  • Tires balanced out so difficult?!

Hello, I have had so many bad experiences with tyre dealers in recent years: I was repeatedly there to balance, because they just didn’t get it. Sometimes the machine also showed 0/0 and still there was an imbalance. Wheels again on the force machine and then there was 10/5 though before it was displayed 0/0! How does this come about? I would like to add a force machine to myself… Greetings Frank

  • Winter tires – experience

Hello! Unfortunately, I am once again spoilt for choice! Therefore, I am asking for the middle of your experience. I need new winter tires (225/55/R17) for my Espace. I have driven the Kumko KW17 on my previous Espace for the last 4 years. The car was delivered at the end of Nov. and quickly I got no other brand in this dimension (except bigger 200.- the piece – following prices always included, balanced). I was then totally skeptical about the Kumho, but d he told me so positively that I dared. Today I can say I did not regret it. At that time I paid for the Stk. 125.- and so I drove to the 30,000km (tire wear at Espace generally slightly higher, but still less than 5mm residual profile depth) and the driving characteristics were good in all weather conditions (drying 1, wet 1, snow 2, consumption less than with the Michelins in summer – it also falls away the climate nail, noise like summer riding All over 160.- the piece, in my opinion, does not fit price/performance. Why? Because I was completely disappointed on my predecessor cars with a so-called test winner (Michelin – clear note 5) and if I consider this today the GoodYear was also not better than the Kumho. Therefore I tend to.: Falken HS-439 (130.-) Nokian WRG2 (145.-) Kumho KW 27 (145.-) ev. Hankook W300 (145.-) ev. Semperit Speed-Grip (155.-) It would be great if ever one has experience with the tires and this would tell me. (drying, rain, snow, noise (he tends to sew tooth formation), wear) Thank you very much for your answers. Greeting Joe

  • New winter tires needed despite enough profile depth?

Hi, recently bought a W124 on which already Conti Wintercontact 810 winter tires from 2004 were mounted. I checked the profile with one € and the golden edge is completely covered. On our road is an ice layer with some snow over it and when I wanted to drive our daughter to school this morning and wanted to turn on the road I got stuck. Around the cars is a larger pile of frozen snow and I stood across the road, the tires dre Without the help of nice AWB staff, I would not have come to my parking lot or anywhere else. Is this because of the extreme weather conditions, or do I need new tires despite enough profile. My wife has new all-year tires from Hancock on her Twingo and could then drive our daughter to school. And I don’t know if I still have problems with new tires on ice and the money is then thrown out for nothing. t on the vehicle (weight, drive, etc.)?

  • Rim entry without passenger seat?

Very briefly the facts: The vehicle is a Mazda MX5 NC so a two-seater. I shot at the motor fair in Essen cheaply (trade fair discount) complete bikes, which I want to pick up in March. The company is in the Cologne area. I come from Bochum, about 150km (on my original rims I have now winter tires). The rim company offered me to do the assembly and registrations, which is very convenient to me. Because if there is something wrong (lenkradflattern Unbalance) I can immediately change Now it is true that a roadster is not the ultimate means of transport. I have to build out the passenger seat at home and place it in place of 2 or 3 wheels. One fits in the trunk and the other possibly on the luggage carrier. Could the Junx from the TÜV/Dekra complain if a seat is missing? The seat has an egg-built airbag, but can be switched off. It is only about the rims.

  • Where’s the ET?

Hello, I need a little help. I bought winter tires that don’t fit my Corsa B as expected, they don’t fit on Corsa C either. No man now knows what kind of car these tires could fit. The following is on the steel rims: Jx13 CH46 HMC. I’ve already found out what this J and 13 means. Does CH basically mean ET 46? Further there are 3 numbers on the rim, around the .. yes, 4 holes distributed: 25 or is this the ET? 05 A9 6 Is this the hole circle? Oh so, and the tires umzu haben following dimensions: 155 / 80 R13 Vielen, vielen Dank im vorvor für helpfule Reply. LG Yvonne

  • Remove Spikes from Tires: Tool Wanted

Hello, I am looking for a tool for moving from Sweden to Germany, as I get the spikes out of my winter tires. Theoretically it would be possible with a pointed tong, however, this is quite exhausting, especially since all 4 tires have 2 rows of spikes. I have been looking for a while on the Internet, but unfortunately only read about the fact that it would have used a tool more often in the 70s in Germany than at that time Spikes were forbidden, but unfortunately did not have more precise information found what kind of tool it is. I asked Westfalia, but they said that they didn’t lead a tool to this purpose. Does anyone know about it? I am very grateful for any help.

  • Winter complete wheels 245/60 R15 – where can I get them?

Servus together! I’m looking for my Ford Ranger (EZ 89) winter complete wheels. I have the following questions and would be very happy about help! 1. Is my guess that winter tyres are cheaper in summer? 2. Are steel wheels recommended for winter? What are the disadvantages (have they got one?)? 3. Where do I get tyres in size 245/60 R15? I found only one or two (Chinese) tyres on the internet. Alternatively, I would have found the size 215/75 R15, which gle me I’ll take you to question number 4: The comments in the vehicle license are below: “formerly also 215/75 R15”. Does that mean that I can still put them on? Thank you very much! Best greeting, Tom

  • We’ve damaged the tire flank.

Hello, I’ve had a rather stupid mess today: because of a walker with a dog I’m on a VERY narrow road too far to the right and hit the curb. At home I noticed that on the one hand the wheel cap is completely scratched (not so wild) and on the other hand a small piece of rubber is missing from the rear tyre flank. Can someone tell me how far this is dangerous or doesn’t make this little piece much up. To the tyre dealer I can j a bad driving, he will definitely try to turn on a new tire… picture click me! Vehicle Polo 9n3 1.2 incredible 55 HP 😉

  • Tyres: crack in the tread. What to do?

Hello dear people. I cleaned my summer tires today and I noticed a crack in the tread of the tires. As it is difficult to describe it all, I took pictures of 3en of the 4 tires. All 4 tires have these cracks. Apparently they are only superficial and not even 1mm deep. The “Rille” where the cracks are located is exactly in the middle of the tread. It is about the tires: Firestone Firehawk. Size R15 185. Made 14-2008 and I only drove 7816 km with it What do you think about it?
