Hello, I bought the WANLI S 1088 (235/40/18) at Reifensuche.com 1 month ago. After not even 500km the car jumps suddenly and turns into a hedge. When I had the car on a stage in the workshop one could see that the left front tire had deformed like an egg. The workshop meant Karkass torn. On the picture one can clearly see the damage. When the tires still had air the bump was a lot bigger. 2 days later, all 4 tyres were picked up. I bought new tyres in the meantime. Today, Reifensuche.com calls me and thinks 3 tyres are still good and they want to send them to me again (shipping costs go to me). I find it an outrageous impertinence to want to turn these tyres on again. Customer friendliness is probably something else. I will certainly never mount such tyres again, because my driving safety is important to me. h I’m curious if I can reach an out-of-court agreement with Reifensuche.com.

How safe are rim locks? Are they universally usable? What do I have to consider?
Hello, since I’m about to get my new car and this really nice 16″ LM wheels on it, I want to protect them against theft. Do such 27.95 Euro rim locks do something and how do they work? Maybe I also want to secure the rims of my wife’s M2, but I don’t know if this nuts or screws have. Can I buy the same? It’s primarily about making the “fast” thieves unattractive, who use the opportunity without any effort to klakla Professional thieves will certainly not be deterred by this. As always, I am grateful for helpful tips.

Winter 2011/2012 – Your experience with winter tyres
Finally snow! Andyrx has already reported on this in his blog, and there was also a beautiful white snow cover in the high Black Forest this morning. Maybe in the next weeks we can collect some of our experiences with winter tires this year in this thread. I am particularly curious about experiences with rather unknown brands or ‘second brands’, but also praise songs on established tires are gladly read, at least by me.

When do you have to put on winter tires??
Hello, would you like to know how the legal provisions for the winter tyre obligation are…! Have you heard that it depends on the outside temperature and not necessarily on the “winter season”? That is, if we have 15 degrees in December there is no obligation to drive with winter tyres!?? Can someone tell me something binding?

Question on tyre change
Hello, today I mounted the winter tires on my wife’s polo. Clever as I am, of course, I labeled the tyres on the front and back with waterproof chalk (the summer tires) to be able to match them again. Afterwards I washed them and cleaned the aluminum. When I was done, it turned out that the waterproof chalk is not waterproof. So nothing with labeling. There were no straight-track tires and only a summer, so almost Aside from the fact that I can’t do anything anymore anyway, a question about it: When I put the summer tires on the car again, I have to pay attention to something or can I somehow do them on the car? Because I can’t assign them now anymore. Thank you in advance. PS: The tyre dealer has pressed 4 times the carrier on the brand new polo in my new purchase. Great, I have only seen it today. You really have to control it every time you buy the car from the But you can’t be that idiotic as a tyre dealer? Well enough crying.

2 new tyres bought from ATU. DOT from 2002 , now what?
Hello! last week I bought 2 new tyres (UNIROYAL 225/60 R 15 96W RALLY 540) from ATU and had them re-edited there. Today I look at the DOT No. and see that the tyres from the year 2002 are. So the tyres are about 5 years old. Was today at ATU and asked if this is normal tires from 2002 to sell without giving the slightest indication of the age. Well, the employee said that he would personally drive only such tyres and I should not worry about The tires are new and not used yet. Therefore the age does not matter. I am not afraid because of the safety of the tires but nevertheless I find that one should at least give a hint with 5 years old tires. If I had known that the tires are 5 years old, I would not have bought them. I will never buy tires at ATU again and will never enter these workshops again. My question is if someone knows if you can take action against them and if you want to do so. How old can tires be max. the dealer be allowed to sell them as new? Greetings, Willi

Are these winter tires still in use?
When changing to the summer tires, I found that my winter tires at the “outer tunnels” were partly driven off. is affected by this every 4-5 tunnels. Otherwise the tires still have 7-7.5 mm profile depth. However, the tires are already 6 years old and there are new ones for next winter. If the wheels would like to sell, of course with the reference to the damage my question, you consider the damage to be highly safety-relevant, or you could still use them. I’m gonna put some pictures in here.

Finding the right tire on the basis of rim dimensions, but how?
Until now, no one could ever tell me how to find the right tires based on the rim dimensions. So I’m going to throw the question out of the table here. Rim dimensions are 7.5 x 19 ET33 there is a formula or a table etc.? Would you be able to understand how to get to the right rubbers.
