Hello all, I have a Passat B8 and a Daihatsu Terios Allrad. I bought the Passat as a leasing back runner, so it is on all-weather tires. The Terios has two sets of tires, the winter tires soon give up their spirits and the summer tires are only one season old. The Terios is not the latest, has smaller aches and is only used on short distances as a second car, rarely more than once a week, while the Passat is our everyday car. Now we are Wint My idea: – Passat: buy second set of rims with winter tyres and drive up the previous all-weather tyres in summer and then replace them with summer tyres. – Terios: Somehow it was a wrong decision to buy new summer tyres last year. Since the thick tire has these are also quite expensive. For the short distances the effort with two sets of tires is quite high and have room for storage w Is it possible to sell the used summer tyres to some extent? Does that make sense or do you have better ideas? Do I have to pay attention to something when buying a rim for the passat (except that they fit naturally) – is it all primarily a visual question, right?

Problem with new tyres (unbalance or unround)
Hello, I bought a Mercedes S-Class V222, year 2016 with 105tkm. Then there were 18 inch summer tyres, but they were already pretty bad (10 years old and loud). But the car drove clean and quiet with it. I bought and had used 20 inch Mercedes rims and new Hankook winter tires. Unfortunately, the car now runs far too restless. Hankook had already been on a CLS C218 as a summer tire and was actually satisfied with it. Aschine showed 0 everywhere. However, it works “only” in 5g steps. Max. are I believe on one wheel 70g weights on it, the others have less. I would have to look again exactly, but actually this should still be in frame. I could now just balance out somewhere else and if necessary let go. However, I have the feeling that the tires simply run round. I feel already from 60km/h that the car drives restlessly. Moreover, the rolling noise gets louder and louder and it sounds like you’re constantly driving over something. Do you want to complain to the dealer or the manufacturer? I want to have this checked myself anyway. Because I can be, I send the tires back and dealers/manufacturers say everything ok without being able to prove it. But what do you need to be able to check a tire? Finding a dealer with Hunter machine would also be a possibility, but I don’t actually see that in new tires. Rims must of course also check for concentricity in order to be able to exclude this. I am grateful for every advice!

Single-sided high-end front tyres
Hello, I have found today with terrifying that my two front tyres on the inside to the metal coat have run off and the outside is almost like new. I drive a mercedes c-class s202 and have mounted 18″ cm c6 feet with 225 nankang tyres. about 4 months ago I had my car to the reperatur in a free workshop, because my track rod and my steering dampers were defective. according to the workshop a track adjustment had to be made. the re when I needed them (with the c6 rims) without damage, they were evenly approached and there was no irregularity between the inside and the outside. now what is my right position? what can/should I do? can I demand compensation from the workshop? it is very annoying that I have to buy 2 new tires now, since the rear still have a lot of profile like the front one before the track setting. I hope for a quick answer and once a thank you in advance! greetings markus schulz

Tire / rim problem, urgently need HELP !!!
Hello, I’m new here in the forum. I also have a question or a problem: I bought a 1 golf cabrio last week and a few days later I noticed that the matures that the cart has on it (205/55R15), according to the registration certificate part I are not registered (there are only 175/70R13 registered). I have now read in the internet that there are still so-called coc papers on which there are possibly other sizes. however, I did not notice these when buying and I doubt that the dealer still has them. so: I’m driving around with unregistered matures. in addition, the fact that the matures in a driver’s and co-driver’s curve or in a bottom wave at the back strip the wheelbox… (I wonder how to put such flaps on it then…) now is the question what I’m doing. I got matures from my mother with the size 170/65R14. first question: do they fit on my rims at all? and then make sense of it. to have them entered? or can you have these coc-papers or similar copied somewhere (tüv o.ä.) on which the other mature sizes stand? many thanks already for your answer. mz1202

40000 kilometers with my Chinese Westlake tires
After about 40000 kilometres with Westlake tires in the tire size 185 60 15 have now converted to adhesive tires. My experience with the Opel Meriva: – the first 200 kilometers slightly slippery on dry road. – then not noticeable on wetness or on dryness. – very low wear – at the end at approx.2.5 – 3 mm profile depth very susceptible to aquaplaning. – until the end good braking behaviour in wet weather – until the end no tire noise – no tyre damage Conclusion: better than expected.

Can I spat these rims or should be welded
Hello dear vehicle maintenance forum, I have since the end of December my first car a Seat Arosa 6h Bj. 97. Now the winter wheels on yellow steel rims are so beautiful. The summer wheels are however serially black with a yellow glued strip (was still the first expansion stage). Well now this would be a downgrade in my eyes. So now I have to have aluminum rims now I have also found exactly the size like my summer Dunlops which I have. Price also still to bear. but they would have to be painted in a few layers anyway, most probably they should then become black. My question is now only how do I get rid of the stacks. Now I have divided opinions on the topic of aluminium rims spat. I am clear if I always run with it on the curb that does not last long. But now in particular in this case I can spat aluminium rims with what and how exactly. Or would there have to be partly something welded on if yes what costs it Ps. the rims are not my own yet and still have to be picked up what probably happens the week.

Balanced aluminium wheels with or without centring rings?
Hello forum community! What’s your recommendation/experience, should you have new aluminium rims or wheels balanced with or without centering rings? I bought new aluminium rims (with ABE) for this summer, namely Borbet TC 14 inches, LK4x108, ET35, centering rings from 72.5 to 63,4. Another question, I was happy to take as short valves as possible, is there a page or a shop where I can see several valve variants? Preferably rubber valves, but if aluminum valves are not too expensive, could the e also take. In the appendix a few photos of the rim, centring, ABE. Thanks for their answers in advance!
