  • Maximum pressure tyres

Hello. Since I have a tyre release from Goodyear for my Mercedes 212 station wagon, in which at least 3.5 bar are required as full-stamp air pressure, I wonder if if the tire gets warm through the ride, the tire can get too much pressure? It is Goodyear summer tire Assymmetric 2 in 255/35R19 on a 8.5×19 rim all around. Load index is 96Y =1420kg per axle, rear axle load is according to vehicle certificate 1400kg, on the AHK seats still a bicycle carrier with 4 bicycles With a lan the ride to Italy the tires will get warm, and the air will warm up in the tires The tires have also been registered by the Tüv. The cruising speed with bicycle carrier is also limited to 130km/h How much pressure does such a tire withstand?

  • Nexen N9000?

  • Tire size all right?

Dear Motor Talker, a question about the right tyre choice: my Jeep Grand Cherokkee 4.0 ZJ currently has quite low BF Goodrich All Terrain tyres 225/70R16 on it. Other series tyres for my car are probably 215/75R15 100S or 225/75R15 102S. Now my problem: we are in Mongolia with the car and are standing in front of a longer ride, which is why we would like to raise new tyres again. But the above-mentioned large ones are not so easy to get (or so far even ni Only winter tyres in 225/70R16 could be found, but this is because we want to buy summer or all-weather tyres, of course, no option. Says, apart from the question of deviations on the tacho, o.a. something against tyres of the size 225/75R16 (103S) or 235/75R15. Unfortunately, I know too poorly about the topic, in order to answer this question myself, did not become familiar in the forums and expert advice here on the spot is not so clear. e more. Thanks already, Stefan

  • Problems new tires and rims imbalance, height

Hello, I bought new tyres in the net Nokian Z-line 255 35 19 and with a dealer on site Wheelworld Wh 18 rims. The tyres were pulled up and balanced at this dealer. 3 rims had very little weights around the 10-30 gr. A rim had so 80gr. I noticed then when driving vibrations, less in the steering wheel, but in the accelerator and otherwise in the car at the seats etc. To be sure that with the rims and tires really everything is in order, I have to mature just at one The tyre dealer thinks that the tires are above the tolerance and actually have to be reclaimed. And with a wheel also possibly the rim. It has been re-weaved, now I have about 60gr on 3 wheels and on a rim so almost 110gr. The car now runs quieter after the hunting, but not yet perfect. How should I have been with a Hunter 9700. Do you have a bad feeling? Hang on to the test report. Ask for help Daniel

  • Full-year Hankook 225/45 R17 Optimo 4S – Experiences

Hello I would like to pick up Hankook all-year tires mentioned above. So I would like to ask you about your experiences with this model in exactly this size r17 225. Please do not answer any answers on the topic all-year tires, good or bad but please only answers from people who really drove this tire. Thank you

  • Tires damaged – dangerous?

My mini apparently had an edge stone touch with the right front tire and a piece of side wall from the tire was “peeled out” (see pictures). The tire is exchanged, that’s no question (especially since there are only 3,500 km on it and I can swap separately). The problem now is that I actually wanted to take a longer ride with the mini on Thursday (a total of 1,000 km) and don’t know if the tyre dealer of my trust can make the exchange by Wednesday. Therefore, my question to people who know the matter: is it dangerous to ride such a track with the tire or does it fall into the category “must be done, but nothing happens”. One more request: Opinions of “interested lay people” do not help me. So please only write something if you really have a clue about the matter. Thank you.

  • Are these tires still okay?

Hello all, I bought a complete winter tyre kit at ebay. A tyre has damage in 2 places on the flank. Does anyone know if this affects the stability of the tyre or if this is a problem? vg

  • Summer tires have “suddenly” sawtooth after removal – borrowed from the tyre dealer?

The summer wheels (by the way always changed between the rear and the front when changing tyres) suddenly had a sawtooth with loud rolling noise (Michelin Primacy HP with MO recommendation from Mercedes and without reference to sawtooth inclination in Motor Talk) compared to the previously driven, quiet winter wheels. The summer tyre profile had 0.25 mm less on 3 of 4 wheels than before storage (e.g. just under 6 instead of 6 mm). have no saw tooth (so separate track adjustment, defective shock absorbers or driving style, etc. as a cause). Explanation for the “sudden” saw tooth? 1. a) Since the noise increased only slowly in the last summer season, it did not notice and the saw tooth was therefore not discovered. b) The 0.25mm are measurement tolerance. 2. a) The summer wheels could theoretically have been rented by the tyre dealer for about 2000 km on an unsuitable car with wrong track or defective shock absorbers. b) According to my observations, 2000 km can explain 0,25mm profile reduction based on the mileage since outsourcing. So the theoretical question: Are 2000 km on the wrong car with lane adjustment or defective shock absorbers to create a feel-, sight- and audible saw tooth (not yet vibrating in the steering)? Since the car is ok and the tyre type according to available information is actually also, I would like to get the cause out before I buy a new tire. Answer 1.) then probably a different type of tyre from Michelin (are “most roundest”, even if he does not have a MO recommendation from Mercedes (due to there testing). Thank you for relevant tips in advance greeting CGI BE

  • What are your experiences with Michelin Primacy 3?

Some have asked about the Michelin Primacy 3, many have bought it, I would be interested in your first experience with the tire (rolling noise, rolling comfort, driving behaviour…). I can only report about a friend who drives the Primacy 3 in the 225/45/17 ́s size, on a touran. Before that he had mounted the Conti Sport 3, which was quickly worn out and rolled off loudly. He is very satisfied with the Michelin to date (very quieter, very good driving behaviour).
