No KBA – No. on the Carlsson Racing OZ 10J. Wheels for CLK W208
Hello, have a small or bigger problem here, with my 10j Carlsson rims ! Have the rims once with 8×17 and 10×17 and were driven more on a Mercedes w202. Unfortunately I have to note that on the 10j rims there is no KBA-.No… See attached… but on the 8j rims the KBA-.No. is available. Unfortunately I also do not have a part opinion. My question, can I get these rims cut over to a CLK w208. At the front on the 8J. rims are 205 40r17 and at the back on the 10j. rims are 245 35R17 tyres on it. what kind of tyre combination I can use best for these rims. Unfortunately I also don’t know the ET or press-in depth of the rims, but as already mentioned were these rims on a Mercedes w202. On the photo it was seen that was done, that I did, to watch that under the paint is something to recognize “which unfortunately also did not bring anything. Thanks to you who help me !

Can I drive these rims at all??
Hello people! First of all: I have no idea about rims/tires and ABEs/certificates! I bought a VW T4 VR6 built in 1996 a few days ago. In addition, there were summer tires mounted on Ronal-Alus in the trunk and winter tires on Alutec-Alus on the vehicle. In addition, a large pile of unsorted ABEs and expert reports… the seller probably didn’t quite look through there. Today I sorted the paperwork and the result: Most papers are for the rims in the trunk and then the a still some papers for BBS rims for BMW! So has nothing to do with me! So I already have no papers for the mounted rims! Prima -.- The KBA number is 46395 (and that led me to the “Alutec Nitro” rims type “NI757 5 hole”: http://www.alutec.de/…/abe-tuev-expertise-alt On the page there are also many ABEs and reports to download, but not for the T4! So I see right now that I can’t drive these rims at all? What can I do? Can ic h which still have to be registered? By the way, 205/65R15C tyres are registered in the vehicle certificate (these are also the summer tyres!), but 225/50R17 are mounted on the rims! So what to do? VG Birger

Winter tires – decision support Continental TS850 or Michelin A5
Hello, I need your help in decision-making^^ I need 2 sets of winter tyres. One for a golf variant, and the second for a caddy. So far I had the Michelin A4 with which I was very satisfied with the variant. The A5 is still quite new – in the Öamtc test he did not convince so much with consumption and wear – to what extent one can trust the tests I also not quite know… What do the tire experts among you say: Continental TS850 or Michelin A5? n Michelin would still speak of the 30 Euro voucher for refuelling. According to the test the Conti is better for this.

Combine new and old winter tires or four new all-year tyres?
Hello guys, I have a question about which I need your opinion. And I need new tires. At the moment I still have 2 winter tires Goodyear Ultragrip 8, DOT October 2011. The residual profile depth is about 4-5 mm and they are very slightly one-sided, which is why the car pulls slightly to the left when they are used on the front axle. I now stand before the choice to buy 2 of these tires and then mount the old ones on the rear axle and the new ones to the front. easy train to the left fixed (already tested with old summer tires). I wonder, however, if it is not negative for the driving behaviour at the front completely new winter tires and half worn at the rear to use. These would probably last at most one winter season. Summer tires I don’t have any anymore at all at the moment. Therefore, I think about buying new all-year tyres from financial resources to the Falken All Season AS200. These were combined with the Goodyear Vector Autobi ld test winner. What would be your choice? To combine the 2 previous winter tyres with new winter tyres as described or to buy more than 4 new all-year tyres. It is important to get through the winter season now, since I don’t know how long I drive the car anyway. However, there is also a holiday trip to Spain, where it is not so hot there anymore and it can get sensitively cold on most of the track at night. Last year would be The basic question is: What’s better? Combine 2 new and 2 old winter tires or a new set of premium all-year tyres? Thank you for your answers, Best regards, Robin

All weather All year Allseason tire tests
I know it’s a serious matter to mention the term all-year-round tyres in a forum full of experts. That’s why I’m just asking if tests are known, I’d like to read something. So in general, you know, there are good and bad tyres, as well as expensive and cheap ones. So I get it, with all-weather tyres there is also a “interpretation” What I mean: summer tyres are designed for summer, winter tyres for winter. All-year-round tyres, on the other hand, ko Some even tend towards winter or some direction towards summer. Some even towards open/offroad. It would be unwise to get the wrong maturity for your own application, so I’m looking for tests. What I’m looking for is: W speed index (up to 270), runflat, 225/50/R18 According to my previous knowledge, there is no such maturity. So I’m going to have to take a “slower” up to 240km/h and do without it. (but that’s another topic) “interpretation” direction winter, I will only drive it in winter, but hope to get a better tuning for the transition time than for a pure winter tire. That’s the thought behind it. I know in the april it snows and has +25C. I want to mature for that. (as long as I don’t trust in SR) willy

How important are premium tyres to you in summer?
Hello, I just wanted to ask how important expensive premium tyres are for you in the summer. I personally have never been on “Billigriff” before and can hardly assess to what extent this is noticeable on the road. I know, the test reports speak a clear language, however, these are also only extreme situations with trained drivers, as “tire loan” I would simply say that the driving skills of the driver are a little more important than the brand of the tires… In winter this is not a very clear thing for me, because I will never get anything else in the house except a quality tire…But how is it in summer? If you look at the price differences, sometimes you get really bad and not rarely it is that you pay half of the money alone for the name of the company. I guess in the year about 20,000 new KM come to the clock, of which about 3/4 are driven in the city, therefore I am I’m really thinking about getting a cheaper version, with a complete set of r18 rubbers this (if you compare the cheapest and the most expensive tires) easily 400€. What do you think about it, or what are you talking about?

Broader tyres than approved?
Hello! We have moved our Suzuki Grand Vitara, 20 years edition, V6, built in 2008, to Mongolia. Our tyres are absolutely exchangeable. In the letter of that time it says that we are allowed to drive in Germany 215/70 R16, 225/65 R 17 or 225/60 R18. Which rims we have, unfortunately, I do not know, could not find any lettering, but are still the original rims. There are zzt. however only 235 tires. If it were possible for the safety-wise on the existing rims wehnen? Legally it wouldn’t be a problem and we don’t really care about the look. Since the roads – if they exist – are very bad, the tyres have to endure a lot. Can someone help me? Unfortunately I have no idea… Thank you in advance!

Online dealer with tires from ongoing production
Which of the tires online dealers carry copies from current production? What is your experience? My online search results in the following results: reifendirekt.de – rather not reifen.com – rather not reifen Schreiber – yes reifentiefpreis.de – yes Is this in line with your practical experience (where it is true)? Some of the remaining dealers seem to be somehow connected to reifendirekt.de. At least the tire search engine is the same. irem price (not covered) and tyres from current production I ask you here to refrain from discussion about current jurisprudence regarding the permitted age of new tyres.

Damaged tire flank – someone an idea what that might have been?
Hello, I had our passat on Monday in the inspection (VW dealer). When I picked it up again, the service consultant told me that the flank is damaged at the front left. Does anyone have an idea like this could have happened? I may have the wash road suspected. There is such a band on which one is pulled and the guys sometimes misrepresent. I also do not want to exclude 100% that the damage in the car dealership has occurred. Basis to prove this – I didn’t check all the tires before. Maybe someone knows the damage picture. I’m surprised to see the peeled-off surface in “X” optics. Besides that, we can see longitudinal cuts/cracks. Of course, I know that these are just speculations 🙂
