  • Does anything speak of 98H instead of 95V at vmax = 205?

Hello, my S-Max with 163 hp from 2014 is indicated in the Schein with 215/60R16 95V, but vmax is only 205 km/h. In the COC are also the 17-inch with 98V and at the very rear under optional tyres also the 18s with 98V, the 16s as in Schein with 95V and additionally the 16s with 95Q M+S (probably only with stickers). Now very few cheap V-tires are available in 16 inches. Does anything speak against to take a 98H or 99H? From 2009 or so there is no general surcharge on vmax anymore. And there is no more. an impact due to load is probably also eliminated with the higher load index, so that no sticker is necessary?

  • Does every steel rim fit?

Hello together, I have a rather lay question but I find unfortunately quite no satisfactory answer about google. I would like to buy for my old used winter tires, used. Since I do not know how long the car is still driving, the story should be as cheap as possible. Now I searched ebay classifieds and found there various “interesting” offers, partly with steel rim and partly without. The currently mounted summer tire size is 175/65 R14 8 2T. My question is now, does every x-any 4-hole steel rim fit on it? To 99% the suppliers only write the tire size and whether it is 4 or 5 holes. Still what, since I still have old winter tires on steel rims, can I buy a tire without rims if necessary and just let it pull on the old rims or do I have to pay attention to something important? Thank you for your help! Greeting

  • Are tyres damaged when mounted on and off the rim ?

Hello, are tires damaged when mounting and dismounting on the rim, and how often can you safely mount and dismount tires on rims? Background of the question is that I want to mount winter tires and summer tires alternately on the same rims. Thank you for answering!

  • Tyre purchase at Vergölst

I never buy from Vergölst in Kiel again. This arrogance and inability would have to be punished. Last year I ordered from Vergölst in Kiel, tyres with rims. Although I had called an hour before the appointment whether the ordered tyres were delivered now, I got the patchy answer: if I have an appointment, then the tires are there too. What was wrong, the tires were not delivered. For the Vergölst staff this was very funny. They were amused about it. I found it’s not funny ( 3 times 40 km for nothing) and after the third time I stepped back from the purchase contract. The answer: I am not angry with him either. I found this statement very bold. Now the greatest impudence. Vergölst told me that they thank me for the trust on my last visit to Vergölst.

  • New tires + rims purchased. Old set keep for Tüv due to registration?

Hello all, I had bought 2 completely new sets of winter and summer tyres + rims for my Audi in the past few days. Currently I have steel rims with 195/55/15 tires on it for the winter. In the summer I drove 205/55/15 aluminiums so far. I also have a sheet for them (certificate?). The 195/55/15 are registered in the vehicle license. The new tyres are both original from Audi with 205/55/16 and a 42 press-in depth. I was advised to simply drive the rims, that fits in any case and since they are also from Audi, it doesn’t notice or will not give me much trouble, should I get in control and be addressed to it. And if I have to go back to the tuv next year, I should just put on the old summer tires. I probably won’t get rid of the old summer tires anyway, because they are very rammed and the tires have only around the 4-5mm profile. As far as I know, But I don’t have any reviews or other sheets for the new rims. I don’t think that Audi still has such reviews, because I don’t even know from the one set of rims which model they come from and the other set comes from one, I think, 2004 A6. Is that a good idea or should I have the new things entered?

  • Momo Ten-s on Skoda Superb II

Three years ago, I bought Momo Ten-s for my Opel Signum. It’s 8×17 ET 35 with LK5/112. The Opel has a LK with 5/110 but they use offset screws. It’s all in the ABE and it’s also registered. Now to my problem. From the data, the rims are also suitable for the Skoda Superb II which I will probably get during the year. Of course, I would need other screws and another/ My problem is that I don’t find the corresponding test report for these rims on the Skoda Superb II. Momo’s German website is virtually no longer existing and the rim is no longer available on the original Italian side. I found a test report, but this only says general and refers to various systems which then provide the exact data for the respective vehicles. old. I own Appendix 1, which does not apply to Skoda, VW, Audi and Seat. I understand that I would need Appendix 2. Can someone help me? I haven’t found anything in the net yet.

  • REIFENTESTS IN MAGAZINES

Hello, I’m sure you also have an opinion on the credibility and objectivity of tyre tests in car magazines (ams, AB, SportAuto, MOT and what they are all called) as well as at ADAC/Stiftung WT. I’d be interested in how you think about it. Often here at MT doubt is expressed, some people are also based on lay statements at Reifentest.com. WELCHE AUSSAGEKRAFT HAVE REIFENTESTS FOR EUCH ???? I find it interesting that manufacturer Continental also deals with the topic and d that even publicly: http://www.conti-online.com/…/overview_en.html As some know, Conti had experienced a small debacle with the then new SC2 at AB . . .

  • Ask for INFO – When do I not have to use new aluminium for TÜV ?

Dear Forengemeinde, Spring is approaching and I have the pleasure of being able to choose new aluminium wheels for my vehicle. As I will most likely choose a complete set from an online provider, I would like to make sure that I don’t have to go to the TÜV and that I may say “Neee, is not”. Therefore my question: If I keep to the tyre sizes listed in the TÜV-certificate for the corresponding rim and my vehicle in the report natürl I am also listed, under what conditions do I NOT have to go to the TÜV ? Do I see this correctly that if I add aluminium rims, which have an ABE & TÜV-certificate and in the ABE the following paragraph is stated: “Deviating from the provisions of the §13 vehicle registration regulation ( FZV ) it is not necessary to arrange a correction of the vehicle documents by the approval authority if the tyre and rim sizes listed in the report are not mentioned in the vehicle papers ind” … then I don’t have to go to the TÜV ? Or do I still have to pay attention to something ? Registered in the vehicle certificate: 205 / 60 R 16 I chose 235 / 40 R 18 Thank you very much for the help !!!

  • Winter tires when did they leave?

Hello, at the moment I installed 205/55/R16 H winter tires on my Toyota Avensis. It is still about 1 mm up to the wear limit (indicator marking) of the tire. However, the tyre still has 5 mm profile on it. What looks like here. Until when can I still drive the winter tire? How would you proceed here.
