there are different Ultra Grip 8. Marketing technically really great… The “Performance” version is not the Ultragrip 8 which was tested in many winter tire tests. The performance version has a different profile. Compare: e.g. Focushttp://www.focus.de/. ../…mance-warten-auf-den-winter_aid_763387.html and ADAChttp://www.adac.de/…/2012_215_65_R16_details.aspx?… # the “normal” UG 8 have partly become test winners (ACE 2011) and have only got satisfactory in a different size at the ADAC. I have not found a test for the performance yet. [Who finds something here, like to post] # A tyre in size weighs exactly 10.8 kg. I will set further impressions with this tire here when the time is ripe and Father Fro If anyone has any questions about the rubbers, please ask…

  • Winter 2012/2013 – Experiences (collecting thread)

Dear tyre friends! There are already some special threads for the falcon and the conti, and this thread is not supposed to be a competition to these threads, but rather a sort of collective topic, in which all possible experiences with your tires are supposed to play a role this winter. I start: We had winter weather twice so far. Vehicle: Peugeot 206+ tyres: 185/60 R15 (milling), Nokian WR G2 I drive these tires in the second year, the wear and tear The behaviour of the WR G2 is actually known, because the tire is relatively ‘old’ and has already a double successor. In dry weather the car drives with the Nokians as equipped with summer tires, in cold or snow the Nokian subjectively conveys much (!) more safety than the Semperit Speed Grip I, which was on my car before – at least in combination with my vehicle this is the case. Wet grip at warmer temperatures (10 degrees) seems to me subjectively a little weaker than with my Conti summer tires.

  • Which compressor is necessary for impact wrench ?

Hello together, owns a Herkules Rollair compressor for 150,-€ from the Bauhaus. I would like to connect a impact wrench (four-edge with 1/2″ and thread for compressed air hose connection 1/4″. Data of my compressor: – pressure 10 bar – suction power 200 l/min – filling power 130 l/min – engine power 1.1 kW at 230V – boiler 2×8 liters Now I would like to connect a impact wrench there. Will not take advantage of the full power of the impact wrench. but the screws have to be glued in, which makes the screws difficult to get out until the last thread passage. And with 100mm long screws that’s not exactly pleasant….there’s a hit screw. Can I connect a hit screw to this genus there?http://www.amazon.de/…/ref=sr_1_1?… Best regards DJ1312
