I have a problem with the all-year tires Star Performer SPTS AS: For the first time these are extremely louder in the rolling noise compared to the previous Dunlop Winter Sport M3 (ok this is due to price acceptable), but I have in a certain speed range between 30 – 50 km/h with maximum effect at about 40 km/h a pounding noise which corresponds to exactly 1 wheel rotation. It is audible like an imbalance, but the steering wheel is absolutely quiet and I have the fitter in the balance. It is the same problem that someone with Goodyear Ultra Grip 7+ has: http://www.motor-talk.de/…/…rip-7-sehr-laut-droehnen-t2953421.html I would now change the tyre type and would need your advice, to choose from the following models. Mainly important would be the Performance on snow (yes, I know this is not perfect for all-year tyres): Kumho Solus KH21 Maxxis MA-AS Pirelli P 6 Four Seasons Glue QUADRAXER Vredestein QUATRAC 3 Toyo Vario-V2+ Goodyear EAGLE VECTOR EV-2 + Goodyear Vector 4 Seasons What is your recommendation?

Problems if you only change tires by axle?
This week I have to take care of new WR for the front axle, as they probably came just below the 4mm limit, but could not measure exactly yet, because I don’t know where I get such a measuring slide. Why I didn’t pack new ones on it? When I took over the car in early August, the WR were still on it, because the previous owner “borrowed” his rags to the race management at the beginning of the year. Unfortunately he only had one set of rims. Since it was too expensive for me I was driving with the WR, but I didn’t think that the front wheels would race down so far in the 3000 kilometers driven. well, now I finally have a second set of rims, I will “a little” some time in the winter and then I can have the SR pulled on it. Since the money is scarce and the rear tyres are much better, I wanted to change the front wheels now and next month I would like to change the rear wheels. Can this cause any problems? The car is a front-wheeler, which is why the front-wheelers have also driven off more. On top are 165/70 R13 and should be again. So far there are rear and front tires of Bridgestone mounted. I know exactly model just net from the head roofed there to the Goodyear Ultragrip 7+, which is available at Reifen.com for 53€/piece. I want to get the prices at two local dealers before. Finally, the also Put someone on the rim

Warning from reifen-versand.de
I ordered 4 Conti winter tyres, received order confirmation, transferred, waited 2 weeks and then an email with the lapidare explanation that my order was cancelled because the tyres would no longer be available. Well, it was explicitly “available immediately” at the time of my order! A look at the homepage shows: the tire is still listed as available, but now for 72,– Euro instead of 55,– as before! So it is only not available to 55,–, probably already available from he for 72,-. Just 17,– per tire pay on it… I don’t get my money back for the time being, it’s parked for “later orders” on my customer account. But I’ll never order there again! You’ll be sold by them for stupid, so my urgent recommendation: DO NOT ORDER!!!

Same name, different price! Differences???
Hello, I’m just looking around at summer tyres and still swinging between the Pirelli Cinturato P7 and the Bridgestone Turanza ER 300. Both good tyres, but now to my problem: One finds from one and the same supplier the tyres with exact same designation but strongly different price. e.g. offer from my Opel dealer the Pirelli Cinturato P7 in 205/55R16 91V once for 112,- and once for 79,- Euro… There are also no abbreviations for emergency running properties, or rim protection What’s the difference? Which one is the winner of the test? Are both equally good? My dealer couldn’t tell me either.

Car breaks out with winter tires
Moin, So here’s the thing: yesterday I put on new winter tires from Goodyear. This morning I almost fell off the chair how much the car is now “floating”. It’s a Chrylser Stratus, i.e. I’m used to it all going a little more navigable, but I haven’t experienced that yet. Up to 70kmh everything is still normal, from 70 onwards I make the difference very clear and from 120 onwards you have to concentrate when driving. I don’t want to drive more than 140 anymore. I actually drive quite well. Zackig and now garnix goes more. Running direction is right and pressure is everywhere on about 2,4. I don’t really know what it can be about. As I said the difference is ENORM, lane change is only slow and no longer halfway fast because the car simply “slides away”. Is that still in any way normal? Greet you, tixiam

Deviation from standard tyres
Hi, because I don’t really know much about tyres, I ask my question here: So I drive a Mazda 121 (JBSM Bj.2000 -> Abklatsch from the Ford Fiesta). In the vehicle license are tyres of the size 185/55 R14 which are at the moment also as summer tyres on it (on standard steel rims). But I still have almost new 175/65 R14 winter tyres from my Honda, which recently landed in the press. Now my question is now whether I have these tyres (or possibly on I heard a “no” from the “friendly” and word-carrying Mazda dealer, at ATU they told me: “Only winter tyres 165/65 R14”. To hear something somewhat reliable I am to the TÜV. The nice gentleman there gave me an expression for a pocket money with serial tyres of my car (see file in the appendix). Is this now something official or is it enough for a check the Zu if I have the note in the car? Do I still have to have the new tyres registered with the TÜV? As I said: I don’t know much about the topic and I therefore rely on your help Cheers, Martin

Ultimate tyre test
Hello you! I have a very stupid question about tires, which nobody could answer in my circle of friends. So, you see a lot in test magazines how good tires are, but since there are so many manufacturers, I don’t really look through it. I’m not asking you this now, because I need new tires, but because next week I will have an interview with a German tyre manufacturer (your guess is definitely where ) and I’m sure I’ll have an interview there. So, just how do the tires of the very big manufacturers (Michelin, Bridgestone, Continental, Goodyear) differ in your opinion?? Which company does tires with a special price-performance ratio, optically the most beautiful, safest, high-quality? Is a bit like asking for the favourite football club, isn’t it? But even there are more or less clear statements like the one who buys a club always the best players, the other has a super big fan base, etc. You already know what I mean, right? Thank you very much for your comments!! Jutta

Winter tyres with strange behavior
Hello, I have the following problem: I had equipped my T4 Multivan with 4x new Michelin PA for the winter of 2009/2010 and drove to my surprise like on rails. Snowy climbs, which I could not cope with before with different cars (also front-wheelers) were suddenly no longer a problem with the Michelin. Well, and so I looked at the current winter season with great serenity, the profile had also lost only 3 mm. And now k at the shock: I’m just slipping around as if I had some awesome summer tires on it! Interesting here is that the grip increases after a few kilometers but again. Ok, you think, maybe there had to be icy snow pushed out of the profile again. Just, why was that then no problem last winter? It’s really damn stupid to slip the first kilometers like on eggs and almost not get out of a parking bay, in which one still an hour before So, I haven’t experienced such a stark difference after just one winter and 3 mm less profile in more than 30 winters of my driver’s life. I’ve driven enough winter tires a second, some even a third season. Above all, this phenomenon is new to me to have to drive for miles before the grip comes back, but I put the box off for a short while, immediately gone. Does anyone of you know that? Is this hanging with the icy temperatures together at the moment? Or? Thanks a lot!!! Thommy

Which tires fit my car?
Day, I don’t know very much about cars – but none of the tires at all and hope you can help me. Due to the new regulation I am now forced to buy new tires for my car. I own a 95 Honda Legend (KA7). In my vehicle license is under the tyres: 215/55ZR16 and the maximum axle load is 1100kg or 1090kg. I am now looking for all-year tires and in this search I have encountered several types of tires. e i found were 215/55 R16 – so R16 instead of ZR16 – is that ok? Can I also use it? Besides, behind this term is still “93H” ; “93T” ; “97H XL”. What do these, especially, back numbers like 93,94 and the corresponding letters mean? Which (full-year) tires therefore fit my car? Besides, since I’m just close to checkout – is there anything at the tire marks, even the cheapest with 65€ per tire, or can you buy the confidently ? Thanks already for the help greeting

Survey on Premio tires and car service
Hello together, first of all I would like to introduce myself briefly. I am a student in the 3rd semester and as part of my studies I deal with the advertising effectiveness of Premio tyre service. I turn to you here in this forum or via this homepage because I meet a target group here which will be decisive for my subsequent analysis. I would like to ask you to support me and participate in the following survey. It takes about 5 min. the access via Firefox. I would just like to stress once again that this is not advertising! Only an analysis which I carry out within my studies. It is also a follow-up analysis. Last year the survey also ran on this homepage. Also thank you very much. I am very grateful for your support. My regards: http://www.unipark.de/uc/divDiplomaarbeiten/19f7/
